Columbus (7-9-10)-Los Angeles (6-13-6)
Despite being one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference, the Columbus Crew are still in position to possibly make the playoffs.
The Crew continue their push for the postseason when they host the Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday.
Columbus (7-9-10) is in sixth place in the conference, leading only expansion club Toronto FC. But the Crew, who beat Toronto 2-1 last Saturday, still have a chance to capture the eighth and final playoff spot.
Columbus, however, has struggled recently. Its win over Toronto was its first in two months after an 0-4-3 slide. Jason Garey and Jacob Thomas each scored second-half goals after Toronto put the Crew behind 1-0 in the second minute of the game.

Thomas' game-winning goal came with seven minutes to play, when he fired a low shot past Toronto goalkeeper Kenny Stamatopoulos.
"Good win man, that's all I can say - for us it's important," Thomas said. "We need three points to basically put some pressure on Chicago and Colorado, so you know the win was good for us, good for the team. We've had a lot of ties, where we go down last minute, so this right here was a very positive note."
After Sunday's game, Columbus has three contests remaining -- all against teams that have already clinched a spot in the postseason.
The Galaxy (6-13-6) are also hoping they can rally to take the final playoff berth, despite trailing eighth place in the overall standings by a handful of points with five games remaining. Los Angeles has won its last two matches, including a 1-0 victory over Kansas City on Thursday.
Gavin Glinton, a second-half substitute for Cobi Jones, scored on a header deep in the penalty area in the 80th minute to lead the Galaxy.
"It was one of the most important goals I have scored," Glinton said. "This win keeps us in it. We need to take care of business on Sunday, but at least we took care of it tonight. We know that no one wants us to win, but we know that we are a good team. I think tonight's win really proves that."
The victory was the first for the Galaxy in an MLS road match since Aug. 6, 2006.
"We haven't done anything yet. It puts us in a better position, but give the guys credit tonight. We came out tonight and played well," Jones said.
This is the second meeting between these teams this season. The Crew won 3-2 on June 23 to improve to 4-0-3 against the Galaxy since Los Angeles' last win on April 24, 2004.
