Schalkes team play for few years now in same formation and know each other very well. I think that selling of Lincoln aint that bad, as their game depended on him too much. Great player on his day, but on bad day a hooror for the whole team.

Lincoln,Altintop,Hoogland are gone.
Delura,Azaough,Westermann,Jones and Abel signed in.

5 new players and all have the potential to play in the starter team. Lincoln was the midfield motor and heart of the match with wonderful free kicks. I saw the freekicks by Pander versus Nuremberg .. ... not the same!

Schalke have to play in again.

From those that have left, only Lincoln was first team player, and those five that came in are all replacement players. Not saying that they wont get their chance with time, but right now they are only replacement. Basis of the team is same and now with Rakitic they can play what always coach slomka wanted to play, fast forward game w/O playmaker. Imo extremly important for Schalke is that Lovenkrands is fit again, as they lost the championship last year cause they didnt had replacement for him.
