Re: Greek Thread - 7th-9th

Happy New Year to all,
The last games of the 1 round in A Ethniki this weekend. The game Xanthi - AEK is the derby of the round, lets see if AEK winning streak will continue.
Close to the end of the 1 round in B Ethniki, and as usual this time of the year in this League, most of the games are derbies.
Btw there are games for the Southern group of C Ethniki on Wednesday, and I will give my bets there, mainly for the Greek readers, and of course for those who want to follow.
The games are on Jan 4th, 1.45 CET, odds from Betandwin.
Diagoras - Aghios Dimitrios 1.75 3.20 4.20
Both teams are in the middle of the table. Diagoras are good travellers but surprisingly not so good at home (1-3-1 there). Now they have to improve their performances at home in their effort to challenge promotion. The team is looking to make some transfers to improve their roster, and this shows they want something better in this league.
Aghios Dimitrios are rather mediocre travellers, without an away win so far. They have important absents in this game, regulars Georgiadis, Soupionis, Pappas, Georgief. Also important regular, and player there for many years, Kontopoulos left the team.
Form: Diagoras - Ionia Hanion 1-0, Ethnikos - Diagoras 1-2, Diagoras - Aharnaikos 1-1, Rodos - Diagoras 4-1. Aghios Dimitrios - Eolikos 1-0, Ionia Hanion - Aghios Dimitrios 2-2, Aghios Dimitrios - Vyzas 1-1, Ethnikos - Aghios Dimitrios 3-0.
Diagoras is improving lately and they want something better in this League. Given their opponents absents and also Aghios Dimitrios rather mediocre results as travellers, they are the favourites in this game. The odds are not bad, and my bet will be Diagoras win, 1.75 at Betandwin, stakes 5/10.
Aharnaikos - Thyella Patron 1.45 3.45 6.50
Aharnaikos are third in the table along with Lilas Halkida, and have chances of promotion. They are strong at home, (5-2-0 there). A team that also is looking for some transfers this winter, in their effort for promotion. Some players left the team during the Legue interruption, but this was something expected. Thyella are in the middle of the table and always a difficult opponent. As travellers their results are 1-2-3, but they had an impressive win 1-4 vs Panetolikos in the last away game. They are looking for some transfers this winter as well, but also some players left the team during the interruption.
Form: Halkida Lilas - Aharnaikos 0-0, Aharnaikos - Keratsini 1-0, Diagoras - Aharnaikos 1-1, Aharnaikos - Ionia Hanion 2-1. Thyella Patron - Rodos 0-0, Thyella Patron - Ahaiki 0-0, Panaitolikos - Thyella Patron 1-4, Asteras Tripolis - Thyella Patron 3-3.
Aharnaikos are strong at home and much motivated for this game. However Thyella are hard to beat, and also the predicted rainfall can help their defensive play. The odds for the home win are lower than expected, so I will include the game in a combo.
Ionia Hanion - Keratsini 1.50 3.25 6.25
Both teams are in the bottom of the table, so the game is a derby as both are in relegation danger. Ionia are better at home (2-1-3). A team with fighting spirit but some lack of experience, as they are new promoted in the League. They are improving lately, and also want to make transfers in their effort to avoid relegation. Keratsini are mediocre travellers (1-1-4). Important game for them as well. They have some mediocre performances so far and they are looking also for transfers in their fight to avoid relegation.
Form: Diagoras - Ionia Hanion 1-0, Ionia Hanion - Aghios Dimitrios 2-2, Ionia Hanion - Ethnikos 0-1, Aharnaikos - Ionia Hanion 2-1. Keartsini - Ethnikos 0-3, Aharnaikos - Keratsini 1-0, Keratsini - Rodos 1-1, Ahaiki - Keratsini 0-1.
A derby between teams that are looking to avoid relegation. Ionia are better at home and will be fully motivated in this game. They are the favourites given also Keratsini mediocre results away. The game will not be that easy as the odds imply, so I will include the home win in a combo.
My bet will be a combo, Aharnaikos + Ionia Hanion= 1.45*1.50 = 2.17 at Betandwin, stakes 3/10.

