Some momentum on the way from Valencia, two super wins in a row against Barcelona and real madrid, whats the verdict rc? Also would you fancy Villareal to keep up their good form however i backed against Atletico las weekend and got let down of a 16/1 accum by sevilla, most notably marseca was the man to thank.

At 5/4, Barca might look a good bet to win this, with Real Betis struggling so badly in La Liga, but this one's not as clean cut as that, and shrewd investors should give this fixture a wide berth.

Okay, so the Catalan crew are hanging on in there in the title race, but only just. With big question marks developing over the future of both Frank Rijkaard and Ronaldinho at the Nou Camp, uncertainty isn't really what Barca, or those who wish to put some cash on them, need right now.

Even the venue for the fixture itself remains in the balance, with Betis stubbornly resisting the Spanish football authorities' attempts to get them to play this match at a neutral venue after the recent bottle-throwing incident involving Athletic Bilbao.

Barcelona's well-documented variable away form, combined with all the distractions in the run-up to this one, suggest we would do well to simply leave it alone.

What a fantastic game this should be - go with Atletico Madrid to nick all three points at a cracking 11/4.

Villarreal are certainly on fire in La Liga, and the Yellow Submarines are actively hunting up a top three finishing position, after winning four of their last five league games, including a super 2-1 victory against Barcelona.

They also beat Atletico Madrid 4-3 earlier this term, so will be confident of repeating such an outcome here.

However, now take a look at the visitors' recent form - they were simply outstanding against Sevilla recently, and look to have put some poor performances right behind them now.

Indeed, Atletico's away performances have impressed more broadly this season - no side has conceded fewer goals on the road in Spain.

So, despite Villarreal's excellent form, Madrid are not to be messed with either, and you should back them to go well at such a big price.

Real Madrid v Sevilla Sunday 8pm Sky Sports 1

For weeks now, you'll know we've gone on and on about avoiding Madrid like the plague, and with good reason.

Their lead in La Liga has been reduced by a string of poor performances, and Real have now lost two on the spin after last weekend's 2-3 embarrassment at the hands of Valencia.

In such a situation, it's hard to envisage many takers at just over evens for Los Merengues.

Sevilla might be worth an interest to some though at 7/2 - after all, the travellers won 2-0 in their earlier head-to-head with Madrid this season.

Nevertheless, Sevilla's away form can be a real headache as we know, and they are 4-2-8 on the road thus far in the Primera. No, on reflection, too many variables to pile in either way at the Bernabeu.

Sorry for the late reply Cinny. Wouldn't fancy Valencia much, they're OK to back as outsiders, but I wouldn't want to back them at odds on in a game like that.

As for Villarreal, one to avoid really IMO. Villarreal are in pretty good form overall, but at home they've only won 1 of their last 4, and by the reports I read they were maybe slightly lucky to win that (against Zaragoza). They drew 0-0 with Osasuna where they were poor, by the sounds of it, 0-0 with Racing and 1-1 with Mallorca. And no matter how well they do this season, I still don't really trust Atletico, not sure I'd want to be backing them here, especially without Simao.

Have gone with Senna anytime scorer @ 12 on Betfair for a bit of interest, decent price for a penalty taker - not sure he's their regular taker, I didn't think he was but I'm not sure. Rossi took their last one a couple of weeks ago, but Senna took and scored a penalty against Barcelona a few weeks ago anyway, so I'm happy to have a go at that price.

Going to be some sick people around unless Barcelona get their arses into gear in the next 10 minutes (and it's not looking likely at the moment either) - nearly 1.7m euros placed on Barcelona at prices of 1.09 or shorter From 2-0 up to 3-2 down, conceding 3 in the space of 15 minutes and Betis missed a penalty in that time too
