Re: Ireland 26-28 April

St Pat who are without a league loss in the seven games of which they won six and drew once with Bohs. They also boast a enviable defensive record of 2 goals conceded this far. Rovers on the other hand are similiar with a proud record of only 4 goals conceded in the 7 games played this far. Both teams have kept a clean sheet of 5games. Both teams have met twice in 2006, winning 1 game each and the scoreline was 2-0 on both occasions.
Bet Under 2.25...3/10

UCD are on a 3 game unbeaten record and should see off Longford who are themselves improving after losing the first 5 games. They drew with Galway and won their last game against Waterford (both teams are rooted to the bottom of the table at the moment). UCD are 2-1-1 at home with only 1 goal conceded and 5 goals for. Longford are 0-1-2 away and with 5 goals conceded and 1 goal for. UCD are near full strength again Aand Longford will miss Doyle but Patrick Sullivan returns.
Bet UCD to win outright...5/10
The other game I will be interested in is the game between Drogheda and Cork City. Both these teams teams have met 5 times in the previous year and the maximum goal for a single game has been 2, out of which 3 games ended a scoreless draw, a 1-0, and the other ending 2-0. Drogheda are on fire now and I expect them to take a narrow win or in the worse case scenerio a draw.
Bet Under 2.25...3/10 Drogheda -0.25...4/10

Chief hope your thinking is the same as mine.....

Update : Webb and Fitzpatrick will be out for Droghs. So they are left to the bare bones of only 13 players today.
Cork has also some injury doubts. This brings the under bet more to my liking and would change it to 4/10. However for the Droghs -0.25 I will still go with my heart rather than my head, but with lower stakes of 3/10

Re: Ireland 26-28 April

Derry City V Bohemians-Draw @11/5: Reckon this game has got draw written all over it. Derry have been poor so far this season and last weekends shock loss at home to UCD saw Fenlon vow to get rid of the dead wood. Although theres not much he can have done in a week I reckon we'll see a better Derry side tonight.
Derry have a fantastic record against Bohs and have won 6 and drawn 2 of the last 8 meetings between the sides. Bohs need a win tonight to gain ground on the two leaders but I reckon they might have to settle for a draw against an improved Derry performance.

Kilkenny V Kildare @6/4: Bit of a risky one here. One thing I'm pretty sure of is Kilkenny won't win this one. They're a poor side who haven't improved a great deal from last years dismal performances. Usually I wouldn't be the biggest Kildare fan and they have a tendency to draw matches they really should win, but they're on a decent run of late and followed up an excellent 2-0 away win at Athlone with a good 1-0 win against Finn Harps.

Kilkenny are no great shakes and they have been beaten by Kildare in their previous 3 meetings. Obviously the draw is a danger here and the safer bet would be Kildare (+1) but I'm a bit of a loose cannon so I'm gonna go for the straight away win.

Drogheda V Cork(+1) @4/9: Pretty confident of this bet as I reckon Droghedas continuing injury worries will finally catch up with them tonight. They've done brilliantly to win their last 5 games with a shedload of injuries to cope with but they had extra time on Monday night in a hard fought match with St Pats and picked up another couple of injuries which led to the radical step of trying to get this match postponed. Cork can get at least a draw tonight I reckon.

UCD V Longford @8/11: UCD have a good home record and are a very hard side to beat at Belfield. Longford are a poor team whose only victory this season has come against rock bottom Waterford. They will most probably be in the relegation scrap come the end of the season and I'll be surprised if they get anything from tonights game.

I'll be surprised if theres many goals in thsi game and I shall be playing the Unders Market @1/2. All Longfords league games have finished Under this season and 4 of UCD's last 6 have also ended under.

Verdict:
Derry Bohs Draw @11/5: Confidence 5/10
Kildare @6/4: Confidence 5/10 (KIldare(+1)-Confidence 8/10)
Cork(+1) @8/13: Confidence (7/10)
UCD @8/11: Confidence (7/10)
UCDV Longford Under 2.5 Goals @1/2: Confidence 8/10

Good Luck to All.

UCD @8/11: Confidence (7/10)

Good Luck to All.
Nearly a great night for me with Kildare ruining things somewhat by throwing away a 3-1 lead to eventually draw 3-3. The UCD Longford result didn't help either. Derry and Cork both got draws to make it an ok night all in all.