Re: Greek Thread - 7th-9th

The results in C Ethniki
Messiniakos - Ahaiki 2-1
Aiolikos - Asteras Tripolis 0-1
Aharnaikos - Thyella Patron 1-0
Atsalenios - Panetolikos 2-0
Diagoras - Aghios Dimitrios 0-0
Ionia Hanion - Keratsini 2-2
Apollon Athinon - Rodos 2-1
The leaders Messiniakos won difficult as they were down 0-1 at half time. Important win for Asteras Tripolis with a dubious penalty. Important win for Atsalenios as well. Diagoras was the better side but didn't manage to win, another draw at home for them. Draw at Hania, in the derby of the teams that are fighting to avoid relegation. A really bad result for Ionia. Important win for Apollon, their first at home.
Not a good start for the year bettingwise 8 units lost :( .

Re: Greek Thread - 7th-9th

For the Saturday games in A Ethniki
Panathinaikos - Larisa
Panathinaikos are 8 points left behind second AEK and 9 points behind first Olympiakos, so the game is a must win for them in their fight for a Champions League spot, or even the Championship. Also a win here will be a morale boast for the big derby vs Olympiakos next week. After some bad results, the team was improved vs Egaleo in the previous round and they arehoping for a come back. Panathinaikos are good at home in front of their fans. For this game they will play with 4-4-2 system. They will miss Ungarian National Torgele (F) who is not always a regular anyway. Larisa is ambitious for an Uefa Cup spot this season, and they are based in their hot home ground. They are rather mediocre travellers, without an away win so far. They are in rather mediocre form, as they had some unlucky results in December, including a loss 4-0 from Olympiakos away. Larisa is a team that play open football with a good offensive line. In this game, and in order the heavy loss vs Olympiakos not to be repeated, they will play more conservative. Note that coach Donis of Larisa was a player of Panathinaikos. They will miss regulars Gavrilopoulos (F), Zagas (M), also regular Stournaras (D) returns in the squad after a long time injury.
A very crucial game for Panathinaikos. The team is improving lately, on the contrary Larisa is in mediocre form and will look for some transfers this month. Many times this season Panathinaikos won at home with 1 goal difference, so this is a possible result as well. From the other possible bets, it looks like an over given mainly Larisa away stats, but in this game they will play more carefully in the defense. Also the line in the Asian probably is high for Panathinaikos and the small value there is in Larisa. The odds for the home win are low, around 1.25 at max., but not far from fair. I will include the game in a good combo.
Panionios - Egaleo
Panionios are in the last places, just 1 point above relegation zone, so the game is crucial for them. A team that was not expected to be in relegation danger in the beginning of the season. Panionios place in the table, made the fans react, mainly againt the president of the team. Before the game many fans will make a demonstration against the president, and very few will attend the game. Panionios made some transfers these days, Zografakis (M) from PAOK, Kabadais, Krassas (F) from AEK, Gaspar (D). Also regular Kiassos (M) left the team. Zografakis and Gaspar will start vs Egaleo. Panionios are improved lately, they come from a loss away vs in form Iraklis, and before they won at home Atromitos 2-0. They are better at home. Egaleo also had some transfers this days. Barkoglou (M) left the team, he was a regular last year, but he missed the last games. Also regular Fotakis (M) probably will leave the team. They signed Kiezek (GK) from Polonia Warsawa. Egaleo are in the middle of the table, with chances for an Uefa Cup spot. For this game they will miss regulars Sidibe (GK), Edusei (D), Manousakis (F), Fotakis (M). Regular Agritis (F) returns form a long time absence, also captain Skopelitis (M) returns in the team.
As an Athenian derby, a close game is expected. Panionios need the points badly, and are the favourites in this game, as they play at home as well. But the climate in the team, mainly between the fans and the president is tensioned, and this can affect them. Every result is possible in this game. As both teams have good defenses, few goals are expected. My bet will be the under 2.5 goals, 1.65 at Gamebookers, stakes 5/10.

