Just a couple of quickies at the mo:

Zib v Gonzalez

Zib had an easy win in the first round v Acasuso, and we can't read too much into his pre tournament grass form as he played Gasquet and Karlovic at Queens and Nottingham so its tricky to tell how good he was. Only 7 unforced errors v Acasuso though.

Gonzalez also lost to Karlovic at Queens, and also had only 12 unforced errors v Mackin in the first round(maybe an easier match than Zib had.)

Both served exactly 63% first serves, both prefer the clay but seem to adapt well to grass, and yet Gonzalez is heavy bookies favourite.

I don't understand that. Favourite yes, but not as heavy as he is.

Serra Zanetti v Arvidsson

Another where I don't understand the heavy favouritism. Perhaps Arvidsson is favoured because of a decent performance at Roland Garros, but I don't see why that would take precedence over Zanetti beating Schnyder(10th seed) in the first round.

Again, stats are similar, with 11 and 12 unforced errors in the first round(although Zanetti played three sets v Schnyder, Arvidsson just 2 v Perebiynis.) Arvidsson served at 63%, with Zanetti at 77%, and Zanetti only lost the one set on a tie break. Put huge pressure on the Schnyder serve forcing 17 break points, so all in all, I don't see anything to strongly favour Arvidsson here. I'd say it just boils down to who is better on the day.

I placed a bet on Davydenko to win with Corals. Leading 1-0 in sets he has just retired. Has anyone experienced tennis bets with Coral and know if it will be voided or if they will count it as a loss?

Poor show Kiko...I'm not up with Coral T+C but I would have expected that to be a void bet. Always good to vent your spleen in an email though

Our Trading Department respectfully refer you to the tennis section of our Terms and Conditions (accessed via the Help menu), whch states the following (same as Ladbrokes):

"In match / Live (in running) betting, the player progressing to the next round will be deemed the winner, providing the umpire has called play to begin. If the match fails to start (i.e. the umpire does not call 'play') then bets will be void".

Bunch of cocks - will never place another bet on tennis with them again. I could guarentee if it had been the other way around they wouldve voided my bet and giving me the money back!

Gutted aswell - i had £20 treble and other 2 came off aswell. Pricks they are!
