Tennis, week 3-9/March

from Las Vegas

marat safin to beat lleyton hewitt @2.2

surprising high price for marat,in my eyes is a giant playing against micky mouse player, ok, perhaps not at his best, but as he said, he will do everything to come back

bookies favourite hewitt because of his good performance here, but i favourite marat

marat to win

Re: Tennis, week 3-9/March

OK, some bets for today, the ladies' tourney is far away from Europe, but I'll give it a try:

Lay Schnyder to win 2:0 against Nakamura @1.68 - liability 2 pts.

Speculative bet, but I think the Japanese has her chances today, even to eliminate the no.4 seeded. Schnyder doesn't like playing in that region while Nakamura does... Aiko scored a big victory against Tanasugarn in the 1st round and is capable of performing well once again today. I'll chose the less risky bet.

Re: Tennis, week 3-9/March

Mathieu to beat Roddick @3.60 - 7 pts

Strong bet for the Frenchman, who plays consistent tennis and didn't have many troubles against Siriani yesterday. h2h is 1:1, PHM has won on hard and Roddick reasonably on grass.
I was surprised how easy the Yank progressed to the 2nd round, but obviously Ferrero is out of sort after the Oz Open. If Mathieu manages to handle his serves somehow he'll get the chance to achieve a great victory, yesterday Roddick wasn't so convincing in the rallies (as ever) and that's where the French should take advantage.

I'm with you on that Schnyder bet, Engineer, and also had a little bit on Nakamura to win straight out. May have mentioned once or twice on here that I don't trust Schnyder at all when she's a favourite.

Also on Rochus to beat Ferrer for small stakes, Rochus has been in pretty decent form of late and destroyed Nieminen first round. Worth a little nibble laying Ferrer @ 1.23 That one's just started though actually.

Also considering Guccione for later against Canas.

Re: Tennis, week 3-9/March

Sorry, missed the whole week, but obviously I shouldn't get involved in the ATP events as I 'm being quite unsuccessful there recently and the only WTA tourney is far away from Europe. Not much of betting material, indeed.
Hope for a better next week.

  • Was just thinking there, the best type of "fuck off " is the following; You`re playing astro, 5 a side, someone shouts "handball" and the "fuck off" response is fucking class.
