Re: Spain 5/6 May

Marca's predicted lineups for tonight:

Real Sociedad: Bravo; Mikel González, Juanito, Víctor López, Garrido; Garitano, Aranburu, Rivas, Xabi Prieto, Savio; Kovacevic.
FC Barcelona: Valdés; Zambrotta, Puyol, Thuram, Silvinho or Gio, Edmilson, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Ronaldinho and Eto'o

As already said, there's no way Barcelona should be such clear favourites in my opinion. They're not winning many away games - they won their first 3 of the season, but since then they've won just 2 of 13, and they've lost 4 of their last 5. Real Sociedad starting to find a little bit of form, especially at home.

Real Sociedad 1X v Barca @ 2.5 3pts
Real Sociedad v Barca @ 6.6 1.5pts

Re: Spain 5/6 May

Only one more bet for me today, from Segunda B group 2, Lemona to beat Palencia.

Palencia are 2nd on 60pts, Lemona 6th with 55. Top 4 go into promotion play-offs. Form is definitely with Lemona though - Palencia have just 1 win from their last 7 aways. Lemona's season has been a very strange one, with excellent runs and terrible runs - 2pts from their first 4 games, then 7 wins in their next 8, then 12 without a win, now on a run of 10 without defeat (7 wins and 3 draws). They've got 5 straight home wins, all to nil.
Based on a league table for the 2nd half of the season, Lemona are 5th, Palencia 14th. H2H in Lemona is 3-2-1 for Lemona, but they've won the last 3.

Checked forums, no mention of any major players missing for either side that I can see.

2.375 for the home win looks a decent price to me.

Lemona v Palencia @ 2.375 2pts

La Coruna - Valencia
I still think that Deportivo could win this game,Valencia is playing bad in away games..

Deportivo: Aouate; Coloccini, Lopo, Andrade, Capdevila; Sergio, Duscher; Pablo Alvarez, Juan Rodríguez, Riki; y Arizmendi.
Valencia: Cañizares; Miguel, Ayala, Moretti, Del Horno; Joaquín, Marchena, Albiol, Silva: Villa y Angulo.
Deportivo@2.75...2pts

Vecindario v Elche
Motivation should be key factor in this game,Vecindario is long time ago relegated ,Elche needs points to be safe....

Vecindario: Kelemen; Marcos Suárez, Dorta, Kirian, Vicente; Ciani, Markel, Carrizo, Yeray; Morales y Xisco.
Elche: Caballero; Fajardo, Trotta, Niño, Bellvís; Raúl Martín, Pere Martí, Coelho, Oscar Díaz; Gastón Casas y Peragón.
Elche@2.50.....4pts

Hercules v Ciudad de Murcia
Hercules is solid home team they still need couple of points to be safe,Cuidad shitiest away team

Hércules: Aragoneses; Redondo, Urbano, Sergio, Albacar; Mantecón, Diego Mateo; Carmelo, Farinós, Sendoa; y Moisés.
Ciudad de Murcia: José Juan; Ceballos, Iván Amaya, Cristian Díaz, Ayoze; Torrecilla, Gibanel, Rafita, Manolo; Saizar y Goitom.

Cracking stuff guys

Glad to see that the Gimnastic price, or rather the Levante lay is one that others agree with.

Seen Levante twice in the last few weeks and they really are a horrible horrible side.

Im on quite heavy, cue a 5-0 home win

Ciudad have started getting results away from home though of late - wins at Vecindario (admittedly that's nothing special ) and Cadiz (more impressive), a draw at Malaga and a narrow defeat against Murcia. Maybe the pressure's off them a bit now their season is over? Having said that, 2.4's not a bad price on Hercules, although I wouldn't feel all that confident backing them. Good luck though

Re: Spain 5/6 May

RC i still think that they are shitiest away team ,they have good players and they are losing from bad teams
Vecindario -No comment:wasntme
Cadiz-that was good result but everyone knows that Cadiz is playing much better away ....
Draw against Malaga, my mom could take draw from those idiots
I respect just that time when they lost in a derby game from Murcia i watch that game they war playing good football.....
As for today`s match i think Hercules could take three points but I’m not so confident ,as i said earlier no more big bets in Secunda for me this season...

Real Sociedad - FC Barcelona
Have to disagree with everyone here regarding Barcelona.. true their away form is bad and theyll surely miss Deco, but their not gonna give up the title that easily and Sociedad have had some good results but this is Barcelona and ill back them to win this match maybe 2-0 tonight.. 2 pts

Nice correct score there Monty

Have taken Castellon tomorrow, reasons as given yesterday, and Castellon according to Marca have a full squad to choose from. That'll do for me.

