Kansas City v Toronto Thursday (AM)

Huge value in this game to be had tonight.

The home win is @ 1.66 and this is a very very solid bet imo. Being a bit more risky try the Asian handicap -1 @ 2.11. I really cant see anything other than a Kansas win here so at worst you get your stake back if they win by 1 but i fancy them for a few goals.

So heres my reasoning...

Toronto are a new team this season. Only played a few games so far so literally no time at all to gel and get some consistency going.

With them being a new side they have brought in some experienced players but their side still lacks quality in depth. They are going to have to go down a similar route to Chivas and RSL where for their first 2 seasons they were the whipping boys of the league until they stabilised their side.

Couple of injury problems too. The experienced O Brien is out. Eska who i rate is doubtful too so on already a weak squad these injuries as well as a few other minor ones dont help.

Toronto have lost their first 2 games 2-0 away to Chivas and 4-0 away to New England. I rate Kansas an all round better team than these two so you can see where this is going.

Kansas have started off the season well. Only two games in but they have played away in argueably the two hardest away games they will this season to DC and Chicago.

A superb win over DC with a 2-1 loss to Chicago. Performances have been very good so far.

No real injury worries and with Eddie Johnson showing his class this early they look far too strong for Toronto and i think they are worth a decent bet with the straight home win kept for combos.

Kansas to win @ 1.66 Betfair (9/10)
Kansas -1 Asian Handicap @ 2.11 Canbet (4/10)

Totaly agree with this pick Kiko. In my local I have 1.80 (!) for Kansas to win and I will be on them with high stake. If you ask me 1.80 is a gift. Odds around 1.65 are also nice. We will see, this is beggining of the seasson but Kansas City are much better these days then newcomer Toronto.

Thats an ENORMOUS price

I really would be all over that like a rash.

Kansas for me are the most complete all round side in the league. Defence is solid...Midfield are great battlers - just lack that big playmaker imo....upfront is solid and a threat. Sealy is in with Johnson now since Wolff left but Sealy is more prolific imo although maybe not the better player.

Lets hope we are all counting our cash come tomorow morning

Reached the playoffs when he took over NY and did alright first season in charge. Second season nothing seemed to go right for him although to be fair there was many problems with injuries and player ego's which didnt help matters.

KANSAS CITY -- After sitting out his team's 2-1 loss at Chicago this past weekend, Kansas City Wizards forward Scott Sealy will likely miss more time due to an ankle injury.

The injury occurred last Wednesday in the Wizards' loss to Real Salt Lake in their U.S. Open Cup play-in game. The Trinidad & Tobago international had come on at the start of the second half for fellow frontrunner Eddie Johnson but was then substituted for in the 77th minute. When asked if he would be able to perform in the Wizards home opener Wednesday evening at Arrowhead Stadium against Toronto FC, Sealy held out little hope.
Ok Sealy doesnt look likely he will play which is a blow but Kansas still have far more quality. Sealy was only a bit part player last season anyways.
