Re: Scandinavia 28-30 April

Sandefjord – Tromsø

Two teams that has 4 points so far.
Sandefjord started with a loss to Lyn in their first game, but has taken 4 points on the last two games. In first home game they were better then Aalesund and won 3-0. Are very good at home. Managed to take a little lucky point away against Viking in last game, and their two central defenders played a very good game. Ødegård, Mjelde and Johanessen is still out with injury. Thorsen is still doubtful after a hit in his leg.
Sandefjords last 6 games:
22.4 Viking (A) 0-0
15.4 Aalesund (H) 3-0
9.4 Lyn (A) 0-3
12.11 Fredrikstad (Cupfinal) 0-3
5.11 Molde (A) 3-2
29.10 Vålerenga (H) 0-2

Tromsø started with a loss in their first away game against Rosenborg (3-4). Has taken their 4 points on homefield and are normally not the best away team, has only 8 wins in the last 3 seasons. Their first home game against Vålerenga was even, while against Start they should have won. Created many good chances but Rushfeld and Årst didnt get the ball in the net more then one time. Goalkeeper Borch and defenders Nordnes and Pedersen are long time injuryed, and hasn’t played any games yet. Defender Håkonsen is back from suspension.
Tromsøs last 6 games:
22.4 Start (H) 1-1
15.4 Rosenborg (A) 3-4
9.4 Vålerenga (H) 1-0
5.11 Vålerenga (A) 1-3
29.10 Start (H) 1-0
23.10 Lillestrøm (A) 2-1

H2H on Storstadion 2-0-0 4 - 2
H2H total: 2-1-1 6 – 8

All games between these two:
2006-08-06 Tromsø - Sandefjord 2 - 2
2006-04-23 Sandefjord - Tromsø 1 - 0
2002-07-07 Sandefjord - Tromsø 3 - 2
2002-04-14 Tromsø - Sandefjord 4 - 0

Sandefjord are small favorites on their homefield. Tromsø not the best awayteam but could get a point.

Start – Stabæk

Start without a loss after 3 games, while Stabæk has 4 points.
Start still unbeaten, after a 5 points on their first 3 games. Won their first away game, against poor Aalesund (4-2). After that they have a draw against Viking and Tromsø. This will be their second game on their new stadium. First game was pretty poor until the 70 min, before both teams decided to attack, ended 1-1. Start had some players injuryed in this weekend and defenders Borgersen, Engedal, midfielder Fevang and attacker Matihsen are all out. Hardarsson, Valencia and Lie are all back in training and could get the chance this weekend.
Starts last 6 games:
22.4 Tromsø (A) 1-1
15.4 Viking (H) 1-1
9.4 Aalesund (A) 4-2
5.11 Odd (H) 2-1
29.10 Tromsø (A) 0-1
22.10 Sandefjord (H) 0-2

Stabæk has played better and better lately. Started with a loss in first homegame against Brann. A even game away against Vålerenga ended 1-1, but home game against Rosenborg was good, and they won 2-1. Gunnarsson scored both goals against Rosenborg, so attacker Nannskog and Gunnarsson has scored all Stabæk goals this year, and continus as they did last season. Has no injury problems. Somen Tchoyi played very good against Rosenborg and dominaded the midfield. Many good offence players in Alanzinho, Nannskog, Gunnarsson and Tchoyi. Strong defence, but has conceeded a goal in every game so far.
Stabæks last 6 games:
21.4 Rosenborg (H) 2-1
15.4 Vålerenga (A) 1-1
10.4 Brann (H) 0-1
5.11 HamKam (A) 5-1
29.10 Molde (H) 8-0
22.10 Vålerenga (A) 1-3

H2H on Sør Arena 2-1-2 9 - 9
H2H total: 3-3-5 17 - 20

Latest results on SørArena:
2006-05-28 Start - Stabæk 1 - 0
2002-04-14 Start - Stabæk 1 - 1
2000-07-30 Start - Stabæk 2 - 5
1996-05-05 Start - Stabæk 1 - 2
1995-04-30 Start - Stabæk 4 - 1

Pretty open game between two good teams. Stabæk has played best lately and if odds are nice i’m considering AW.

