Re: Greece 13 May

Where are the other matches rcgills?
Ionikos - Olympiakos
Panionios - AEK
Xanthi - Iraklis
Apollon K. - Larisa

This is last round in Greece and there is a few interesting matches. Xanti play against Iraklis whos fighting for stay in league and Xanti don't have any motivation for this match. That could be away wun for Iraklis but I will search for informations about injures and suspensions.
In Greece, local bookies are changing odds every few hours so if somebody have some idea please help.

Overall table [?] GP W D L Goals P
1. Olympiakos Piraeus 29 21 5 3 68
2. Athens AEK 29 18 8 3 62
3. Panathinaikos Athens 29 16 5 8 53
4. Aris Saloniki 29 11 13 5 46
5. PAOK Saloniki 29 12 6 11 42
6. Panionios Athens 29 11 9 9 42
7. OFI Crete 29 12 6 11 42
8. Halkidona 29 9 10 10 37
9. Xanthi 29 8 12 9 36
10. Ergotelis 29 10 6 13 36
11. Kalamaria 29 9 8 12 35
12. Kerkyra 29 8 10 11 34
13. Larissa AE 29 8 9 12 33
14. Iraklis Saloniki 29 8 6 32
15. Aigaleo 29 7 7 15 28
16. Ionikos Nikaia 29 2 4 23 4

Last 3 teams will be relegating in second league. Ionikos Nikaia,Aigaleo are already in the second league and Iraklis,Larissa,Kerkyra,Kalamaria will fight for stay in league tommorow.

Re: Greece 13 May

Xanthi - Iraklis is very hard game for betting. Xanti is better team but Iraklis need points so I don't want to bet on Xanti home win. On the other side Xanti is the team with very low numbers of goals on their matches so I go on Xanti under @1.65 6 points in some combo

Re: Greece 13 May

let's say some things about this last round of greek championship.
first of all, there are 3 games with no interest in both teams. these matches are: aris-atromitos(aris already in uefa cup, atromitos nothing to play for), ionikos-olympiacos(ionikos relegated, olympiacos already champion) and ergotelis egaleo(ergotelis nothing to play for, egaleo already relegated).
so, there is no reason to bet on those matches, or maybe little stakes on over as there are going to be open games.
the other 5 matches are seperated in 2 categories: 2 matches that would decide one more team for uefa cup(paok-ofi and panionios-aek) and the other 3 matches would decide one more team that would be relegated(kalamaria-larisa, panathinaikos-kerkyra and xanthi-iraklis).
let's start with the uefa battle: ofi, paok and panionios are tied to 42 points. if ofi wins at paok, it goes to uefa cup no matter what happens to panionios match. ofi wins at any possible head2head tie.if paok wins or draw against ofi and panionios wins against aek, panionios go to uefa cup. panionios wins the head2head tie against paok. in the last case that both matches end as draws, ofi advances to uefa cup as well.
in the relegation battle, iraklis, larisa and kerkyra are fighting to avoid 1 place that relegates them to B'division. there are a lot of possibilities for these matches as both three teams play away with teams that has nothing to play for. all i can say is that iraklis wins in all possible head2head ties(but iraklis is last of these three teams for now) and kerkyra loses in all head2head ties as well(but kerkyra is ahead in the battle for now).

Re: Greece 13 May

if you were asking me to bet on sth, even though maybe i won't at last, i would bet on panionios to win against aek, medium stakes.
panionios is motivated to win to advance to uefa cup, but even if ofi wins and they don't succeed their target, they do want to participate in intertoto cup as their coach said.
aek also has a lot of injury problems, mainly in defence(coach ferer called 3 playrs from B'team so as to have 18 players with him)

Re: Greece 13 May

As you realise odds are funny for this final round.

Panionios should beat AEK in their quest for the uefa cup spot but odds have drifted downwards.

At the relegation battle, the key game is Xanthi vs Iraklis. Iraklis needs to win to have good chances to stay up. If they draw they need Larisa to lose at Kalamaria, which is not very probable scenario. If Iraklis win, they could still go down if Larisa wins (probable) and Kerkyra wins against Pao away from home (hard to imagine but hey, this is Greece).

All in all I would say that Iraklis may be the one going down. The game against Xanthi is a much discussed topic in Greece and noone really knows if Xanthi will go for it and send Iraklis to the second division or not. Xanthi misses a lot of players for this one but still are better than Iraklis and very very strong at home (not a single defeat this year). Odds for Iraklis are very funny but I repeat that this is Greece and I sympathise with the odds compilers. I would lay them personally.

i totally agree with you.
in fact, xanthi is unbeaten 39 games in their own ground. even olympiacos, aek, panathinaikos or paok has not won there. why should they let iraklis do so?

Re: Greece 13 May

it was a great last sunday for profit.
as i said, all 3 matches involving teams that didh't have to win or lose sth, ended as overs:
ergotelis-egaleo 3-0
aris-atromitos 1-2
ionikos-olympiacos 3-5

and the only match that i bet on, as i said: panionios-aek 3-1
what a great last round

the results in the other matches;
panathinaikos-kerkyra 2-2
paok-ofi 1-0
kalamaria-larisa 1-2
xanthi-iraklis 1-2

so, all in all:

champions league: olympiacos(right away to the groups), aek(3rd qualifying round)
uefa cup: panathinaikos, aris, larisa, panionios
relegated to B' division: ionikos, egaleo, kerkyra

already promoted from B' division to super league: levadiakos, asteras tripolis
one more team to be decided in the last 3 rounds.

  • Was just thinking there, the best type of "fuck off " is the following; You`re playing astro, 5 a side, someone shouts "handball" and the "fuck off" response is fucking class.
