Poland Poland 5-7 Mar

First game today: Korona - Polonia

So many picks around on Korona, there are some arguments behind it, not so bad at home and after a win last round over supposedly stronger Jagiellonia. But I can spot overexcitment just like many had on Odra last time.

Korona begins to be a public bet today seeing odds going down. Polonia though should not be underestimated, they missed in winter break their best defensive midfielder but the sub they brought instead, became their best player of last league game. He should work well. On wings they can be dangerous on counters. Do not like Korona personally, one win for me is not enough to be so confident about them.

I have problems backing Polonia either so suggest either value shot on Korona to win by exackly one goal, or leave the game alone.

Poland 7 March Poland, Unibet I Liga Polska

LKS Lodz - Widzew Lodz

LKS is under administration and in winter break they wasted one month of preparations and didn't train because of mess inside the club. They cannot be prepared well for season. Many players don't want to play in LKS so they bought oldboys like Jackiewicz and Swierczewski. In test games they achieve poor results. There was even not sure if they play in spring round. On the other side is prepared normal and have the best squad in 1st league.

pick:
Widzew Lodz (DNB) 1.80 sportingbet 10/10

Poland 7 March 13:45 UKT Polish 1st league

Piast - Belchatow

The best bet of the round so I will take this odds because they will drop for sure. The game will be played in Wodzislaw so this is neutral ground! In first spring game we have seen GKS as this team which is in big form. Nowak, Małkowski, Cetnarski, Ujek delirious on the field playing with big ambition and pressure. Coach Ulatowski prepare well his players and the team should get lot of points this spring. GKS won with Wisla 1:0 and now the champions race starting once again. From the other side we have Piast which draw 1:1 away in Lubin and all team was happy from this result. Well everybody would be happay if you play crap without shot on goal and then suddenly first action in 72 minutes and you equalize. Piast have 2 new players Zganiacz and Paluchowski but both didn't change much the way of play this midicore team. I believe here we have one favourite which is Belchatow. The worst what can happen is draw but as the asian is nice 0 we are not risking too much so the high stake here.

pick:
Belchatow +0 1.78 188bet 10/10

Good luck $olvent. Don't think there's any need for a separate thread for each game, so I've merged the two threads

Lechia Gdansk - Polonia Warszaw

In the last match Polonia lost 0:3 to Lech Poznan, but statistics are saying that this match was aligned and result largely depend on luck. Lechia played in the worst match 18 round against Odra, 0:0 and very bad game. Lechia will miss two important players: Buzała and Nowak. Polonia coach can't count on Koziol only, the rest is available. I think Polonia is better side here and for me is big value.

Polonia Warszaw DNB (5/10) - 2.31

Re: Poland 5-7 Mar

I can easily agree with the post above, problem though with Polonia is that they lack a good forward and game with Lech sadly proved it. Even game, but no fire power, will not be easy in Gdansk. Still good luck.

Wisla Plock - Gornik Leczna 2 @2.60 Unibet

I am on Leczna here. In theory both teams were supposed to fight for better positions, even promotion, however in Plock they say so for a long time already and it sucks there anyway. They have some players with names but it does not work out for them. Last training game before the season they lost 0-1 to Znicz, team in relegation zone (still better than red zone) and they lost it shamefuly. Maybe not outplayed, as in this poor league this kind of word is to big, but Znicz was way better. Last game before season and such poor form can worry, tactics of coach Zlomanczuk ara surprising as well, playing forward in defense, to much stress on defensive itself. Anyway it is more like a bet on Leczna, than against Wisla. Visitors are much better side than table says, they strenghten at the back bringing solid keeper Prusak and cb Bartkowiak, they will look more solid at the back, no doubt and upfront they have serious forward Nakoulma (already big interest in Ekstraklasa clubs). All in all 0 wins on road in first round can worry here, but Wisla was crap as hell on the other hand at home. In my book Leczna after solid prepartion period should have better chance to win here.

Re: Poland 5-7 Mar

First game in Ekstraklasa today Slask vs Jagiellonia

tricky one, odds on Slask rising, I can understand that on this line, but You can not forget Jaga is winless on road for over 2 yers ! 32 road games without a win, this is a pure joke. Last round the lost on road to Korona who imo is weaker side than Slask. Still hosts missing suspended two defensive midfielders, might be some trouble. Hard call here. Do not think Slask looses the game, but draw can not be excluded. Again if I was to suggest anything, that would be a small shot on Slask to win by exackly one goal.

Lech Poznan - Cracovia Krakow

Just wanted to warn all Lech backers that the pitch in Poznan will be awful. Hosts coach said it is even worse than the one in Warszawa they played last round. If that is true, it will look bad. Lech of course way better team and any result other than win would be a surprise but odds are not attractive enough considering the conditions.

Re: Poland 5-7 Mar

Pitch bad or not bad, Lech by far the best team at the start of the 2nd round, should be worth to give a shot Lech as league winner. They look extremly impressive upfront, from every side goals coming.

In last game today Ruch - Zaglebie

No interst at all, Ruch is enjoying hell of a season, but because of that odds on them are so low, Zaglebie played a decent game last time and a draw would not surprise. Small shot draw as a value punt, but personally skipping it.

Re: Poland 5-7 Mar

I can only apologize for Leczna bet, terrible first half, not as a team I saw in recent weeks in training games, totally wasted time, 2nd half better but it was already to late. Disappointing defeat here.

GKS Katowice - Górnik Zabrze

Today comes the most anticipated meetings of the 20 round Polish First League. Classic commonly known as the Silesian derby match between 14-fold champion and a team from the Polish capital of Silesia. GieKSa has already carried out in part preseason target, namely to maintain - the team copes well as the serious problems inside the club, so really it is not known whether GKS finish this season. The main problem is the financial sphere, the club is still looking for a strategic sponsor, to help patch the hole in the budget, but as it turns out to be an extremely hard, because, despite excellent results and the ambitions of players is not willing. In turn, Zabrze do not have to complain about money because they have enough, but worse is the results. The club set a clear goal for the season 2009/2010 - promotion to the Ekstraklasa, Górnik is now in 6th place in the loss of 10 points to the leader and 5 points to the second largest. Win in today's game would allow miners to come closer to the top 3 teams on a small number of points. Guests here are the favorite, the team has changed a bit, with a job coach release Komornicki, and its place substituted Nawałka who brought GieKSa in the autumn round of the relegation zone and provided a clear advantage over teams from the bottom of the table. Górnik have joined the ranks of the few players: Gajewski, Wodecki (Odra), Balat (Zilina), Onions (Cracovia), and Swiatek (ŁKS). As you can see the club is not mad at the transfer market, it seems to me that they are well thought out transfers for very big money, but we'll see at the end of the season. According to me in the spring round will see much better Górnik not losing points for the following quoted rivals, and even militant leader. I do not think GieKSa was able to prevent Górnik towards the end.

Picks: Górnik Zabrze to win (Stake: 7/10) at 1.85 (BetClick) and Górnik Zabrze (-1.5) (Stake: 3/10) at 3.60(BetClick)