Rosenborg – Brann

This weeks biggest game. Rosenborg has 4 points, while Brann has won all 3 games.
Rosenborg lost away to Stabæk in last game. Took the lead but could managed to stop Gunnarsson. Won their first home game against Tromsø with 4-3, after being down 1-3. Not the best start so far for Rosenborg, but has started the last seasons with some problems too. Rosenborg will miss defender Riseth, Basma and Lago. Midfield Tettey is probably back in the sqaud. Iversen and Storflor had a little fight on Wednesday, but all are good now. Rosenborg wants revenge after last game, and are just looking forward to this game-
Rosenborgs last 6 games:
21.4 Stabæk (A) 1-2
15.4 Tromsø (H) 4-3
9.4 Viking (A) 1-1
10.12 OB Odense (H) 0-1
7.12 Brann (A) 2-3
3.12 Helsingborg (H) 0-1

Brann won their third straight game after beaten Vålerenga 4-1. Scored two goals in the first 10 minutes, and was a little lucky when Vålerenga missed a chances alone with Opdahl, and hit the bar a few minutes later. Has improven their play game by game, but normally gets problems playing away. Won away against Stabæk in their first away game. This game will be even harder. Only midfield Bakke is out, so coach Mjelde can choose from a big sqaud. Attacker Sæternes is topscorer in Tippeligaen with 4 goals so far, scoring all goals against Vålerenga. Also Helstad has started well with 3 goals. Solli and Helstad will here meet they former teammates.
Brann last 6 games:
22.4 Vålerenga (H) 4-1
16.4 Strømsgodset (H) 3-1
10.4 Stabæk (A) 1-0
1.3 Brøndby (A) 0-3
25.2 OB Odense (A) 2-3
10.12 Helsingborg (A) 2-2

H2H on Lerkendal Stadion 21-9-7 101 - 41
H2H total: 36-20-18 160 - 91

Latest games on Lerkendal:
2006-11-09 Rosenborg - Brann 1 - 3 (Royal League)
2006-06-05 Rosenborg - Brann 0 - 0
2005-10-16 Rosenborg - Brann 4 - 1
2004-04-12 Rosenborg - Brann 1 - 0
2003-08-03 Rosenborg - Brann 2 - 2
2002-10-27 Rosenborg - Brann 4 - 0

2000-04-16 Rosenborg - Brann 4 - 4
1999-07-07 Rosenborg - Brann 2 - 3

Rosenborg is always favorites at home, and need points here. Both teams might score, so over and both to score.

Lillestrøm – Lyn

Derby from east-norway. Lillestrøm with 7 points. Lyn has 6 points.
Lillestrøm still without a loss after 3 rounds. Won their two first games, but only got a draw away against 10 men strong Strømsgodset. Played almost the hole game against Strømsgodset with one man more. Won home against Fredrikstad without many problems in first round. Captain Kippe got read card against Odd and will miss this game, as he did against Strømsgodset. Also Mouelhi is suspended after a red card on overtime in last game. Midfield Brenne is doubtful after a new hit against Strømsgodset. Also midfield Arnasson is injuryed. Has played well so far, and creates a lot of chances. Strong defence with just one goal conceeded.
Lillestrøm last 6 games:
23.4 Strømsgodset (A) 1-1
15.4 Odd (A) 1-0
9.4 Fredrikstad (H) 3-0
4.3 OB Odense (A) 1-1
10.12 Brøndby (A) 1-1
7.12 Brøndby (H) 1-1

Lyn has won their two first home games. Played well in both, and created a lot of chancese. In their first away game they lost 1-3, but got a red card after just 5 minutes, that destroyed a little. Defender Brink is back from suspension, while important defender Berntsen is still injuryed. Attacker Edu missed the Odd game but should start this game. Has done it pretty good away last seasons, but has a terribel record against Lillestrøm.
Lyns last 6 games:
22.4 Odd (H) 3-1
14.4 Fredrikstad (A) 1-3
9.4 Sandefjord (H) 3-0
5.11 Lillestrøm (A) 0-2
29.10 Fredrikstad (H) 1-2
22.10 Viking (A) 2-1

H2H on Åråsen: 12-3-2 33 - 13

Latest results on Åråsen:

2006-07-19 Lillestrøm - Lyn 2 - 1 (NM-Cup)
2005-04-17 Lillestrøm - Lyn 1 - 0

2001-05-06 Lillestrøm - Lyn 2 - 1
1997-10-12 Lillestrøm - Lyn 2 – 0

Lillestrøm are favorites, and should win.

