Federer :(
Who would have thought that Federer will be kicked out by his compatriote Wawrinka in the last sixteen in Monte-Carlo? What's the matter with him?
![]() Apparently, his times are definitely over! I expected him to come back and complete the 14 Grand Slams Pete Sampra's got... |

Re: Federer :(
I think it all started with his illness at the end of 2007. It's very, very difficult to fully recover from such an illness and although he looks in fairly good shape now I reckon it has affected him psychologically. He makes so many mistakes now that... I don't know...
I remember how he broke his racket in USA several weeks ago, haven't seen him doing something like this before. The only think we can do is sit and wait and hope he could find his old form somehow... He'll be a father in the summer, maybe this will be it |

Re: Federer :(
Mononucleosis, very unpleasant blood decease. It also affected the career of Ancic.
Here's a quote: "In March 2008, Federer revealed that he had recently been diagnosed with mononucleosis and that he may have suffered from it as early as December 2007. Federer also had an illness related to food poisoning prior to the start of the Australian Open. He noted, however, that he was now "medically cleared to compete" In that aspect his performance last year was pretty decent, but I'm more concerned of this year's situation about him. |

Re: Federer :(
Federer is not out of form. federer is the best of record, and he is still good, there are new upcoming stars, and they deserve to be there, because they are good. but I still love federer.

Re: Federer :(
I believe the problem is in his head. He still plays great tennis but can't keep it for a whole match against the big ones. Don't know why his mentality changed that way. I still believe he's able to give Nadal a performance on clay and will wait with interest for the Madrid masters and Rolland Garros.

Re: Federer :(
The problem was in his head!
But the French Open victory was completely liberating. Have u seen it? Amazing performances. And now Wimbledon, I think he's gonna make it! It's so great he's back.
