Re: Spain , Segunda 11th-12th Oct
Starting off with Segunda B group 4, as there are a couple of games there I'm interested and they're the first ones to kick off.
Guadalajara v Portuense 14th v 17th, and I'm siding with the away side in this one. Would prefer to lay Guadalajara, which is what I'm currently attempting on Betfair, but not much liquidity there and may end up just backing the away win instead if I'm still not matched before kick off (which is 5pm Spanish time). Guadalajara won their first game of the season, but since then they've gone 6 without a win, with their home games seeing a loss at home to 2nd placed Jaen and a 0-0 draw with 18th placed Roquetas. They've got injury and suspension problems for this one, with 2 players banned and 2 certainly out injured, plus another doubtful (but expected to be able to play). Can't claim to know too much about the missing players, but the report on last week's match on their official website said that the sending off of Jorge Garcia (one of this week's suspended players) and the injury to Cuesta (the doubtful player) left them without the 2 "brains" of the team in the centre of midfield. What's more, the manager after the game claimed the team was too reliant on Cuesta. Latest news in a local paper says Cuesta is doubtful, according to a forum they reckon he'll play, but whether he'll be 100% is another matter. Portuense also without a couple of first team players, Carrasco and Abel. Stats only seem to cover 5 games, when they've played 7, but Abel was ever present for the first 5 games, Carrasco played a part in all 5 of them. Portuense are yet to win this season, but after losing 3 of their first 4 games, they've drawn their last 3, and bearing in mind they included games at home to Ejido (4th) and away to Jaen (2nd now, but IIRC they were top at the time), there are definite signs of improvement. Either a lay of Guadalajara, then, or back Portuense, depending on whether I get matched. Back with more in a bit |

Re: Spain , Segunda 11th-12th Oct
Still in Segunda B group 4:
Marbella v Linares over 2.5 @ 2.1 (Sporting Odds) 3pts Over 3.5 @ 4.0 1pt Went with the overs on the Linares game last week, and will do so again today, as I really can't see why Sporting Odds keep pricing this at odds against. Linares are conceding at an average of 3 goals a game, never mind taking into account the goals they're scoring at the other end too. Their last 4 games have seen them concede 3, 3, 4 and 5, while also scoring 7 themselves (5 of them in one game, in a 5-4 win). Marbella's first 5 games produced just 6 goals, but since then their last two have been a 2-2 draw and a 3-3 draw. The last 6 H2H meetings in Marbella have produced either 3 or 4 goals. Sorry it's a bit late, meant to post about half hour ago until baby was sick, but kick off is in around 25 mins |

From that point on the result was surely a foregone conclusion. Guadalajara 1-3 Portuense, and after all that write-up, all I've got to show for it is 0.55€ profit ![]() Needless to say, I did manage to get on the overs in Marbella v Linares, and it finished 1-1, so it was fortunate for you in the end, El Nihil |

Re: Spain , Segunda 11th-12th Oct
Two for tomorrow:
Segunda B group 2: Leganes v Murcia B @ 3.64 1.5pts 6th v 2nd, Murcia B are unbeaten this season, Leganes have only lost once. However, although unbeaten at home, Leganes' results haven't been all that impressive. A win against a poor Pajara PJ side (bottom of league), and draws with Sangonera (4th, but arguably over-achieving) and Lanzarote (18th). Murcia B in their away games have managed draws with Madrid B (top) and Aguilas (10th), and beat Merida (11th). As far as I can find out, no important absences for Murcia, in which case I think the price on them is a touch on the large side. Group 4: Jaen v San Fernando over 2.5 goals @ 2.3 1.5pts Going to take this based on San Fernando's record this season - 17 scored and 14 conceded in just 7 games so far. They've scored in every game, they've conceded in every game bar 1. Jaen's defence is the best in the division, just 4 conceded, but up against an attack like San Fernando's they'll have their work cut out to keep a clean sheet. Worth a go based purely on San Fernando's stats. |

Re: Spain , Segunda 11th-12th Oct
No time for any half-decent write-up, but a couple of prices that look too big to me
Segunda B group 2: Fuerteventura v Alcorcon @ 3.8 (Sporting Odds) 1.5pts Alcorcon's only away defeat a narrow 1-0 to 2nd placed Murcia B, the other 2 have been draws. However, Fuerteventura's home record so far is poor - a 1-0 win against the team in 17th, and defeats to the teams in 12th and 15th. Group 4: Betis v Puertollano @ 3.95 (Betfair) 1.5pts 5th v 3rd, and Puertollano have already claimed away wins to 2 top 10 sides this season in Ceuta and Melilla. Betis B have a 100% home record this season, but of the teams they've beaten, only San Fernando are in the top half. Too big a price IMO. |

Re: Spain , Segunda 11th-12th Oct
Today going badly
Alcorcon could only draw, Puertollano lost 2-1, and Murcia B are 2-0 down to a goal that was clearly offside and a second after terrible defending.