Vålerenga – Strømsgodset

Vålerenga with only 1 point, meets Strømsgodset that has taken 4 points so far.
Vålerenga has started with two losses away to Tromsø and Brann. After two even games against tromsø and Stabæk, they got a really bad start against Brann. Was down 0-2 after just 10 minutes. Could have been a better start, since they missed alone with the goalkeeper after just 10 seconds, and hit the bar right before Brann scored their 2.goal. After that they didnt creat much. Have some problems in defence that need to be better if they dont want to conceed to many goals. Especially on their left side with Jepsen and Mila they had problems, giving Brann very much room. Midfield Holm missed the Brann game and also defender Johnsen missed that. Both are unsure before this game. Also attacker Sørensen might miss this game. No other players are injuryed. Bought the danish defender Thomassen, will be ready to 1.july.
Vålerenga last 6 games:
22.4 Brann (A) 1-4
15.4 Stabæk (H) 1-1
9.4 Tromsø (A) 0-1
1.3 Helsingborg (H) 1-2
10.12 Elfsborg (A) 3-2
7.12 Viborg (A) 2-2

Strømsgodset played well in first homegame against Odd, won 2-1. Lost away to Brann 1-3, but took the lead there and the game was even to around 60 minutes. But after conceeding 1-2, Strømsgodset didnt show much. Got a point home against Lillestrøm, where they got a early red card to Ohr (suspended here), got down 0-1, but managed to get back and got 1 point. Sørum and Driscol is still injuryed. Strømsgodset showed against Brann that they can play well away, but it is at home they need to take most of their points.
Strømsgodsets last 6 games:
23.4 Lillestrøm (H) 1-1
16.4 Brann (A) 1-3
9.4 Odd (H) 2-1
5.11 LøvHam (H) 2-2
29.10 Sparta (A) 7-3
22.10 Moss (H) 1-0

H2H on Ullevål: 7-2-2 29-16
H2H total: 9-6-7 45-39

Latest games on Ullevål:
1999-07-25 Vålerenga - Strømsgodset 2 - 3
1998-07-13 Vålerenga - Strømsgodset 1 - 1
1996-05-16 Vålerenga - Strømsgodset 3 - 0
1994-05-29 Vålerenga - Strømsgodset 2 - 2
1993-06-12 Vålerenga - Strømsgodset 7 - 1
1992-05-10 Vålerenga - Strømsgodset 2 - 1
1990-09-09 Vålerenga - Strømsgodset 4 – 1

Some years since they last meet each other. Vålerenga need to do a better job then against Brann and should win. HW.

Fredrikstad – Viking

Fredrikstad with 4 points, while Viking has 3 points and still not lost a game.
Fredrikstad has started as they did last year, plays well at home, and very rarly takes points away. Got a point against Aalesund in last game (3-3), and there could easily be more goals in that game. Both teams was unhappy with the ref that took away big chances and goals for both teams. In their first homegame they won 3-1 against Lyn, after playing almost the hole game with 11 against 10. Fredrikstad will miss Bertelsen who is out for a long time, and haven’t played any games yet. Also Piroja and Berg is injuryed. Goalkeeper Shaaban is doubtful. Needs to continue their good home form, lost only 2 homegames last season.
Fredrikstads last 6 games:
22.4 Aalesund (A) 3-3
14.4 Lyn (H) 3-1
9.4 Lillestrøm (A) 0-3
12.11 Sandefjord (Cupfinal) 3-0
5.11 Rosenborg (H) 1-1
29.10 Lyn (A) 2-1

Viking has 3 draws against Sandefjord, Rosenborg and Start so far. The two first games was even, and with a little lucky they could have won both. Against Sandefjord they played pretty well, but didnt managed to score on any of the big chances they had. Pimpong start his first game for Viking in the atttack, but didnt show much, and was out after 1.half. Ijeh came to a few good chances, but still Viking has problem with scoring and has scored only 2 goals so far. Its positive that the defence is pretty solid. Haven’t let the other teams created many chances. Eiriksson (DF) and Gaarde(M) is still out with injury. Ross (DF) and Pimpong (F) are unsure. Has to do better away if they want to fight around 4-7 place.
Vikings last 6 games:
22.4 Sandefjord (H) 0-0
15.4 Start (A) 1-1
9.4 Rosenborg (H) 1-1
5.11 Brann (H) 5-0
29.10 Rosenborg (A) 1-4
22.10 Lyn (H) 1-2

