Have you watched 'the Shouting men' yet Hasty? Watched it over the weekend and wasn't really impressed, it tried a bit to hard for laffs for my liking so I turned it off half way through, being a Gills fan yourself you may have seen it , Just wanted to hear your take on it.

Agree about it being a shite tournie, probably the worst WC I've ever seen with only a handful of games worth watching and i watched the bleedin lot bar those that were played in tandom.
I hope this isn't the future of football.

We were watching the final last night and talking about how crap the tournie had been (in general) and my mate called it the Mourinho factor, setting teams up in a certain way, set up to not lose rather than win..think domestic and european football will still be exciting but I havent been overly excited in Internationals for a while, maybe it is the way football is going but maybe it was just one of those crap tournies we get every now and again, time will tell I guess..

I havent watched 'The Shouting Men' Slick, there were a number of comments on the Gills forum that put me off! Think the only review I saw in a paper gave it one out of five! ..I expect I'll end up downloading it one night if I'm really pissed and bored! None of the Gills fans seem very impressed by it to be honest..

Football has been going this way for ages Slick. It's become too easy for inferior sides to stop superior sides playing just by bloody closing down every last bit of fucking space. Fitness is counting way too much now for me. Just run around and get in the way. Bah.

I don't think Spain were great either - just good enough. They did move the ball around better than anyone else mind and were tough at the back. A bit gay in and around the box but they did the job so hats off to them. I thought Holland were pretty.... ordinary throughout. A lot stuffier than usual. Exciting stuff.

Anyways... I'm glad it's over too. I think we have some great U17's women's tournaments to look forward to soon. Or U20's maybe. It's like old school footy. Mental stuff.
