Korea Republic Vs Greece
It may be well worth having a punt on South Korea today to get the first win of the football World Cup as they take on a Greek side who are the oldest in the tournament. South Korea has participated in seven World Cup final tournaments and became the first and only Asian team to reach the semi-finals, doing so when it co-hosted the 2002 FIFA World Cup with Japan. South Korea is considered as one of the most successful international football teams in Asia. Their lively style of play could cause Greece lots of problems today. Greece only just managed to squeeze into the world cup with a 1-0 aggregate win over Ukraine and only 1 win in their last 5 games. Korea meanwhile only lost to Spain 1-0 in a recent friendly but can count on decent form. The big indication here will be there 2-2 draw these sides played only 2 weeks ago. Korea went a goal behind after just 2 minutes, I don't expect they will concede an early goal this time and should be able to boss the game rather than chasing it this time. It is notable that they will play a more solid 4-4-2 rather than the 4-3-3 they played in that game also.

Argentina Vs Nigeria
South Africa provided a great start for the African teams in the tournement who should fair well. It will be interesting to keep an eye on this game in respect to the advantage the African teams will have over their foreign counterparts. Argentina are unbeaten in their three games against Nigeria (two wins and one draw). Argentina have won both previous games against Nigeria at the World Cup: 2-1 in 1994 and 1-0 in 2002, both were in the group stages. I expect Nigeria manager Lars Lagerback to employ the same tactics as South Africa. They will sit back deep and look to hit Argentina on the break. Argentina i expect will have the ideas, movement and patience to win this game. It will be important for Nigeria to be organised if they are to get anything out of this but i just don't see it happening. Meanwhile Walter Samuel and Demichelis with Mascherano pretecting the defence is a solid back-up unit to keep anyones money safe. Unfortuately the bookies have priced Argentina out, one bet that stands out is Gonzalo Higuain to score at anytime. If any of the three strikers are to stay on the pitch the whole 90 minutes it may be Higuain as Maradonna may decide to take Messi off against tough tackling Nigeria if Argentina are in cruise control. Higuain is playing in the central striking role and should get plenty of fine balls from Messi and Tevez to latch on to. The price of 4/9 however is simply too small to get involved in, especially when there are still questions over Maradonna and Argentina's qualifying campaign.

Has anyone forgot how poor Argentina were in the Qualifiers?!!! Their away record was dismal, only winning 2 out of 9 games. Good individuals that can hardly play together as a team! If they dont get it right in the 1st game they could be in trouble, can see Maradona losing the plot with team selection. Puttin a small bet on the Nigerians for a wee shock result!!!!

I'm going to take overs in the Argentina vs Nigeria game. I think Argentina can cover it on their own but I'm not impressed with the defence for either team so Nigeria capable of sneaking one... they all help in this instance.

Argentina are just waiting to be knocked out by a half decent team! Nigeria Greece and the Koreans ,are all absolute gash but the first team who has the capability to attack them , a team with a few proven scorers ,will tear them a new one