H2H on Nye Fredrikstad Stadion 16-6-2 51-25
H2H total 23-10-16 80-75

Latest results on Fredrikstad Stadion:
2006-07-23 Fredrikstad - Viking 2 - 1
2005-04-18 Fredrikstad - Viking 2 - 1
2004-06-27 Fredrikstad - Viking 0 - 0

1981-06-21 Fredrikstad - Viking 3 - 0
1980-10-19 Fredrikstad - Viking 1 – 0

Fredrikstad has good results home against Viking. Should be abel not to lose this game. DNB on Fredrikstad for me. Odds around 1.90

Odd – Aalesund

Odd with 3 straight losses, will meet Aalesund that has only 1 point so far.
Odd has lost all games. A well deserved lost in first away game against Strømsgodset(1-2), but played a little better against Lyn (1-3). 2 last goals came in the last 10 minutes. In first homegame against Lillestrøm they played well and created chances on counter-attacks. Important Svindal Larsen was back against Lyn, so the midfield look better now. Some problems in the sqaud. Midfield Dale will miss this game. Attacker Pospech that came from Czech in the winter has so far been pretty bad, and got only 45 minutes against Lyn. Young Gulsvik(17) that came in, scored on a very good freekick.(speed 107 km/h). Has played a little better lately and need to find back to the good home play they have showed the last seasons.
Odds last 6 games:
22.4 Lyn (A) 1-3
15.4 Lillestrøm (H) 0-1
9.4 Strømsgodset (A) 1-2
11.11 Bryne (A) 7-1
8.11 Bryne (H) 3-0
5.11 Start (A) 1-2

Aalesund with 1 point so far. After lost their two first games to Start (2-4) and Sandefjord (0-3), they managed to take their first point against Fredrikstad in a game with chances both ways. Was leading 2-1 and 3-2 but ended 3-3. They played well in first half against Sandefjord away, but in second half they got more problems and lost 0-3. Not very good away normally, and with a defence that has conceeded 10 goals on 3 games it can be a hard season for them. Wingers Olsen and Austnes was good in last game, and gave Fredrikstad many problems. They need to continue their good form and give tall Aarøy many good passes up front. Jääger, Werni, Larsen and Dede is still out.
Aalesund last 6 games:
22.4 Fredrikstad (H) 3-3
15.4 Sandefjord (A) 0-3
9.4 Start (H) 2-4
5.11 Pors (A) 5-1
29.10 Kongsvinger (H) 3-3
22.10 Bodø/Glimt (A) 2-0

H2H on Skagerak Arena 3-1-0 11 - 2
H2H total 4-2-3 17 – 13

Latest results on Skagerak:
2005-07-31 Odd - Aalesund 2 - 1
2003-09-21 Odd - Aalesund 3 - 0
1998-06-28 Odd - Aalesund 5 - 0
1997-05-19 Odd - Aalesund 1 - 1

Think its time for Odd points and HW for me.

Good luck all!

Re: Scandinavia 28-30 April

Nothing really caught my eye in 'Denmark Super Ligaen'.

Odense vs Midtjylland is going to be a close game, both teams fighting for the second spot. Since Bruce Rioch left Odense they have struggled to find the consistency that they had in the autumn. Midtjylland haven't impressed either, but they could be worth a small punt.

AaB should beat almost relegated Vejle, but 1.35 is too low. The same is 1.45 for Brøndby to defeat Esbjerg. FC København will probably beat Silkeborg - but 1.40? No thanks!

Horsens vs Nordsjælland and Randers vs Viborg - what to say? Could be anything, Randers interesting me slightly though.

Re: Scandinavia 28-30 April

Scottish leagues ending, time to head north.

Valerenga - Godset. Oh. I Hate that one. I just dont beleive Valerenga can show any consistency. No, no bet

Fredrikstad - Viking even worse. No idea at all. A low scoring draw ? Thats what happens with " no idea"

Odd - Aalesund Were it other way round I would go for Aalesund for sure. Odd are probably worst in the league, and even here I think Aalesund can win. Yes looks right. AW

Sandefjord - Tromso. Sandefjord are still slow starters, so it coud be nice for some HT/FT, like away/home or maybe Tromsoe to score first.

Start -Stabaek That is a big one. What we will see is are Stabaek big enough to go for a high position in the league. Would leave that one alone.

