Not a big tennis fan here at all. But i was rather impressed with Rusedskis performance yesterday. His serve was really good, he ended up having more aces on his second serve than his first so this bodes well with him. He also has a good track record at this competition getting to the Quarters and Semi finals in past couple of years.

So its just going to be a little dabble to keep me occupied.

I missed Ruesedki's performance, I watched Henman's match yesterday against Ginepi. Henman looked pretty rusty but then it was his first match back.

Roddick (on at the mo) looks pretty impressive, with Dent my outsider for the tournament.

Well, Andy Roddick won the tournament beating 6'10 Ivo Karlovic in the final 7-6, 7-6.

Might be a good pointer for Wimbledon - also take into account Roger Federer beating Marat Safin 6-4 6-7 (6/8) 6-4 to win the Gerry Weber Open this week.

Thats Federer's 29th consecutive win on grass

I aint very knowledgeable on tennis punting but did watch Nadal in the French Open Final - What are his chances on grass?

Just some Wimbledon info, Federer is a short 4/6 generally, Roddick is 5/1 with VC Bet.

Karlovic put in a good performance it seems in the final against Roddick, only losing out 7/6 7/6 - he is a best price 33/1 with totesport.

French Open winner Rafael Nadal is a big 25/1 with VC Bet, but SportingOdds have him as short as 10/1 - so it looks like the bookies are undecided too!

Nadal has a great game and I expect him to go further than some expect at Wimbledon (although his game isn't suited to grass). I do not expect him to go all the way. Maybe a back early and a lay later on as the odds shorten?

I'd lay Nadal on grass against anyone ranked in the top 25 on the surface. Its a surface that you're either good on or not in my view and very few clay courters with slow serves (relatively speaking) make any fist of it all. Look at poor grass records of all the South Americans (bar Canas maybe) and hes closer to fellow Mallorcan Carlos Moya (bar a very fluky 4th round in 2004). For Wimbeldon its who can beat Federer and the longshot value will lie with one of the big servers like Ancic , J Johansson. Nadal will go off very short against a natural grass courter like Srichaphan who thrashed him in 2003.
