The second leg of this semi-final finds Brugges holding a slender 1 nil lead over Lierse. So what are the odds...
Ladbrokes have the following: 1 4.33 X 3.40 2 1.67
Technically Brugges don't need to win this game as a draw will also see them progress to the final. I still fancy them to get the victory though and will be having a nibble on the away win with small stakes.
Lierse haven't had much to play for in the league recently, and it's shown. Their form is abysmal, just 3 points gained from the last 5 matches. They can be a tricky proposition in their own ground as they've managed home draws with both Standard Liege and Anderlecht. However Brugges visited Lierse on league business in February and they won 2-0.
Brugges let a lot of people down on Friday drawing 0-0 with relegation candidates Mons. By all accounts Brugges dominated that game and just couldn't convert their goal scoring chances. I don't think the top scoring team in the league will have a repeat perfomance tonight.
So small/medium stakes on the away win for me.
I'll be checking