Good work Beanie :) .
Statistics are pointing to the under in this game. The team news and form are not bad for this pick, so GL to us and to every one who follows.
For the Saturday game in B Ethniki
Paniliakos - Thrasyvoulos
Paniliakos are last in the table with only 3 points so far. A team with many young players that lacks experience and maybe quality. They are almost already relegated. The morale is low in the team, and these days there were developments in the board. Wealth president Stavropoulos announced he will leave the team calling the people of the city of Pyrgos to take control of the team. Paniliakos have many consecutive losses, so they are in rather bad form. For this game they will miss regulars Karabelas (M), Rodrigo (M) who missed the previous games as well. Also regular Bris (F) is doubtfull. Regular Mitrof (F) returns in the team after a long time injury. Thrasyvoulos is a team challenging promotion this year. They are third in the table and want to remain there. They are in good form, as they come from a home win vs promotion challengers Niki Volou, and also a good performance vs Olympiakos in the Cup, even though they lost 2-0. A team with good defense, away they usually play with counters, but vs weak Paniliakos this can change. Thrasyvoulos are not very strong away (1-3-2). For this game they will miss regular Tsvetanof (M), also Koutsokostas (D). In the transfer period, Thrasyvoulos are looking for some signments, but so far Apostolou (D), Moisiadis (D), Tzorvas (GK) will probably leave the team. They are players that some times were in the starting squad.
Important game for Thrasyvoulos in their fight for promotion. Paniliakos morale is low but they have to fight in every game. The game is a possible under given Thrasyvoulos good defense, and also Paniliakos scoring problems. The predicted rainfall can help in this. Thrasyvoulos are the favourites in this game. They are better team, and in good form. The odds for the away win are low, around 1.50 max., and don't represent much value. I will include the away win in an accumulator.

Excellent stuff as ever Censor and good to see you mate. I'll see if i can get on the unders on that one. Quick question if you dont mind Censor.

Apollon Kalamaria - PAOK Thessaloniki on Monday. My local ladbrokes go 1.70 and some go as short as 1.47. I was gonna put some money on something tomorrow just so as i have a chance to eat on Tuesday. You think its worth me chancing the away at that price? To me it looks as if even the 1.70 is too short :(

censor 07-01-2006 11:07

Re: Greek Thread - 7th-9th

Komp, I am thinking of PAOK away win too. Both teams are from Salonica, and PAOK fans will be the majority. PAOK is better team and are the favourites. Note that last year Kalamaria won PAOK at home in the last rounds and avoided relegation. Personally I will wait for the last team news, as PAOK have some doubtfull players, and also the weather prediction for Monday. But I agree that 1.70 is a fair price for the away win, and maybe worth a bet.

Re: Greek Thread - 7th-9th

This local Athenian derby was an under :).
The results
In A Ethniki
Panathinaikos - Larisa 3-0
Panionios - Egaleo 0-1
In B Ethniki
Paniliakos - Thrasyvoulos 2-2
Panthinaikos won with a good performance in the second half, a more difficult win as the score implies as Larisa was good in the first half. A close and rather balanced game at Nea Smirni, where Egaleo made their first away win even though they were playing with 10 players in the last minutes due to injuries. Really hard times for Panionios.
Surprisingly Paniliakos made their best performance so far in the League, and managed to take the draw from Thrasyvoulos. A bad result for both teams in the end, as 1 point doesn't help Paniliakos in their fight to avoid relegation, also Thrasyvoulos left valuable points at Pyrgos.

