Re: The Tennis Thread - 2010
Will probably have several more when I see the prices available at betfair.

Re: The Tennis Thread - 2010
And will start with two Pattaya City doubles (wasn't Komp just there?).
Date Krumm + Mirza @2.03 - 3 pts, Expekt Goerges + Shvedova @2.36 - 8 pts, Expekt - if this one doesn't come in I'll jump out of the office window (it's the 1st floor though) BTW excellent prices from the Austrians on these tennis games And a Pattaya single: Tanasugarn to beat Lisicki @3.2 - 5 pts |

Re: The Tennis Thread - 2010
Georges loses to Karatancheva in straight sets, which seemed literally impossible to me before the game start, so I'll have a small break from tennis.
At least Tanasugarn won the first set against Lisicki which gives me good opportunity for some trading and recovering from the losses. |

Re: The Tennis Thread - 2010
Can't stay away from one game today and it's Davydenko v Melzer.
I strongly fancy the chances of the Austrian here. OK, it's really hard to oppose Davy at the moment, especially if we remember his indoor performances from the end of last season. But I expect him to choke and slip at some moment. But the main reason I'll side with Melzer is that he's is doing great recently. I watched him yesterday against Seppi - he was nearly perfect and fended off all challenges Seppi brought him to. Of course he should improve his game further to meet Davydenko here and I expect this to happen. So, the price is huge in my eyes. Melzer @8 - 5 pts Lay Davydenko 2-0 @1.49 - to win 10 pts Melzer +5 games @1.9 - 9 pts (covering with a tie @6 - 4.5 pts) - this at bet 365. 23.4 pts staked, let's see what will be the return. |

Re: The Tennis Thread - 2010
Will go for Benesova to beat Govortsova @2.12 - 7pts
In the morning when the price for Benesova was about 1.94 I though it was a good price, now I'm glad to take higher one. Both players are out of sorts, but Benesova is no doubt the better player. She should come back on track rather sooner than later, so I expect her to win with something to spare here. |

Re: The Tennis Thread - 2010
Had some break after a series of shittey results.
Today's coupon is far from impressive, but still, here's what I fancy: Ventura to beat Ferrero @6.4 - 2 pts - Ferrero could be vulnerable here after a decent quantity of tennis games played in a short period. Of course that's not the only reason I'll back Ventura - he is very dangerous clay courter and could have a big game in him. |

Re: The Tennis Thread - 2010
Isner v Karlovic - what a game this is expected to be
- some that I definitely wouldn't like to watch if I was only a tennis fan. Although both giants raised their game significantly during the last season and the start of this one. Isner could have a bit better record according to tiebreaks, but I fancy the chances of the Croat. Isner was lucky to eliminate Nieminen the other day, but if he performs in the same way today he'll be beaten. I'm glad to take a price close to evens for Karlo and hopefully trade off...Karlovic @1.99 - 5 pts |

Re: The Tennis Thread - 2010
Gulbis to beat Berdych @2.62 - 6 pts - pure value here - nothing but a 50-50 match in my eyes. Both players could be brilliant on a good day and both could bottle after a series of mistakes. But I really think Gulbis could outshoot Berdych here - the Latvian is underachieving recently and this won't last long.