Castellon v Poli Ejido @ 2.2 5pts

Re: Spain 5/6 May

Osasuna have some problems for tomorrow. Delporte is out injured yet again, just after coming back from a 6-month lay-off. They're also without Milosevic, Webó and Corrales. Mallorca apparently have Europe in their sights. Unlikely, as they're 7pts behind 7th with 6 games to go, but who knows, if they can keep up their current form, they'll stand a chance. 6 straight home wins for them, and I reckon they can make it 7 tomorrow.

Mallorca v Osasuna @ 2.12 3pts

Under most other circumstances, I would've been quite interested in Atletico tomorrow - Espanyol have the UEFA Cup on their minds, and important players missing - De La Peña, Riera and Jonatas are all out. However, Atletico have important absences themselves - no Torres, Leo Franco, Varela or Seitaridis. 2.92 looks a very tempting price on Espanyol, mind you, given Atletico's poor away form and the players they've got missing. Will have to think on this one a bit more.

Have gone off Betis, not sure why, I just have. Looks quite drawish to me.

Will go with Nastic too to get a win at Levante, for reasons already discussed above. A real 6-pointer for them, win here and they'd close the gap on Levante (just outside the relegation zone) to 3pts and give themselves a real chance of avoiding relegation. No win in 10 for Levante, while over the same period Nastic have been getting some impressive results, beating Sevilla and Zaragoza (home) and Bilbao (away), and drawing at home to Valencia. Their away form's not the best, but their price is far too high.

Levante v Nastic @ 5.3 2pts

Re: Spain 5/6 May

A few I could be interested in for tomorrow in the Segunda B.

Group 1:

Racing Santander B v Puertollano

Racing B are bottom, 9 points from safety with 4 games to go, so basically they look doomed. Visitors Puertollano are 3rd, top 4 teams make the play offs. Racing B have lost 8 home games so far this season, while Puertollano are a pretty strong away side, 7-5-5. Unbeaten in their last 5 aways, including trips to the teams in 2nd and 4th.

Actually, scrap that now, as I've just found team news, and it seems Puertollano have quite a few injury problems.

Fuenlabrada v Ferrol

Ferrol 4pts from the play offs, Fuenlabrada mid-table and nothing to play for. Ferrol's away record pretty impressive, 6-9-2, although admittedly Fuenlabrada aren't bad at home, 9-5-3. Can't find any team news, but the 2/1 available on Ferrol looks a little bit on the large side to me.

Lanzarote v SS Reyes

Lanzarote just 3pts above the drop zone, SS Reyes 8pts off play offs with 4 games to go, so virtually no chance of making it there. Lanzarote in very good form, just 1 defeat in their last 13, and 11 games unbeaten at home (6 wins 5 draws). SS Reyes also in decent form, just 1 defeat in their last 12, and 4-8-5 away from home. Maybe Lanzarote's greater urgency for the points may just give them the edge. 2.25 available, not a bad price for the home win.

Universidad Las Palmas v Alcorcon

I've just got a thing for opposing ULP lately. They're currently 4th, but threatening to throw it all away, winning just 2 of their last 9. This season they've already lost to the teams in 10th, 12th, 13th and 17th. Alcorcon are 15th, and poor away from home, 1-8-8. Could be tempted by a lay of ULP.

Group 4:

Extremadura v Villanueva
Extremadura currently in a relegation play-off place (bottom 4 go down, 5th from bottom goes into a play off). Villanueva would need to win all 4 remaining games to make the relegation play-off place, otherwise they're going down automatically. Extremadura with 5 wins from their last 6. Villanueva terrible away from home, 2-3-12. Around 1.8 available, not the best of prices, but Extremadura shouldn't lose this one.

Will decide what ones I'm going with tomorrow, but that's the shortlist.

Re: Spain 5/6 May

Actually, no I won't, I've already decided. Will leave out Lanzarote, as I've just read an article suggesting SS Reyes haven't yet given up their chances of promotion, especially as they still have 2 of the top 4 to play, meaning they'll have a chance to close the gap on both of them were they to win. Will go with the others though.

Extremadura v Villanueva @ 1.8 4pts
Fuenlabrada v Ferrol @ 3.0 2pts
Lay Universidad Las Palmas @ 1.35 liability 1pt