Re: Greek Thread - 7th-9th

Thanks Komp ;).
For the Sunday games in A Ethniki
Xanthi - AEK
Xanthi are good at home, without a loss so far. In the tranfer period Xanthi probably will sign Sanmartean from Gloria Bistritsa, the brother of Panathinaikos player. Also regular Karabas (M) left the team for Anorthosis. Before the holidays break, they had a loss away vs Akratitos, in a crucial game for the home side. Now they want to start the new season with a positive result. A team with good offensive line, also not conceed goals easy at home. For this game they will miss important striker Luciano, also regulars Di Matia (D), Cikinio (D). AEK come from 9 consecutive wins in the League. They come from a difficult win at home vs Kalamaria 2-1 before the holiday break, also a draw at home vs Ethnikos for the Cup, in a game coach Santos rested some regulars. The morale is good in the team, as they are close to the first place and also 8 points before third Panathinaikos, so they are favourites for a Champions League spot. In the recent transfer period, AEK managed to retain Julio Sezar (M-F), also they are under negotiations with Iraklis for striker Kapetanos. A team with good defense as travellers, and some strikers that can score. For this game they will miss important regular Katsouranis (M).
AEK have 9 consecutive wins, impressive record, but their last performances are not convincing. Statistically is a matter of time for this streak to stop, and Xanthi have a strong home ground for that. Both teams have some important absents, also the predicted rainfall can affect the game. AEK are much motivated, also Xanthi want to come back from the last unlucky results. Probably an under given maybe AEK good defense as travellers and Luciano absence for Xanthi. A hard call, where the draw looks value. My bet will be a double chance, Xanthi 1x, 1.55 at Ladbrokes, stakes 5/10.
Ionikos - Olympiakos
Ionikos have some good performances so far in the League. The team is in good form lately. Before the break, they had an impressive lose at home to Niki Volou 1-4 for the Cup, but in this game it was obvious they didn't want to qualify. In the transfer period important striker Koibra left the team for personal reasons. Ionikos is a team from Nikea, a suburb of Pireaus, and this region is dominated by Olympiakos fans. So Olympiakos supporters usually are the majority in these games, and this can explain Olympiakos tradition vs Ionikos. However Ionikos is in good form and have a good opportunity to take a positive result vs Olympiakos. A team with good defense and some players that can score. For this game they will miss regulars Perone (M), Ofridopoulos (D).Olympiakos are first in the table and want to stay there. They have good tradition vs Ionikos and will have the help of their fans in this game. A win in this game will be a morale boast for the big derby vs Panathinaikos next weekend. A team with good offensive line and some quality players. Important to note that Olympiakos don't have a draw so far in the League, and statistically its very rare for a team to complete the first half of the Championship without a draw. For this game they will miss important regular Toure (M), also Babagida (M) that are with their National teams for the Copa Africa. Regular Kostadinou (F) returns after a long time injury.
Olympiakos are the favourites in this game. They are better team, and will have the help of the fans, also they have good tradition vs Ionikos. However Ionikos is in good form, and also statistically maybe is time for the first Olympiakos draw. The odds for the away win are too low for me, max at 1.35. At these odds the draw looks value.
My bet will be the draw with small stakes.
For the rest of the games
Levadiakos - OFI
Levadiakos are low in the table, 1 point below relegation zone, and need points badly. Before the break they had a loss 1-0 vs Olympiakos away with a good performance. In the transfer period they signed Venezuelan National Vitali (M), also Adralas (D) from PAOK. A team with good defense, at home they play more offensive. For this game they will miss regular Zisopoulos (M). OFI also is in relegation danger, just 1 point above Levadiakos. They are rather mediocre travellers (0-4-3). They had a loss 2-0 vs PAOK away before the break with a rather good performance. In the transfer period they signed Oforiquae (F) an ex Olympiakos player, Kostadinidis, also Isa (D) will join the team. Also regular Stavrakakis (D) left the team. For this game they will miss important regular Mahlas (F), also Degiannof (M), Isa.
A very crucial game for Levadiakos. The team looks in good form, and also reinforced in the transfer period. OFI are rather mediocre travellers and have some important absents. The game is crucial for them as well. A possible under given Levadiakos way of playing. My bet will be Levadiakos -0.25 in the Asian, 1.90 at Pointbet, stakes 5/10.
Atromitos - Akratitos
Both teams come from Athens. Atromitos come from an important away win vs Kallithea, before the break. Atromitos are in the middle of the table, ambitious for an Uefa Cup spot. A team with good defense, at home they play more offensive football. For this game they will miss important regular Petkof (M). Akratitos are in the last places and in relegation danger. They come from an important win vs Xanthi at home before the break. In the transfer period Kappos (D), Mousoumpou (M) left the team, not always regular player. Also regular Paganin (D) probably will leave the team. A team with good defense but with some scoring problems. For this game they will defend mainly. They will miss regulars Make (D), Zouela (M), Vougiovic (F), also Paganin that missed the previous games.
Atromitos are the favourites in this game. They are better team and play at home. Akratitos will defend for the draw mainly, also they have impotant absents. The odds for the home win are low and the draw is not out of the question, so my bet will be the under 2.5 goals, 1.80 at Stan James, stakes 4/10.
Kallithea - Iraklis
Kallithea are in the last place, and need points badly. They come from a loss at home vs Atromitos before the break. They are looking for some signments in the transfer period. A team with scoring problems. For this game they have important absents, regulars Sila (M), Lazanas (F), Giantsef (M). Iraklis are 6th in the table, ambitious for an Uefa Cup spot. They have a new board, actually it was in the past as well. They come from a win at home vs Panionios before the break, and generally they look in good form. For this game they will miss regular Poursanidis (M).
A very impotrant game for Kallithea. However they are in mediocre form, and have important absents. Iraklis is in good form, and better team, so I give them an edge. My bet will be Iraklis on level ball, 1.93 at Bet 365, stakes 4/10.

