Re: French Football - 13th May

ok then, it's the last night of ligue 2 tonight, and this is my last bet of the season

Grenoble v Amiens

Grenoble have been the most inconsistent side this season in ligue 2, and have had wins, draws, and losses all over the place. They have ended the season fairly poorly and have no win in 5 games. They are always a solid home team though and have lost just 1 of their last 6 at Le Stade Les Diguires (to Caen).

Amiens surprisingly beat Dijon last weekend to seal their survival, and a run of impressive home results has enabled them to confirm their safety. However, away form home they have been less than impressive all year winning just 1 match so far (at Brest). On the road they never play with much conviction and with negative tactics. They have nothing left to play for now and have no reason to be strong in commitment.

I have seen Grenoble in their last few games and they haven’t been that bad. They lost to Creteil last week but played ok. This is the last match of the campaign and a lot of fans will be in the stadium. The players will want to impress and they are capable of hammering Amiens. On their day, they can be incredible destructive. The strike duo of Oguro and Akrour is very dangerous and they have a strong midfield, spearheaded by captain Julien Francois.

I think Grenoble will produce the good here and the -0.25 AH is excellent cover. Id be surprised if Amiens managed to win this game and it looks like good value @ 1.90

Bet
Grenoble -0.25 AH 1.90 Pointbet 4/10

This is my last bet of the ligue 2 season, so it would be fitting should it win. In fact I believe its destined to be successful.

Re: French Football - 13th May

What happens if both Lorient and Caen win? Is the goal difference which counts?

Goal difference and if goal difference is the same most goals will do it.

If both teams win Caen need two goals more than Lorient so that they equal their goal differenve.

Re: French Football - 13th May

Nice one Nasos! Give us some thoughts on the Greek thread as well. Let's end the period with some good tips.

On the french League 2...

Sedan vs Guingamp

Sedan in celebrating its return in the first league after the results of the last round and their away win. 20000 fans of the team are expected in the final fiesta versus Guingamp. Sedan has only one win in their 5 last home games but I am expecting them to win this one and end the season on a high note.
This is reinforced further by Guingamp's selection problems. Central defender Martini, goalkeeper Debes, central midfielder Zoufre, left midefielder Rober and attacker Cader are all out due to injuries. All of them played in last week's game against Sete. In addition the first 4 are integral team members in this period for Guingamp. They have nothing to play for and I hope that with a goakeeper that has only played once all season, they will not spoil Sedan's party.
So...

Sedan vs Guingamp - Homewin @ 1.8

Re: French Football - 13th May

And another one for tonight's League 2.

As mentioned above Caen need to win their game and overcome a goal difference of -2 if Lorient wins their game in order to get promoted.
They are facing Creteil at home and while odds around 1.35 on the home win are rather short against a team undefeated last 6 rounds, the overs may have some value.

Caen will be out there tonight with an attacking spirit tonight and as left midfilelder Florentin stated " If we are 3-0 up at half time as we did against Lorient, all pressure will be on Lorient". Odds on over 2.5 are dropping fast but can still be found on 1.8, which is certainly a sensible option.

So regarding tonigh's Div.2

Sedan vs Guingamp - Homewin @ 1.8
Caen vs Creteil - Over 2.5 @ 1.8

Re: French Football - 13th May

Quick correction

"If we are 3-0 up at half time as we did against Le Havre all pressure will be on Lorient".

Well... sorry about that...

20' Caen 3-1 Creteil - did not take too long

waiting on Sedan now

Re: French Football - 13th May

To be honest as my bet season is over, I am keeping stakes rather low.
However as I find it unethical not to put my money where my mouth is, I had a 4pts combo on the two games.

Need a Sedan goal in order to .

FT Caen - Creteil 3-1

I will be looking for any decent investement regarding the winnings on the Greek, Romanian, French, Russian and Spanish leagues.

In addition
