Re: Aussie State League Soccer: 18th May

right i need to get something down here so as i ca promote this thread. Here have this-
Quote:
Floreat Athena host Perth Soccer Club in a crucial game between two traditional rivals at Litis Stadium on Saturday, 19 May at 5.00pm. The hotly anticipated clash sees the top two sides meet each other in a battle that could prove vital in the title race. Both sides have won all their matches so far and will be keen to keep that record after Saturday’s game.

Perth and Floreat met in the McInerney Ford Night Series Semi-Final with the North Perth based side running out 2-0 winners in a tight and even contest.

Floreat enter the game coming off a 4-1 away win over struggling Inglewood. Former Perth Glory midfielder Josip Magdic continued his recent run of good form with two goals while Miki Vujacic and Julian Madaschi both chipped in with goals in the comprehensive victory. Athena coach Michael Roki will rely on lively striker Boima Karpeh and young partner Stefan Smiljanic to cause problems for the water-tight Perth defense that has conceded just one goal in the league season.

The form of teenage Glory striker Nikita Rukavytsya has been a big part of star-studded Perth’s success so far. The quick Ukrainian-born striker has scored an amazing nine goals in five Premier League games, clearly leading the league’s goal-scoring charts. Trent Kay, Michael Icanovski and Gianfranco Circati form a strong defense that is nearly impossible to break down, having conceded just one goal all season to Dean Wallace of Cockburn. The mix of youth and experience all across the park has proved to be a winning formula for Coach Graham Normanton, given he led Perth to the night series title and they currently sit top of the Premier League table on goal difference.

Re: Aussie State League Soccer: 18th May

dont worry broms it will be ok. there will be prices. I suppose they need the time to get themselves ready as we do. They dont wanna make any glaring errors. Suppose it's their jobs poss at stake. I heard that they just get the office junior into price the games up. Whats the biggest single anyone has been allowed on an aussie game out of interest? And who with?

Just gonna have a look at Figaro(o) in this week's racing and football outlook. I know he's up against it trying to get his picks together on their extremly early cut off for publishing but that still doesnt mean we can all see how Figaroo fares seeing as tipster proofing is my bag at the moment.

Mentioned in article picks-
Frankstone Pines
Diamond Valley
Doveton (great info on their doubled fingured this season already signing)

he says solid homes are-
Altona City
Keilor Egles
Cirnlea
Geelong Rangers
Mooroolbark,
Western Knights
Riverside

'looking for good away prospects has not been any easy task'
Geelong
Nunawading
Joondalup
Fremantle
Morley
SW Phoenix

Good luck to you figaroo.

I havent had a chance to try and make sense of anything ive read so far. Still got too much work to do on www.aussiesoccerstats.com A few odds being published in the morning will take me over though

Re: Aussie State League Soccer: 18th May

Just quick thoughts from me on the western leagues but i must state that i aint well read on anything yet. I like to loook specifaclly at something and then envelope myself with it. I have read up on all the previous rounds without putting too much to meemory. I will be going back all through it when i get a look at some odds. I might as well ry and guess the rough odds to give me something to think over.

Athena v Perth is a cracker and i think youll get 6/5 on the away. I aint so sure that i will be interested in it but i will lo0ok on with interest. Geordie's Stirling is still managed by Mickey Lions i believe and their playing well whilst still drawing too much. theyve got some wonder kid bovi or similar and he's running defences ragged. Cockburn from memory might have been better away from home last season but again theyre gonna be hard to beat.

all this from a man who hasnt even looked at a table on www.aussiesoccerstats.com and forgets his previews. i think Stirling will be slight favs but youll probably get 11/8 the pair.

Everyone goes on about Inglewood have some of the best players in the league but they dont seem to do much winning. Im always wary of backing for or against Inglewood and likewise funnily enough Joondalup (i must get my joondalup top back from the ex. I wont though thats the thing ) Aye 6-4 either way this one. or 0-0. Ive no idea. I wouldnt back Joondalup at a favourites price possibly.

Knights are looking strong thisseason i believe and Armadale are keeping it quite tight and i belive theyve got a 'rock' of a defender signed. need to check that. Knights will be about 1/3 poss. imo i couldnt begin to guess at how Sorrento and fremantle will end up the now. Obviously the form of last years champs will reflect the price. Fremantle came up last season (bollocks was it the season before? this is all so long ago to me) nah im sure it was last year and if i want to check i will be able to ASS later this week.

Swan i heard were playing well in defeat the game before last. i think that they just went onto play and get beat last time so i couldnt be confident about them either. Wanneroo believe also could be 'gee-d up' with a new addition to the team. Ive a feeling Wanneroo have tighten right up or maybe they havent. ive no idea at all. Lets have a look at the table for copy and paste purposes.-

League table (overall)
Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Perth 5 5 0 0 19 1 18 15
2 Floreat Athena 5 5 0 0 16 3 13 15
3 Stirling Lions 5 3 2 0 11 3 8 11
4 Cockburn City 5 3 0 2 10 8 2 9
5 ECU Joondalup 5 3 0 2 6 5 1 9
6 Western Knights 5 2 1 2 12 10 2 7
7 Inglewood Utd 5 2 1 2 6 7 -1 7
8 Fremantle 5 2 1 2 6 9 -3 7
9 Armadale 5 0 3 2 1 5 -4 3
10 Wanneroo City 5 0 1 4 4 11 -7 1
11 Swan IC 5 0 1 4 2 16 -14 1
12 Sorrento 5 0 0 5 3 18 -15 0

Re: Aussie State League Soccer: 18th May

To tell you the truth Kegman sometime i wonder why they bother. I know that in the uk we've always had the aussie football for pools purposes. The pools companies have always been well treated by the british government and they single handedly destroyed fixed odds football betting by making the government put the tax on fixed odds betting as high as 40% (i think) in the early 70's so as it wouldnt be a threat to the pools. Some Scottish bookmaker who's name escapes me were the first to bring out 'non fixed odds' coupons. Before that you would have to take ? amount of teams and the bookmaker would give you set odds for so many homes or so many away. This scottish bookie was the first to price up all the games individually and claimed that it wouldnt need to have the higher tax on it as it wasnt 'fixed odds' i think this was the start of the football coupon as we know it and with that and the lottery it's seen the pools decline. I would say the bookies have bo real reason to price up the aussie state leagues these days barr out of greed. Thats where this thread and www.aussiesoccerstats.com comes in.

exactly - they've now realised that punters are better prepared and have more info at their fingers because rather than having an aunt jessie at the end of the phone who'd not long emigrated how else would they get the info

It ok now Kegman?

I think we will see odds this week at least from bwin again. Maybe it will mean that i dont get on but then it will give me an extra week to catch up more. I won't have to say to anyone let us know when you see some odds but here's hoping that someone goes for a full schedule this week