Thanks mate ;)
For the games in B Ethniki
Aris - Haidari (without spectators)
Aris are 4th in the table, so the game is a must win in their effort for promotion. A team with good defense but some scoring problems. They are in good form lately, and are good at home. For this game important regular Caceres (F) returns in the squad, also regular Garcia (M) after a long time absence. Haidari are in the middle of the table. They are doing well, as their main target is to avoid relegation. A team with good defense, as travellers they play with counters. They come from an important win at home vs Kalamata 3-1 before the break. For this game they will miss regulars Goudelitsas (M), Tournas (M).
Aris are the big favourites in this game. They are in good form and much motivated. The predicted rainfall can affect the game, also a minus for the home side for one more time is the absence of fans. The odds for the home win are lower than expected, so I will include the game in a combo.
Ergotelis - Veria
Ergotelis are second in the table and favourites for promotion. They are strong at home in front of their fans. In the transfer period they signed Portuguese National Kennenty (D), also Stavrakakis (D) from OFI. A team with good offensive line, now reinforced in the defense. Not major absents for them. Veria are in the middle of the table. They come from a difficult loss away from Kerkyra, before the break. They are looking for some signments in this transfer period. A team with good defense, away they play with counters. Veria will have important absents in this game, regulars Amafuele (F), Equeme (M).
Ergotelis are strong at home, and motivated for this game. Veria have good defense but now their task is difficult. They also have important absents in the front line. The odds for the home win are low but fair. It can be a single for those who like the odds, or a part of a combo.
My bet will be a double, Aris + Ergotelis = 1.40*1.35=1.89 at Expekt, stakes 6/10.

