No prices out yet but im getting into the Western League. Theres been 6 games played so far and could be worth a look into.

I could be interested in Sorrento to beat Bayswater who were poor v W Kinights on saturday i belive. Sorrento put 5 past Armdale and ive read that Bayswater have had trouble dealing with Sorrento's height up front before even though they won. Im hoping the bookies go daft on the away and we could get 2/1+.

We;ve got till Friday evening but im gonna get started in all this when the odds are out hopefully later today

Bayswater City 1 vs Perth SC 4

Perth just are to class for us they have to many good players around the park

They scored after 15 seconds through Rob Puca, bayswater then played well for the rest of the half and the game was even.

In the second half karpeh came off for o'neill and it was hard for luke playing on the 7 foot defenders.

Perth then went 2-0 up when Oliveira headed down a corner to onoforo and he tapped the ball home.

Daniel Naumovski then came on and headed a goal to give Bayswater some hope.

Perth then killed the game at the end with David Micevski and Andreas Oliveira netting home

simply they were too good. They have oo many really good players and they each do their job and don't expect others to carry them. I felt that they scored because of our fundamental errors, we gave them too much space & didn't play in position at times. Perth capitalised on our mistakes, we gave them three goals because of that, the fourth was created. On a positive note we played with intensity at controlled large periods of the game. Daniel Naumovski's header was brilliant! He inspired the team and we did look like we were going to equalise. Very healthy crowd as always the derby is alive and well!

i aint so sure but will keep plugging on.


knights 2- swan -1

swans battled hard and could have come away with a draw.
cory made some crucial saves in the first half and swans missed a few chances aswell. but didnt really test tomich.
and mate the goal didnt come out of my arse. and mik yes i did mean to shoot i was aiming for the far post and lucky enough it dropped in..
second half swan had more possesion and deserved there equaliser but it was lucky to be an equaliser as i missed an easy chance that hit the post and straight away you went up the other end and scored. a good goal by justin (considering he was being sick just before the kick off for second half)
and then our second goal had a bit of luck to it as i waited too long on the ball and d scali slid in and knocked it past cory. class finish.. unlucky to swannies as they battled hard and played well but some tough times ahead for knights. that was one of the worst performances by our side in a long time. and very annoying after two very good performances agaisnt perth and sorrento.

Yeh, i think Knights were a bit lucky to get max points, but good sides manage to do this when not playing well, and great goals by Monty, tho it looked from the side like you put the second one in. Dont agree with the tough times ahead comment - Leon Russell is getting match fitness and will be in peak form soon, Doug Ithier did well when he came on and will be looking for a spot in starting 11, the main man Daniel Trim will be back soon and leading the midfield, plus the boys who have been suspended and Evan Wallace to force pressure on the coaches for a spot. Just need to be a bit quicker and more creative in midfield to give you and Johnny a few more opportunities up front, and the goals will flow (hopefully ). the defence is very strong and tom is in great form. Just need to get the overall balance right.

armadale v sorrento 2-5

right start for the dale ...goal after 6 minutes.......sorrento pulling it back on the half hour ......sorrento having the best first half chances....HT1-1,it didn't take to long and the away team went into a 2-1 lead....then 3-1....by this time sorrento was controling the game as the game went into the last 10 minutes the dale pulled one back....but the excitment was short lived....as sorrento scored 2 more goals...against what now looked a really tired defence..final result 5-2 to sorrento..

excellant sum up of the game ispy. sorrento have their game plan down pat. everyone knows how they play but stopping them is bloody hard

I think the scoreline flattered Sorrento. They are a big strong side and they are very hard to contain. You would hate to play in the middle of the park for them though Can't believe Glen Thomas was on the bench.

you dont need 7ft defenders or strikers to compete with sorrento. you just have to know how to deal with there style of play. at knights we dont have big defenders or strikers and we managed to beat them. althought it was a hard thing to do.

i cant beleive thommo was on the bench either. would walk into every other 1st team around..

and did jake harman play for sorrento this week after his transfer from inglewood late last week.

cockburn def floreat 4-2

good game to watch both teams played some good football floreat where up 2-0 but didnt take there chances and cockburn took theres therefore deserved the win

Ok we've a few pals over on a Western soccer forum and im hoping to work with them to get some nice wee returns going in in the summer. Ive even started looking and here's my first wee feel for the week. Need to look into it more and pick the Bayswater boys forum a bit.

Initially im interested in Cockburn. I read they and Floreta were in the in-form teams when they met last week. Need to read the report but the 4-2 scoreline looks good on paper so far. With Stirling picking up their first win of the season v Joondalup last week surely the in-form Cockburn is worth a look?

