Marrienham to beat Tampere (3.65) (29th May)

Marrienham is a newly promoted club based on an island of the coast of Finland which means visiting sides have a boat ride for their away games. They currently lie 3rd after 5 games probably a false position as they have played two of the bottom teams in their first two home games (both wins) and their other away win was against newly promoted TP-47 but bar an away day thrashing at Turku their W3 D1 L1 is a good start to a campaign. The visitors Tampere are top of the League and are traditionally one of the stronger sides in Finland. I think there is some value with Marrieham for a number of reasons. Firstly Tampere suffered a 3-0 away loss at and their away win was a narrow 1-0. Secondly the inherent difficulties of such an away trip to my mind will add an additional layer of difficulty to any trip. Finally the price is nice. The best bookies price with a big player is 3.00. The liquidity is small but if you put up a price someone will bite. Small stakes value bet

Lahti vs Koo-Tee Pee

This is a game that if the early season form of the home side holds looks likely to feature goals. Lahti one of the pre season favourites have started badly losing all 3 away and shipping 8 goals. At home they’ve scored 9 but conceded 4 in one of those 3 games. KTP conceded 2 away in their only away game and 3 of their 5 have gone over.

ROPS vs TP47

Both these teams were promoted in 2003 and both have struggled since with ROPS just above the drop zone last year and last after 5 games this season with two draws. TP47 are a only a point above them with a single win (away at in form KTP). I’m backing them today value wise however as they have an excellent record vs ROPS winning 5 of the last 7 and drawing the other two going back to 2002.

Nice stuff CJ. I had read the Inside Edge article about Mariehamn at home so I will go for a small lay of Tampere today at 2.32.

The overs in the Lahti game looks a decent spot as well.

Well someone's going to get a wiiner from the Tampere game today . I've backed Tampere to win medium stakes. I do agree with what's being said about the home side, they will take points of quite a few teams. However, IFK have considerable injury problems for this match. The Finnish chaps over at BA see the value in Tampere here and I'm confident enough to back that up with my own money.