censor 08-01-2006 01:36

Re: Greek Thread - 7th-9th

For the rest of the games
Kalamata - Kerkyra
Kalamata are in the last places just 2 points above relegation zone. They come from a loss away vs Haidari before the break. A team with good defense but some scoring problems. They are looking for some signments in this transfer period. Not major absents for this game. Kerkyra are first in the table. A team with quality, and good offensive line. As travellers they have record 3-1-2. Full squad for them.
Kerkyra are better team and the favourites in this game. The game is crucial for both teams. A possible rain can affect the game result. Kalamata have scoring problems, so Kerkyra is closer to the win as they have clearly better quality. The oddds for the away win represent value, so my bet will be Kerkyra win, 2.60 at Victor Chandler, stakes 4/10.
Olympiakos Volou - Panahaiki
Volos are below relegation zone and need points badly. They are better at home in front of their fans. A team with fighting spirit lately. In the transfer period they are looking for some signments, already they signed Veletanis (D) from Levadiakos. For this game they will miss regular Milovanovic (D) that will probably leave the team. Panahaiki are also in relegation danger. In this transfer period they are looking for some signments. They already signed Nasiopoulos an ex Panathinaikos player. Also many players left the team, among them regulars Iakovou, Gitsis, Sfakianakis, Tatsis. A team with good defense, but scoring problems, especially now that many forwards left.
A must win for Volos. They show fighting spirit in front of their fans. Panahaiki will play for the draw, and a possible rainfall can help them. Still the situation in the team is complicated, and they are a bit unpredictable right now. I will give Volos an edge as in the previous game at home vs Ilisiakos showed they can win games like that. My bet will be Olympiakos Volou home win, 1.75 at Gamebookers, stakes 4/10.
I consider the games Ilisiakos - Ethnikos Asteras and Proodeftiki - Kastoria as no bets, so I will not give any picks there.

Ionikos - Olympiakos 0-1
Kallithea - Iraklis 0-0
Atromitos - Akratitos 2-0
Levadiakos - OFI 1-0
In B Ethniki
Kalamata - Kerkyra 0-2
Ergotelis - Veria 0-0
Aris - Haidari 0-0
Ilysiakos - Ethnikos Asteras 0-2
Proodeftiki - Kastoria 2-1
Olympiakos Volou - Panahaiki 3-1
A draw ar Xanthi where the AEK winning streak stopped. A rather mediocre game, Xanthi was the better side but didn't manage to score. A diificult win for Olympiakos at Nikea with a late goal. They are now winter champions in the League. They retained their good tradition vs Ionikos, also they remain without a draw so far in the League. Important win for Levadiakos. Atromitos took an important and deserved win. Scoreless draw at Kallithea and the home side are in big relegation danger.
In B Ethniki, important win for Kerkyra that remained first in the table. Kalamata have complaints from the ref. Ergotelis couldn't win Veria, even though the visitors had important absents. Aris dropped valuable points at home vs Haidari. A big game at the local derby of Eastern Athens. Good performance by both teams, Ilysiakos managed to comeback after were down 0-2. Very important win for Volos and now they have hope to avoid relegation. On the contrary Panahaiki surprisingly is in troubles. Difficult but deserved win for Proodeftiki, they won even though Kastoria took the lead. Kastoria surprisingly gets close to relegation zone.
P.S. There was a big earthquake in Southern Greece this afternoon. Fortunatelly with no casualties. Still not the ideal conditions to enjoy football today in Greece.