RBK - Brann Somehow dont doubt the HW, RBK seem pretty solid this year, despite the shaky start. Probably my golden single

Lillestroem - Lyn Looks like a safe HW, but it is not Monday yet

Second division

Bodo - Skeid Anyone can beat Skeid, a safe game for a combo

Bryne - Sarpsborg Odds too low onBryne, while Sparta should start getting some points. Small squad they are, but they do not deserve to be rock bottom. AW for me. Of course not too confident - the odds say a lot

Haugesund - Mandal Neither are Haugesund that good nor are Mandal that bad as the odds suggest. No bet for me

Kongsvinger - Notodden Notodden have started well, but still Kongsvinger are due a victory. Small stakes HW

Lov Ham - Sogndal. Anything possible. No bet

Molde - LFH Low odds on Molde, but wont miss it

Raufoss - Moss Moss are pretty agressive this year, still I think Raufoss should win this one.

Tromsdalen - Ham Kam GOOOOOD odds on Tromsdalen, up north was the only place in the world where they used to get some points. They've reversed it this year, but - if they can beat someone away - they can beat anyone at home

Re: Scandinavia 28-30 April

Thanks for the kind words engineer

Nice writeup snowman. Not totaly agree with all your picks, but hope you continue to follow up with previews

Dont have much time, so i will take Adeccoligaen very short this weekend:

Bodø/Glimt - Skeid
Bodø with 2 wins of 3 possibel and 7 points. Has scored 11 goals so far, all has come in the last 2 games.Topscorer is T.Olsen with 5 goals. Still miss Londak (GK) and Johansen (A).
Skeid has only 1 point so far. Has a many youth players and are very unstabel. Started with a 1-5 loss in first game away.
B/G should win here, and handicaps on -1 and -2 are worth a try. Over could be good to. Could be a big win if B/G gets a early goal.

Bryne - Sparta
Bryne with only 3 points after 3 games, and are very unhappy with that. Has a good squad and should do it better. Played a very good home game against Sogndal (2-1). Still miss midfield Stokkeland.
Sparta has played very good, but has lost all 3 games. Gets H.Johansen back here.
Bryne should win. HW odds aint good, so i try a little on Bryne(-1).

Haugesund - Mandalskameratene
A derby game from southwest coast of Norway. Haugesund plays very well, but has so far had problems with scoring. Won their first homegame. Andreassen is suspended. Has won the last three home games against MK.
MK has played two terribel games, and conceeded 11 goals. Needs to improve their defence pretty soon.
Haugesund are favorites but odds are low. Over might be the best bet.

Kongsvinger - Notodden
Kongsvinger has played very well so far, but has only 3 points. Loaned defender Førsund from Vålerenga.
Notodden has 5 points after 3 games. Has played against 3 of the worst teams, and this should be the hardest game so far this season. Defender Thompson is out.
Kongsvinger has the best results so far, HW to 2.00 is worth a try.

LøvHam - Sogndal
Derby on the west coast of Norway. LøvHam has 4 points so far. Won their first homegame. Beaten Sogndal in their last to games here.
Sogndal won after a goal on injury time last game. That was their first points this year. Still got a few players out.
Hard game to find any bet in here.

Molde - Hønefoss
Molde with 3 wins so far, but haven't played to well. Important midfield Hoseth is doubtful.
Hønefoss with 5 points, and still no losses.
Molde are favorites, but odds is really bad.

Raufoss - Moss
Raufoss with 2 points after 3 games. Haven't met the best teams yet, but played well in last away game. Only 0-0 against LøvHam in first homegame.
Moss has played well so far and has 6 points. A strong win ober Bryne in last game (4-0). Not to good away, won only 4 awaygames last year. Goalkeeper Holtan is out.
Moss has played best so far, try some small stakes on AW.

Tromsdalen - HamKam
Tromsdalen normally best at home, but so far they have won both awaygames, and lost at home. 6 points so far, and will miss midfield Johannessen here. Plays on a artifical ground (not gras).
HamKam also with 6 points after they lost to Bodø/Glimt in last game. Are one of the favorites to promotion, and need to quick find their way back in winning streak. Bjerke, Sørum and Coorman is still out.
Could be a good match with many goals in. So over for me.

Good luck!

Re: Scandinavia 28-30 April

I tend to agree with ES Kongsvinger to beat Notodden cos it's a respectable team in the 2nd Div. Newly promoted teams usually show a lot of zest in their early games. Now it"s meeting a tougher opponent and class will probably prevail. I feel Kongsvinger is starting to pick up.

Thanks mates.
Was a pretty good weekend. Just Moss destroyed some. They are continue their bad away record from last season.
