UEFA Cup Places at La Liga

sorry for offtopic, i want to ask a question about la liga. if sevilla wins the uefa cup and finish league at 6th place, willl 7th team go to uefa cup? what is the situation about this?

My understanding is, no.

If a team wins the UEFA cup and does not qualify for the Champions League or the UEFA cup the following season, then UEFA can- if requested by that country's FA, allow the team into the competition.

However, if the cup winners DO end up in a postition to qualify for the cup anyway then an "extra" place will not be allowed.

In other words, the 7th placed club will not go in.
