PREMIER LIGA WEEKEND PREVIEW
Premier Liga campaign restarts after two weeks break with CSKA-Dinamo derby to be the central match of Matchday 16.

CSKA and Dinamo are among the leaders of the campaign so their head-to-head battle will surely attract attention from Russian supporters and football specialists since the victory of one of these Moscow clubs could lift the team closer to the first place. Both Dinamo and CSKA have twenty-two points that allows them hold the third and the fifth position respectively being only four points behind the second placed Spartak and five behind the leading Zenit. Brazilian stars Vagner Love and Jo still are out for the title holders so their absence is still a vital problem for the champions. However the youngsters Burmistrov and Tikhonov will get a chance to show their best during the Moscow derby since their motivation will make up for the lack of experience. Valery Gazzaev is still can’t rely on injured Akinfeev, Dudu, Carvalho and Odia while Dinamo will be without injured Skepsky and Kurochkin who made for the Russian youth team.

The first match of the weekend program will take place in Vladivostok where Luch-Energiya take on Saturn. It were the hosts who got the upper hand over the team from Moscow region in the first half of the season so today they have a wonderful chance to continue this tradition at home. The hosts have a full bench of players to chose from with Novkovic to be the only absentee while Saturn won’t count with a number of players including suspended Shilla and Dyuritsa, injured Gogua, Polovinchuk, Yakubko and Yashin as well as Solomin and Pershin are out since they help their national teams.

The second placed Spartak fly to Perm where they are to meet Amkar. Moscow team have a chance to get the sole possession of the first place in case Zenit lose in Rostov. Martin Jiranek is ready to make a full comeback after almost two-months absence through an injury while Kovalchuk and Kudryashov are still injured and Wojcieh Kowalewski stayed in Moscow. Oleksic and Scherbakov will miss the clash for the hosts while Seldevilya trains individually and will be able to join the main team only the next week.

Saturday program ends with Kuban-Khimki clash in Krasnodar. The teams are neighbors in the standings since only one point divide them in the table so the victory could make their chances to strengthen their position. Kuban will miss injured Zuev and Chochiev while the visitors will do without Maksumic and Parfyenov.

One of the campaign favorites Moskva fly to Tomsk to cross their swords with Tom. Moskva defender Okoronkvo will start training at the end of the month so he won’t help his club steal three points from Tom. Gubnik, Meleshin and Rebeja are also out of action while Tom will miss suspended Tarasov and Yanotovsky as well as injured Lebedkov, Proshin and Shirko.

The forth positioned Krylya Sovetov host Spartak Nalchik. Samara team are among the campaign leaders so they are to prove their position by winning their home clash. However Spartak are not to fall easy meat for Krylya Sovetov since they won their home match in the first half of the season and now they are not going to lay down the arms. Krylya Sovetov won’t count on Booth through suspension and Bitokov and Shvetsov through injuries. Spartak Nalchik in their turn have full bench of players to chose from.

The weekend program last match will take place in Saint Petersburg as the leading Zenit take on Rostov who are stuck at the bottom of the standings. Dick Advocaat task to win the underdogs is complicated by the suspension of the first-choice defenders Anyukov, Krijanats, Ricksen, Hagen and Skrtel as well as absence of Premier Liga top-scorer Pavel Pogrebnyak through injury while the visitors are without suspended Burchenko and Mogilevsky.

Rubin-Lokomotiv clash will take place on July, 25.

ADVOCAAT BELIVES IN ZENIT
Premier Liga leaders Zenit are ready to return into action after a short period of rest.
The team’s manager Dick Advocaat comments on the campaign restart to Sport Express.
"Sometimes a short period of rest is more useful that regular trainings", said Dick Advocaat.
"Zenit played around thirty matches midway the season so this break was an urgent necessity for the players."
"We are to face the campaign underdogs Rostov but I don’t think any corrections in the midfield and attacking positions are necessary now."

PETRAKOV STAYS IN TOMSK
Tom manager Valery Petrakov is eager to continue working with the team.
The club offered Petrakov to extend his agreement with Tom three months ago so now the manager has signed a new contract which will run till the end of 2008.
"This delay has been cased only by one circumstance", said Petrakov to Sport Express.
"Tom don’t have a sponsor while financial stability is the major factor of future development."
"However the situation has been changed for the better since the government promised to fulfill all their financial commitments and to back the club."
"According to the chairman of Tomsk Duma Boris Maltsev the region will be capable to finance the club on their own so I hope that the situation that took place last year won’t repeat any more."
"I left FC Moskva two years ago so now I will have to meet my former team being at the helm of Tom."

Zenit - Rostov
Zenit still no playing well. Moreover they will miss whole defence line for this match due to injures and suspension.
Rostov is on last place but they have enough quality to be in the middle of the table. But haven't luck lately.

Khimki - Loko
Khimki played good vs leaders at home +1=3-0. And overall they are decent team. Some inj troubles but not very serious.
Loko is on downtrend. Some troubles between coach and players. Captain and playmaker Loskov was sold and he was leader of the team. So I expekt some problems with gameplay.
All in all not so much difference between teams right now.
