A walk in the park for england? nah its never that easy for them. Can USA pull off a historic win like they did way back in the....50's? they should be hard to beat. Dont the two teams play a similar style? (yes i know nothing about international football)

I can see slovenia maybe getting something from the last game if england win their first 2 games.

I think the whole beauty of this group lies in the very first match: England and USA have always been rivals at just about anything (historical reasons, I think). I'd like to see England as one of the European experts at football, while USA is an outsider at this game. And now they're challenging their colonial forefathers at their own game! I'm really looking forward to this match, and I think it will end with a draw.

As for the group as a whole, England and USA will qualify, although I do expect some surprises from Algeria (remember, Zidane is of algerian descent along with other great french players). I've only seen Slovenia play a couple of times last year, and they didn't impress me. Certainly no match for England.

England and Slovenia for me here. England are shoe ins and id expect 3 wins. Slovenia knock the ball around well and looked ok in that freindly last year with England. There`s not much between them and the USA but Slovenia are a much bigger price so id go with that. Algeria could cause a shock and upset someone, but that will be their final

Algeria not to get a point is my obvious bet. I would probably even stretch my neck further and bet on them not scoring, but they are good at set-pieces.

Again it's a dual race between the US and Slovenia for the 2nd spot, as England is almost guaranteed top spot. My guess is the US of A will come 2nd though due to them being more experienced than the Slovenians.

Anyway, England travel to South Africa, I say Africa , with big ambitions. Capello looks the right man to lead the three lions to the semis, why not even further. I hope only England will not play penalties.

Ditto, thats who I have ODM allthough i expect USA to give Slovenia a run for their money for that second spot.

That might sound ignorant just expecting England to win the group but if we fcuking don't it time to sack it.
