Re: Swedish Weekend Football

I miss the randy scandi thread .. ?? Where is it?

Whatever I post a bit of Supperettan here..

Falkenbergs - GAIS Gothenborg

Last Matches of Falkenberg at home:

Orebro 2-1 W
Mjallby 2-2 D
Brommpajkarna 4-2 W
Norrkoping 1-1 D
Degerfors 0-1 L

L5: 2-2-1
o/u:3/2

Last Matches of GAIS away:

Advitabergs 2-0 L
Bodens 2-1 L
Ljungskille SK 1-1 D
Brommpajkarna 2-0 L
Norkopping 1-2 W

L5: 1-1-3
o/u: 2/3

The whole o/u:
__________________over_______________under
Falkenberg_________11__________________12
GAIS ______________13_________________10

Both teams collect the most points at home. GAIS isn´t a away team,so I don´t punt on the 3rd in Ladder away versus Falkenberg.

My Punt:
..will be an over 2,5 goals between these both teams

Re: Swedish Weekend Football

The Allsvenskan is warming up with 5 games left to play and Monday night's programme will probably seal the fate of at least one club if results go against.

Sundsvall-IFK Gøteborg
My favourite Swedish side with a defence that has allowed 11 goals in 20 games and 3 in the last 12, IFK will be looking for all 3 points at Sundsvall to keep pressure up on table leaders Djurgården who they'll meet next week in the match that will go a long way to deciding the Swedish title.
Course, a loss for the home side will probably send them down to the Superettan and therefore their motivation won't be in doubt here.
Even so, the better than evens for IFK bemuses me slightly and team news tomorrow might make things clearer.

Perhaps the biggest game of the round will be Djurgården-Malmø.
The away side will play UEFA cup in Turkey on Thursday but a win here will throw the title race wide open. Hard to see where priorities will lie here. Will they spread themselves too thinly? My best guess is that they'll decide there's more on offer at home and make this game very difficult to call but perhaps the Besiktas match easier?

Re: Swedish Weekend Football

Peter,.. we know the combination first versus last away... that could be combination of many surprises IMO.

I looked to the odds for over and under (1,85 at bAW for both ).
Sundsvall shoot 5 goals at home versus Foreningen and received 6 goals versus Malmo and 6 versus Halmstad thats a lot in the last 3 rounds. IFK shoot in the last 6 only in one round no goal (versus Kalmar) do you agree with me,if I´m saying thats a good over-punt peter?#
What says the squads and the injury lists of the teams?

Re: Swedish Weekend Football

Sundsvall-IFK will be a nervy affair, I would think, Gerry, but in any event IFK do just enough to win games: tight at the back and a goal (or two) at the other end.
There's not much team news yet but I'll post it when it appears.

Re: Swedish Weekend Football

cheers Peter and Rene. Does anyone have any views on the Djurgarden v Malmo game? Malmo have done me a few favours this season. Ladbrokes dont have an over goals bet available to me. Thats what i was interested in. Havent Malmo's games generally ended over?

Re: Swedish Weekend Football

Not really komp.

The last 6 matches of Malmo:
Malmo - Sundsvall 6-2
Orgyte - Malmo 1-1
Malmo - Foreningen 2-2
Kalmar - Malmo 0-2
Malmo - Elfsborg 1-1
Hackens BK - Malmo 1-0

The ladder:

A clear nobet match for me! Both teams have a good performance in the last 10 rounds. Djurgardens transfered Soren Larson the best forward IMO to Schalke and after that they shoot not so many goals in the Allsvenskan.
Malmo shoot only versus "bad" teams a lot goals, versus Kalmar ,Orgryte and Hacken BK aren´t they shoot not more than 2 goals! ...

first Impression: under and X(/1)

Re: Swedish Weekend Football

Orgryte v Hammarby i aint interested in. I liked the away initially, then the home. Should just leave it unless instructed otherwise. Im gonna try get some Swedes in aye thats a good idea. Hard though as they dont listen

Im quite tempted to chance Gefle's recent away record but know nothing about what happened in them games.

Halmstad BK Gefle Gavle IF 1:4
Sundsvall GIF Gefle Gavle IF 2:2
Landskrona BoIS Gefle Gavle IF 0:1
Goteborg IFK Gefle Gavle IF 0:1
Hammarby IF FF Gefle Gavle IF 0:1

A win in Gothenburg too. You aint a fan of gothenburg are you Peter?

I noticed Djgarden won in Malmo when Malmo was odds on at home

Malmo FF Djurgardens Stockholm IF

Re: Swedish Weekend Football

Two matches that will go a long way to deciding what happens in top and bottom of the Allsvenskan.
Djurgården-Malmø
Sundsvall-IFK

Malmø will be the second best side here on paper. However, there's a huge amount at stake and since it's the live game tonight, might be best to hold off...

The reason IFK are 2,10 at Sundsvall is also connected to the importance for both teams. Add to that the fact that Gøteborg have had a habit of falling down at the final hurdle in the past.
However, the argument for the away win is that the side has made successful transitions this season that could break the old patterns including a step up for home grown players but mostly, I think, because they've been well coached.
The IFK defensive record speaks for itself and Sundsvall will have to break a back line that's conceded 6 goals in 10 away games (3 of those at Hacken in June) though it must be said they have had some decent results against the top sides at home and I'll probably leave this one alone.

Re: Swedish Weekend Football

I am fairly confident that IFK Goteborg can win this match today away at struggling Sundsvall. Odds of around 2.10ish available

This is a huge game for both sides as IFK go for the title and Sundsvall battle against relegation.

There is extra motivation here for IFK in that near challengers Djurgardens play Malmo. IFK’s next two games are against these two sides. I will be going to the Malmo game on the 26th September so I hope IFK continue their winning run to then.

Anyway, Sundsvall have been less than impressive in the league this season. They had a vital 5-0 win at home to relegations rivals Assyriska but apart from that they have had no clean sheets in previous 5 home matches.

Contrast this with IFK who have won their last 4 away games in a row conceding only 1 goal! With 5 wins in 6 also in the league IFK should deal with this Sundsvall side who have lost 6-2 to Malmo, 6-0 to Halmstads and 4-0 to Djurgadens and have only 1 win in 12 games.
