Yet another situation where - on paper - Heracles should wipe the floor with the Go Ahead Eagles.. Heracles are flying high having won their last 5 home games in the Eredivisie, whereas the Eagles in the lower Eerste Divisie although 3rd have floundered a tad recently..

So it begs the proverbial question - how seriously is the Cup taken by the big clubs? 1.52 is a tad short, although I might be tempted by the -1 asian @ 1.9 if it is felt that there is some interest by Heracles in this competition?

I myself have a question, and would like to hear opininons.
What do you think about the tommorows Baronie vs. Sparta Rotterdam match? I know Baronie is an amateur club, and from my (very limited) expirience of these kind of clashes in Netherlands it should be a VERY easy win for Sparta, which is reflected by the odds at 1.40 for an away win.
However, Sparta seems to be absolute shit concerning their recent form.
So, I`m undecided what to take on this one. I still feel that Sparta should win this one, but would really like to hear opinions of people with more insight of Dutch football, and especialy people with experience of betting on this sort of matches.

Results in cup games can be pretty strange.You saw yesterday in Heracles match.About Sparta,they are in first league and quality is on their side.Their recent form isnt good but but they can score goals.Baronie have good results in their league.They are amateurs.
Game will be played on NAC Breda stadium so no real home adventage for Baronie.Quality diffence is big and i dont think Baronie can make surprise here.

Wow, Ajax more than justified those odds. Thrashed WHC 14-1 double hat trick from Saurez too. Always had a soft spot for them. Sadly as this Dutch cup football blog points out their glory days are gone for now. I suppose something like a domestic cup competition can never make up for missing out on the league and Champions league football.