Just reading that Joondalup had a load of players out for that game v Stirling last weekend. Could be interesting.

I aint so keen on taking Cockburn this week as i was. Just been speaking to the manager of Joondalup () and his info makes me have to go back to the drawing board on this one.

Mate, I am the manager of ECU Joondalup and before last week we should of been sitting with won4 drawn 1 lost 0 instead we were 1 - 3 - . We have played excellent football and just failed to hit the back of the net. We are suffering at the moment cos two weeks ago we were 3-0 up against Swan and in the space of 10 minutes had 4 sent off. We played out the last 20 minutes of the game with 7 men and held on to win 3-1.

The players who we have missing are. Steve Porter (Ex Liverpool Reserves), Keith Brown (ex Blackburn Reserves and Berwick Rangers), Jamie Kuzmanovich State Defender, dale McCulloch (Club Captain Sate midfielder. So you see you take 4 players like this out and you struggle. We have a tribunal tonight to see if we have the lads back for this weekend. So fingers crossed.

Ive been reading up quite a bit on this Western Premier due to TDP being down. Ive been asking Geordie to fill in the gaps for us all and he and all the Aussie boys are doing their utmost for us. Great wee forum too.

2 strongest sides are Perth and possibly Sorrento. We got beat off Perth 2-1 and should of had a draw and we drew with Sorrento having battered them for 75% of the game. Our problem is we have a squad of 13 first team players, when you loose 1 or 2 you can still battle on but when there are 5 out you struggle like hell. Perth have a massive squad very good footballing team but dont like to mix it. Sorrento are the biggest side in height they usually play 3 up front 6'4" 6'2" and 6'8" they dont play through the middle and launch it from anywhere into the mixer.
I tried to het on your dailypunt site and it wont load.

again invaluable information straight from the horses mouth. If you think you get stick on this board then you should try posting as a manager on a rivals forum on a daily basis. Even the fans start giving you a hard time so thanks again Geordie.

Another poster who liked a punt offerered us this point of view-

i get my prices through betandwin and i tend to find some teams overpriced. perth will not lose this week against the bottom team in fremantle. cockburn is also a good bet as they played my team (floreat) and came back from 2-0 to win 4-2. they get back 3 of their best players this week and joondalup still have senior players out. at odds of 2.90 its a good bet.

I dont think i'll be touching it.

I actually think Sorrento could be a bit short. I don't think Baywater have the strength and depth nor the players to deal with the aerial attack of Sorrento. Bayswater are ok across the middle and i think they'll play and be happy with a point.

Perth and Inglewood look nailed on for a wee double just below evens. whilst Inglewood are favs with some to be Perths closest rivals and Freemantle are in total free-fall. Inglewood aint been converting their chances v the better teams and not winning games as they could/should but i think they'll have a field day v Freemantle and i reckon theyll win by 3 clear goals.

Perth are hot hot favs for the league. I think they're players are considered a cut above the other teams and this could possibly be to do with money. I never knew that most aussie teams are affiliated or even named after other clubs and countries. theres a croatian team etc.

Nice work Komp, Im gonna be tied up tomorrow and hung over to hell on Thursday so I am going to devote some of my time tonight (all neet) and have a look into it myself. Think this Aussie footy is definitely the way forward for the summer months. 2nd week in August cant come too soon!!!!

Im gonna just look at the Western Leagues. Mick says he'll tackle the Victorian Leagues. Bloody biggest after eventer ever. Still saying he picked the winner in the first ever FA cup final.

Just starting to look at the Western div 1. Just read this on Mandurah's last game away at Stirling a game they were expected to win-

The Suns went 1-0 up with their first shot on goal in the first 15 minutes even though Mandurah dominated. Mandurah then equalised with a minute to go to half time via a corner. Then the Suns scored from a penalty in injury time in the first half. Have no idea how the 2nd half went as I went down to watch the rest of Wanneroo vs Olympic.

something to start with. I think Mandurah are one of the better teams and could be well fancied for the league. I aint even seen a league table so i wouldnt even know. their 10/11 at home this weekend so im gonna look more.

Benedict, I agree. That's two weeks in a row Mandurah have played poor side........sides they are expected to beat, and have come unstuck

Benedict's a big Glasgow Rangers fan btw.

Looks like Mandurah might have manager problems are aint getting the reults their used to. Mid-table with them expected to pick up as the season goes on. Seems they might be playing well enough just not creating the chances. Looks like their one of the 2 semi-pro teams in the league too.

Looks like Wanneroo are the hot favs for the league and are a cut above. I could be wrong but we'll find out in time no doubt.
