FT 1-0 Seville plus 11-8 in players.

Ref sounded well dodgy, gave Seville 2 pens, both missed, had to send off a Ath player before Seville scored.

Re: Spanish midweek stuff 21-23 March

There will no doubt be some enquiry into game, ref's handling off it, sending offs but the game completed all 90 mins plus injury time so I would imagine all bets will stand.

Uproar on the Betfair forum, it was in-play there but when it was suspended they didn't re-open markets, cue much carnage and nashing of teeth from everyone who wanted out of their bets. One lad phoned them, BF said game abandonded, markets closed, he said, nope, its back playing final 14 mins, BF goes "Ohhhh ....."

I guess it was good for me to stay away from La Liga currently. But this game is foul, smells fishy, if the ref said it's suspended, why do they want to finish the game? He deserved to be missiled.

Well I got something right in this game anyway

It wasn't even on in Spain in the end Crowie. Telemadrid were showing it, and they left the ground about 10 minutes after it was stopped, and from what I could make out they seemed to think it had been abandoned. I've only just now found out they played the rest of the game.

The ref, as I pointed out about half hour into the game on here, was totally incompetent, he just had no control over the game, there were a lot of niggly fouls, the game was constantly stopping and starting, and the ref was too happy to flash the cards around (as most refs in Spain are). The first penalty appeared to be a dive by Saviola, but I wouldn't criticise the ref too much for giving it, it wasn't obvious at first that it was a dive. It did lead to Luccin getting booked though, and as he was later sent off I guess Atletico may appeal that. No arguments at all with the second penalty, a blatant and totally unnecessary handball.

Bah, that's 8 points lost for me on that game. I'm doing crap on my Primera Liga predictions
