Re: Switzerland-Last round 24-26 MAy

Is it true that nobody care for Swiss?
I go on Basel 1H @2.07 in local.
I also fancy Schaffhausen away because they need points and they have big motivation for this match. Is anybody have some information about teams. This is last round and that's my favourite round for play.
Zurich is waiting for Basel to lose at least two points in this match so they are also favorite in this game but I will try with over just like in the game between Sion and Luzern.

Re: Switzerland-Last round 24-26 MAy

I have publish it yesterday...

Aarau FC - St. Gallen 1 @ 1.55

Aarau needs to win to secure their Premier league status, no matter what Schaffhausen do.
In fact, Schaff has to win too, if Aarau wins, but with 3 goals more, which is hard to believe, since it's team which scores two goals only twice in their last 10 games.
Aarau manged to beat Schaff, in last round away with 0-2, and probably taht was crucial relegation foght result.
Today, thay have to put the final efforts , take 3 points against unmotivated guest and to finish this season.
St.Gallen has nothing to fight for since thy have lost all hopes for place in Europe and situation at the table clearly showing that, no matter what they do today, they'll finish as 5th.
Pure motivation bet, since Aarau has everything to fight for.

Zurich FC - Grasshoppers Zurich 1 @ 1.35

Completely the same thing again, but this time it's about the title.
Zurich can become a champion very easy - they have just to win today.
Grass is in a 4 games scoreless row, and with coach sacked and number of players on a transfer list, I can't believe that thay will find a motive in a game like this.

Sion-Luzern 1 @ 1,25

Sion is playing for UEFA Cup spot, Luzern is playing for nothing.
Guests are waiting for a cup final game and they surely wont risk new injuries.
Clear home win.

FC Thun v Schaffhausen could be a tricky game, so I'll skip it.
Basel is likely winner, but who knows....YB has to play for UEFA , if Zurich take early lead.....maybe I'm wrong - but I'll skip this one, too.

Thun are without keeper Bettoni (substitute Portmann is very good) and replaceable midfielder Friedli.

Schaffhausen are facing a crippling absentee crisis which will make coach Schallibaum use a few youth players in the lineup; three regular defenders are out in the likes of El Haimour, Da Souza and Bochud, while three regular midfielders are also out, as Montadon, Da Silva and in form Tarone are all injured.

Schaffhausen certainly need the points but I wouldn't dream about touching them at these prices.

Re: Switzerland-Last round 24-26 MAy

...Schaffhausen without defense and midfield, youths supposed to save a club from relegation.
Mission impossible written all over it !
If Thun managed to score first I predict:
- Goal fest and easy home win for Thun, great price btw.
No way that already demoralized players in such weakened squad could find further motive to play, what for?

Well, Schaffhausen are a bunch of players of very similar quality, they don't have key players, but the problem is that just too many players are missing and they don't have a bench wide enough to replace them all.

Moreover, Thun caretaker boss Saibene has played for Aarau for eight seasons and has stated that he would love to see his former team stay in the league.
Impossible to say if he'll actually manage to motivate his players, but all the things I've stated are more than enough to make me not even think of backing Schaffhausen here. I might even have a little nibble of the delicious 2.2 and more that can be found for Thun dnb, but I will most likely stick with Sion -1.5 as my only bet.

To avoid relegation, of course.

Actually, Thun had five players (including star midfielder Aegerter) removed from their first team squad, as their boss believed they weren't showing enough commitment as they all knew that they are gonna leave in the summer.

The decision to omit them proved to be a fantastic one, and has resulted in Thun escaping the drop, although they were ninth when the changes were made.

Cheers, so how come you trust them to win this? these odds are awfully high arnt they? which scares me too.

Re: Switzerland-Last round 24-26 MAy

Not really, the ninth placed team will be involved in the Play-out and face a Challenge league team for their survival, while the bottom team will be directly relegated.

The squad changes are not a reason not to trust Thun, as they've been playing much better after making them - you can look at their formbook and see what I am talking about. Offensive midfielder Scarione has emerged as the team's savior, playing in stellar form over the last few weeks - he is expected to start today, so I can definitely see Thun scoring a few.
