Re: World Cup Group D
There were a few problems caused by the Aussies, especially the penalty shout. It's more the depth and creativity in the German team that impresses. They have strength, solidity and flair. I think the odds will slip again after Netherlands, Spain and Brazil play though.

Re: World Cup Group D
I said before the first match in this group that Germany were potentially the team to beat in this tournament and Serbia were nothing more than here to make up the numbers. I have seen nothing to suggest my views had not been well-grounded.
Serbia had done nothing right all through the warm-up matches and qualified from a group with a very mediocre France. Germany (at least to the Serbs) are clearly opponents from a totally different stratosphere to any they have met in qualifying or the warmup matches coming into the World Cup. Expect Germany to nick this (expect a typically efficient German performance with a narrow win) once again, although I don't see a hammering on the cards. A double on Germany and England is my bet of the day at 1.96. |

Re: World Cup Group D
Tomorrow is big match for Serbia.Coward play against Ghana made nation pesimistic. One or two good actions for whole match is very very bad.About tomorrow match:
Defence-Stojkovic didnt have one proper save against Ghana. He havent played 5 club games so its tough to say can he make few saves.Subotic have about 1 pretty big mistake per game for NT.He is weak link. Midfield: If Milijas play again i am going to puke. With Stankovic its the slowest thing on the world.Kacar or Kuzmanovic need to start. Attack: Pantelic is CRAP,Zigic can be usefull but its hard for him to score with leg (only header ).Lazovic was good but i dont rate him.He will get red card with his stuped starts.Mrdja can be good option instead crappy Pantelic or even Kacar. He was good behind Zigic against France. Germany dont have the best defence and that is chance for Serbia. Not for attack (Zigic and crappy Pantelic),its chance for Krasic and Jovanovic.I think they can cause problem to Germany.Krasic wasnt good in first game but he will be now (i hope). Maybe i am a bit harsh, but my dissapointment was big after first game. Now i dont expect anything but need to say good luck eagles. You will need it. |

Re: World Cup Group D
Ghana v Australia
Australia were very poor in defence against Germany , they have lost Cahill with suspension ,he was the only player that looked any good to me. Ghana were organised against Serbia they created a few chances . I'm hoping that they can score their chances today. With Serbia getting a result against Germany a draw in not good enough in this group . This is a lucky group for me bettingwise , I backed Germany ht/ft in the first round of matches , one of my rare winning bets in this world cup , the majority of my selections have ended up as draws . My selection is Ghana , so all of you should be on the draw , if New Zealand can fuck my bet up I'm sure those Aussies can. |

Re: World Cup Group D
Serbia is one of my favourites to go to the semifinals and I'm glad they won such critical game versus Germany. Now another win and they can look forward to the first place. But let's se first what will do Ghana and Australia.

Re: World Cup Group D
bet365 have realised that I've placed a bet on Ghana@ 2.0 this morning, so they've changed the odds to 2.25 , well that's the only news I've heard/read about this match

Re: World Cup Group D
Ghana has been piss poor upfront all tournament and how they have managed to stay in the hunt is beyond me - defending won't get you very far and you can't rely on penalties as the solitary source of goals. With such dubious goalkeeping and frontline, I don't see anything but a stroll in the park for the Germans - they always come good when it matters, don't they?
![]() The Serbia-Germany and Chile-Switzerland refs have got to be the two biggest cnuts I have seen all tournament. While I don't think Germany played superbly against Serbia (Podolski's penalty miss just about complemented the ref's performance ), I thought Serbia had the rub of the green with the enforced tactical reshuffling forced upon them with Klose's sending off. In short, I don't expect a repeat of that performance and Germany should have far too much for a mediocre Ghana.Serbia, on the other hand, has struggled to convince and I remain unconvinced they have what it takes to beat Australia. If this had been the opening match of the group, I'd happily lump on backing the Aussies - my only concern now is a total mental collapse from the Socceroos that could trigger an avalanche of goals otherwise beyond the ability of the Serbs. Nevertheless, I'll go for a double on Germany to win to nil (bet of the day for me) and Australia +0.5 at 4.71. |

Re: World Cup Group D
Germany are having a stinker aren't they?
And don't write off the USA so easily, Swoop. They're not a team of flair and skill but they get stuck in, have a lot of spirit and are well capable of upsetting teams, especially in the knockout stages. Shit at the back mind. ![]() |

Re: World Cup Group D
[QUOTE=Swooperman;647782]Serbia robbed
[/QUOTEI think yes,we can say that if you think on handball.Cahil didnt have intention but on the other hand same situation was with Vidic or Kuzmanovic. Referee showed on the spot in those cases. I dont know is that a penalty or isnt but referees need to have same criteria in similar situations. So yes,we were robbed! |
