On first glance Drogheda, Cork and St Pat's take my eye. Possibly Limerick in the first division. Fingal have been super at home but i rate Longford highly as a decent outfit and could be tempted by them

That's what is so called "cash machine" strategy Cinny -> I agree although I haven't check the team news yet - the champs should make some profit after the season is over if we keep taking them regularly

I also like Waterford -1AH in 1st division.

Re: 9-10 May: Rep Ireland

I've a few fancies tonight...6 infact.

Drogheda @ Evns - cant afford to drop any points as st pats look likely to grab another 3. Over the past few weeks the Drogs have picked up in form including a 3-0 win away to Shelbourne in the League cup midweek. They've won their last two league games as well including one away to one of the leagues best sides Cork City. Bray to their credit have improved as well and will provide stern opposition but i think Drogheda will prevail in the end.

St Pat's @ 2/5 - This should be a straight forward affair for the league leaders. Pat's have been impressive in the league to date winning 8/9 games so far this term. St Pat's were also beat away to UCD in the league cup and will be keen for revenge. last weeks 3-2 win against Cork was a terriffic one.

Cork @ 4/6 - Once again like Drogheda Cork can't afford any slip-ups, they have also steadily improved from the numerous draws they picked up at the start of the season and were unlucky maybe not to take a point away at St Pat's last sunday equalising in the 87th minute only to concede a minute later.

On to the 1st division.....

Waterford @ 8/15 - Should get the job done against a wexford side who have only won once from 4 attempts on their travels. Waterford hit 5 against Monaghan last Friday and have the best home record in the league gaining 13 out of the 15 points available.

Limerick @ 8/11 - Limerick have won 2/4 of their home games to date and lost only to the 2 league leaders in Dundalk and Shelbourne meanwhile Monaghan have lost every game away from home, 4/4 and havent even scored a goal!! Take into aaccount their 5 nil thrashing last week at Waterford and Limerick go into this game strong favourites. Also a very long journey for the men from Monaghan down to Limerick.

Longford +1 @ 8/13 - I rate Longford one of the better teams in the league and im going to stick my head out with this selection. Fingal have been great at home but last seasons cup finalists and relegated side i think are capable of atleast grabbing a point against the league newcomers.

Drogheda
Cork ---- a treble
St Pats

Longford +1
Limerick ----- a treble
Waterford

a 6 timer on all 6 selections

Good Luck all and hopefully a profitable night!

Re: 9-10 May: Rep Ireland

Cobh V Bohemians @10/11: This is my main bet of the night. According to match reports Bohs weren't great against UCD last week but at least Neal Fenn was back in action and by all accounts he played well. And don't forget this is the same Bohs team that have won their last 2 away games against the Champs Drogheda and bitter rivals Shamrock Rovers.

Cobh had a good win against Rovers last month but since then have lost 3 on the trot and also failed to score in any of those games. Cummings is suspended for them tonight which will be a big loss.

St Pats(-1) V UCD @6/5: Bit of a risky one here as UCD tend to do well against Pats but Pats are Pats and are well capable of winning this at a canter. The last league game between the teams ended up 3-0 to Pats and that was in UCD. More of the same tonight please.

Kildare V Athlone @11/10: The way Athlone are playing at the moment means they should be opposed every week. They've been awful and their manager Dermot Lennon is in danger of getting the old heave ho if they lose again tonight. Kildare are no great shakes themselves as was seen when they got pasted 6-0 at Dundalk but at least they showed a bit of heart in their following game by thumping Monaghan 4-0.

Verdict:
Bohs @10/11
St Pats(-1) @6/5
Kildare @11/10

Re: 9-10 May: Rep Ireland

1 more from me this evening.

Galway V Finn Harps Under 1.5 goals @13/8: Jeff Kenna has tightened up the Galway deefence since he took over 3 games ago which has resulted in 2 clean sheets in a row. That combined with Finn Harps tendency to keep things extremely tight away from home means I can't see there being too many goals in Terryland this evening.

Verdict: Under 1.5 Goals @13/8

Chieff77, surprised you are not going for Cork when Sligo have so many injuries tonight... What is your opinions about those players missing for Sligo? and players coming back for Cork...

I am considering to take Cork on -1AH

thanks

Re: 9-10 May: Rep Ireland

Was one of my favourite leagues last year; this week seems odds for home teams a bit low; About Galway match I think the new coach factor exaggareted a bit; Yep their performance got better, but might take more time to adopt it to the results; They were not favourite in the matches they showed better play; Now they're plaiying against a team who will come here as non-favourite and to defend...With a good hth also..
About Cork I am not convinced about their middle-field and forward harmony; Tough they seemd to solve the problem finding the nets against hard-depending teams this can be one of that clashes which they struggle to open the solid defences like in the beginning of the season...Below are the draws for me..

Bray Wanderers - Drogheda United: 1X2 X 3,20 -
Cork City - Sligo Rovers: 1X2 X 3,55 -
Galway United - Finn Harps: 1X2 X 3,25
-

About St. PAtricks they seem to have a more defending approach comparing to last season and after some early goals recieved in the matches at the beginnings of the season coach decided to have a more careful approach; Hope late goals here against a solid young team performing good at when playing against top teams...Derry's results a bit dodgy late but still better team than Rovers; DNB is enough for me..
WE'll see
St. Patricks Athletic - U.C.D.: HT/FT X/1 3,60 -
Shamrock Rovers - Derry City FC: DNB 2 1,84 -

Good LUck
