Re: Asian Champions League

SaiPa v Al Wasl - (11am kickoff)

SaiPa started their campaign with a point in Kuwait, but should have had much more after dominating vast portions of the game. Meanwhile, Al Wasl were outplayed at home by Iraqi team Al Quwa.

SaiPa are in great form domestically, unbeaten in all competitions since mid-December. They have no injury worries coming into the match and are expected to stick to the same team that played so well in their previous outing.

Al Wasl have won just two of their last seven games, both at home, whilst their only points away from home have come against the bottom three teams in their domestic league. They also have no major injury worries.

SaiPa to beat Al Wasl @ 1.73 (Bet365) - 3 points

Re: Asian Champions League

Al Wahda v Al Sadd

In their first game of the competition, Al Wahda were totally outplayed by Al Karamah resulting in a 1-4 loss. It's not been a good season for Al Wahda, who have already sacked two coached this season and are struggling domestically. They also have some injury problems for this game with at least one important player definitely out, while two others are major doubts.

Al Sadd had better of first half in their game against Al Ahli, before taking their foot off gas in second and allowing the Saudis back in the game. A win was no less than they deserved for their first half performance though. They're going well domestically, though they have lost their last two league games. This is due to them resting a number of players in preparation for these Champions League ties though.

Al Sadd are worth taking a chance on here after their performance in the previous game, and with Al Wahda's abject performance in their game. Al Wahda have struggled all season to really make an impact domestically so hopefully they won't suddenly get their act together for this game. However, I'm going to keep the draw on my side with a still quite tasty AH(0) bet.

Al Sadd AH(0) to beat Al Wahda @ 4.00 (Bet365) - 1 point

Re: Asian Champions League

One other bet I am thinking of at the moment is Iraq's Arbil to beat Kuwaitis Al Quadsia. Al Quadsia had a decent win over Pakhtakor, despite being outplayed for the majority of the match, while a draw was probably about right for Arbil in the match against Al Gharafa.

However, Al Quadsia's preparations for this match have been less than ideal with eight first team players having joined up with the Kuwaiti national team this week, giving the team very little time to prepare for this match.

Arbil are available at 3.60 (Bet365) though I'm not sure I'll be betting on this just yet. May well go with the DNB at 2.62 (also Bet365).
