I don't know what the salary structure is in Spain (RC will probably know) but the only two leagues in the world that play silly money any more as far as I'm aware are England and Spain. Oh and the US but they aren't competitive and just pay silly money for big world names to promote and advertise.

The Italians have learned their lesson the hard way, the Germans, French and Dutch have never really got caught up in the "pissing money up the wall" mentality. The South Americans get massive crowds I think but logic says that if their money was on a par with that of Europe then half of Brazil and Argentina wouldn't have plied their trade over here.

So, I'd say it's got to be either the England or the Spanish team and my guess would me our lot of underachievers. All the other teams will have big earners in their own right but ours will be overpaid from top to bottom.
