AC Milan v Liverpool 25th May
I had to look twice - Liverpool @ 4.00 (paddy power)
Why? What am I missing? As I've posted before, Milan looked to me, in two games against Celtic, to be utterly, utterly average. Liverpool are average too, I accept that but....... 3/1? Liverpool have proved they can keep things tight as hell at the back and are obviously capable of nicking a goal...... I really feel the need to get on that 3/1. It's just wrong imo.

Re: AC Milan v Liverpool 25th May
Not mad - i agree, Milan have fallen off from being that great team that dumped out Man Utd. Whats happened to them im not quite sure, personel is still the same. Liverpool will love the fact they are going into this game as underdogs and will feel less pressure on them.
Gerrard and Alonso look good together - Cisse is slowly coming back to be the striker he once was. Its all looking up for Liverpool in my opinion. Although id be weary as id be interested to see what sort of approach Liverpool bring to this game.

If you're mad, so am I. I'll invest some at that price. Cisse looks to have discovered great form and I think will cause Milan a lot of trouble at back. Having beaten Juve and Chelsea in the last two rounds, I'd have thought they'd be a bit shorter .GIF)

Re: AC Milan v Liverpool 25th May
Even before they played Man Utd Kiko, I thought Celtic made them look like Dunfermline at times in their two games and should never have lost the away match (sooooo careless). I honestly thought Man Utd would deal with them pretty comfortably but it wasn't to be (I didn't see the Man Utd games btw and would welcome any info at all on how Milan looked).
I reckon Liverpool have a great chance here, I really do. I'm getting behind them 100% in fact. I'm gonna shout myself hoarse when I watch the match in the pub.

Re: AC Milan v Liverpool 25th May
Dunno like - after I read the report about Milan fielding a reserve team on Friday nigt (drew 3-3) which handed the league to Juventus I think Milan had obviously given up on the league and want to piss all over Liverpool.
Everytime I've backed Liverpool they've lost and everytime I've backed against them the feckers have won.
I personnally cannot see Liverpool winning the trophy in 90 mins - OK they have been a very very hard team to break down but Milan for me. (although probably NO bet going on past record)

Re: AC Milan v Liverpool 25th May
Well, its the Pool all the way for me.
They have had a poor Premiership campaign, but as we all know domestic form counts for naff all in this game. Liverpool have beaten the Champions of Italy & England and they hammered Leverkusen who earlier in the competition hammered Madrid 3-0.
Liverpool have consistantly been priced badly IMO. They were 33's in January when drawn against Leverkusen. IMO, they were a guaranteed ticket to the quarter final at least and I cant see how they were 33's and above.
Milan's defence have a combined age of 141... Maldini was a class player, Costacurta was a class player, Cafu was a class player. PSV showed what can be dont if you dont buy the nonsense and the mystique that comes with Italian teams. No nonsense, up and at them football will do the job. If you fanny about and give them too much respect then they will shaft you 1-0. PSV were robbed IMO and should have drawn or won in the San Siro. They didnt and Liverpool will have to be wary of Sheva of course, but the icing on the cake for Carragher this season can be to shut out one of Europe's best strikers for 90 minutes. I think he has a winning mentality, his confidence will never have been higher and I believe he will do the job and make Shevchenko look average.
Benitez is a thinker. He will have planned for every eventuality and will have been running through set piece line ups, outcomes and scenarios all week in training. The rest will have done the players a world of good. Milan have passed 5'000 tickets to Liverpool to sell (dunno if they couldnt sell them all themselves), Istanbul will be a sea of red and they will have the bottle on the night to see them off.
Liverpool all the way, Carra FGS because I would love it for him, 2-0 and the scorecast

Agree with you Mickey and anyone reaching the final beating Juve -champions of Italy and Chelsea- champions of England and still 3/1 and playing well in the Champions league are well worth a bet at that price.IMO this price will drop.
Cheers and good luck to all.

Re: AC Milan v Liverpool 25th May
I presume this match is expected to be played quite "cagey" and have few goals. Over 2.5 at 2.66 on betfair is a big price. If somebody gets one well....at some point the other team will have to go hell for leather to equalise and a few goals may result. It will probably all depend on whether this happens or not. I might try a little bet on the over. I would much rather that than be backing under at 1.59 anyway

I agree with both Mickey and Alien's value picks, both prices are too large in my opinion.

Re: AC Milan v Liverpool 25th May
Been thinking about this and i feel its dangerous Liverpool to win in 90 mins. I think just backing them outright to win it is safer as i got screwed by Man Utd yesterday. Really not looking forward to this game though, hope it surprises me as i can see it being a really dull game.

Didn't Alex McLeish say one of his backroom boys had a dream Celtic would lose yesterday in the last 10 minutes of the game? Lump on Komp

Re: AC Milan v Liverpool 25th May
Well if you're talking dreams then at the begining of the season Cisse had one and said he scored the winner in the CL final.
He's not badly priced at 8/1 for 1st and 8/1 for last scorer, he's 5/2 to score anytime which is also not a bad price imo.
It looks like it should be close but with Spanish officials in charge of this game and the Liverpool fans knowing their role (they made the difference against Chelsea) i'd say the 4.00 at PP's is value.
