Have taken a small interest on Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez to win the 4th quarter @ 25/1 (and an even smaller interest in the outright @ 500/1).

4th quarter looks the weakest to me, with injuries or indifferent form affecting all of the top seeds in recent times - Safina, Sharapova, Jankovic, Bartoli. If there's going to be a surprise contender from anywhere in this draw, I'd fancy it to be in this quarter.

I ain't backed on the outright yet, I'm liking davydenko at the minute and as an interest bet think I'll whack an e/w bet on John Isner can't go wrong at 200/1

More value at the ladies:

Benesova to beat Kai-Chen Chang @1.8 - 4 pts.
Can't understand that price, indeed. If Benesova have had some reasonable recent form probably she'd have been @1.2 - 1.3.

Shvedova to beat Date Krumm @2.25 - 8 pts
Great value here. The Japanese is overrated due to her recent achievements and she is still a very good player but powerful Shvedova should be able to neutralise her weapons and put big pressure on the old lady.

Voskoboeva to beat Pironkova @2.62 - 5pts
The Bulgarian is totally out of sorts recently, she is about to lose her top 100 place and unfortunately I can't see things improving. Of course, she is always capable of playing some good match, but I have to try this price for Voskoboeva.

Hradecka to beat Peer @6 - 1pt
A speculative bet here, but I don't think Peer is that big favourite. If Hradecka finds her game she could keep things really close and make Peer bottle it.

Hmm, she wins her first match 6-0 6-0, two of the favourites in that quarter in Sharapova and Cibulkova are knocked out first round, and she's now out to 40/1 to win the 4th quarter, yet her price to win outright has stayed at 300/1 (as it has been since just before the first round)

Topped up a little bit at 40/1.