For the Monday game in A Ethniki
Kalamaria - PAOK
Kalamaria is fighting to avoid relegation this year and they are doing well so far. They are 3 points above relegation zone and with some good performances lately. Before the break they had a difficult loss away vs AEK 2-1, and also a draw away for the Cup at Larisa strong home ground. It must be noted that last year Kalamaria won PAOK at home at the penultimate round and so they avoided relegation. In this game PAOK fans were cheering for Kalamaria goals, in order archrival Aris to be relegated. Full squad for the home side in this game. They will play with 3-4-3 system. A team with good offensive line, also improved defensively lately. PAOK started the season ambitious for a Champions League spot. But now they are 5th and their target is an Uefa Cup spot, they are 1 point above 6th Iraklis. Also they are 2 pointsbehind 4th Xanthi. Before the break they had a home win 2-0 vs OFI, and also an impressive home win vs Rennes for the Uefa Cup. A team with good offensive line. Not as good as travellers, but this game is at Salonica and PAOK fans will be the majority in this game. Its tranfer period in Greece, PAOK is looking for some signments. They signed Arabatzis (M) from Panserraikos. Also Zografakis (M), Andralas (D) left the team not regulars usually. PAOK will have some important absents in this game. Regulars Sikabala (M), Udeze (D), Futsini (M), also Megahed (D) who missed the previous games as well. Low temperatures are predicted with possibilities of rainfall.
PAOK are the favourites in this game. They are better team and also will have the support of many fans. However they have imotant absents, and also Kalamaria is in good form. Probably the last year game can be a factor here in PAOK favour. A possible over given both teams good scoring abilities. Still in case of rainfall this can change. PAOK win with 1 goal difference can be a value bet. The odds for the away wi are lower than expected and don't represent much value, but this is the more possible result.
My bet will be the away win, 1.62 at Paddy Power, stakes 6/10.

For the Monady game in B Ethniki
Niki Volou - Panserraikos
Niki are 6th in the table, 5 points behind 3rd Thrasyvoulos. So the game is a must win for them in their effort for promotion. They are good at home (4-2-0). Before the break they had an impressive win vs Ionikos away 4-1 for the Cup. Anyway in this game Ionikos was not serious for qualification. But striker Saitiotis scored 3 goals confirming his good form. Also they had a loss away from Thrasyvoulos 1-0 for the League in a derby with another promotion challenger. They have a new coach now, is Sifakis an ex OFI player and coach of Ergotelis last year. Niki is a team with good defense and some striker that can score. At home they play more offensively. For this game they will miss regulars Markomihalis (M), Stefanof (M). Panserraikos started the season with many promotion dreams but now they are fighting to avoid relegation. They are 11th, 2 points above relegation zone. They come from an impotant win vs Proodeftiki at home before the break. They are better at home, as travellers their record is 0-3-3 so far. In the transfer period impotant regulars Marcora (F), Arabatzis (M) left the team. For this game they will also miss regulars Vadellanoid (M), Kyrou (D).
Niki are the favourites in this game. They are good at home and also in a must win situation. Panserraikos are weakened so far in the transfer period and have some impotant absents. The game is a possible under as Panserraikos will defend mainly. The odds for the home win are low but not far from fair. My bet will be the home win, 1.60 at Gamebookers, stakes 6/10.

Thanks for that, censor. You've put me off PAOK even though you fancy them to win. Bet365 aren't offering anything other than 1x2 on this and only 1.57 for the away so I'm out of here. :k

I live in Athens, so I don't have exact info for the weather in Salonica. The forecast predicts low temperatures (around 0 C) in Salonica for tonight, and also clouds with some possibilities of light rainfall. Not the ideal conditions for an over, but still as not heavy rainfall predicted, not the weather to bring big obstacles to the teams scoring abilities.

The results
Kalamaria - PAOK 2-2
Niki Volou - Panserraikos 0-1 :unsure
Some surprising results today in Greece. PAOK made important defensive mistakes in the first half, and were down 2-0. In the second half they were pressing but only managed to equalise.
Another surprise at Volos, Niki couldn't win Panserraikos, even with these important absents for the away team. The first away win for Panserraikos this season. Niki missed many chances but Panserraikos scored in a counter. Probably the break influenced them a lot.
As for my picks this weekend, in A Ethniki stakes placed 31 returned 32.5 plus a won bet on Panathinaikos in a good combo.
In B Ethniki, not a good start of he year, stakes placed 20, returned 17.4 plus a lost bet on Thrasyvoulos in an accumulator.
