Re: Tennis week 09.06./15.06.2008 (WTA + ATP)
hello komp, and all nice people living in this forum
one BIG tip from my self Halle third round Federer @1.10 v Baghdatis @8.5 here i go with baggy to win boys i have reasons to support my idea : 1. Federer is on downtrend, with all the respect to number one of the world, he was like a dead body, and nothing else in roland garros final 2.Baghdatis, under the orders of Peter Lungreen is different player; a lot of changes in his game, massive grass elements, reminds a little the wimbledon 2006 player, a little bit 3.Lundgreen, the spiritual father of federer, or the "creator" of federer, has the mental strength to affect his creation, -remind you the aussie open final 2005 with marat safin- 4. baghdatis is rising his game under lundgreen, he is very impressive in some moments, a hungry tiger indeed i expect a tight game, and if luck pushes baggy, then he will win small stakes ![]() p.s i watch the halle, i prefer this tournament than euro2008 LOL is truth anyway |

Re: Tennis week 09.06./15.06.2008 (WTA + ATP)
Hewitt tb Djokovic @ 2.9 2pts
Hewitt has a fantastic record in this tournament (won it in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2006, made semis in 2004), and on grass in general. Has met Djokovic once on grass (Wimbledon last year), Djokovic won in 4 sets, but all 3 sets Djokovic won were on tie-breaks. Djokovic rightly favourite, but looks a decent price on Hewitt. Karlovic tb Nadal @ 2.76 2pts Doesn't really matter who he's up against, with a serve like Karlovic's on grass, he's capable of pushing anyone right to the limits. Has only faced 1 break point in 2 matches so far this week, and lost just 4 points on his serve in the entire match yesterday against Gonzalez. Llodra tb Kiefer @ 2.12 4pts Llodra loves this surface, plays an excellent serve-volley game, and hasn't had his serve broken yet this week. Kiefer looks far more vulnerable on serve this week (broken once v Haase and 3 times v Youzhny), and that could just make the difference here. Erakovic tb A Bondarenko @ 1.85 4pts Going against Engineer here. Bondarenko's grass court record nothing special, and her record here this week isn't overly impressive either, dropping a set to Ruano Pascual (who's lost more games than she's won on grass) and then having to come back from a set down against world no. 160 Sunitha Rao. Erakovic, on the other hand, is in superb form on grass, having won the Surbiton ITF event last week and cruising through the first 3 rounds here without dropping a set, making it 9 wins in a row for her now, losing just one set in that time. She's been broken just 4 times in her 3 matches so far, as opposed to 12 times that Bondarenko has been broken in her 2 matches. Erakovic a worthy favourite for me. |

Then on the clay in Barcelona:
Lay Cohen Aloro v Ivanova @ 1.42 to win 4pts Lay Cohen Aloro 2-0 v Ivanova @ 2.1, liability 3pts Can't see C-A as such a big favourite here. Some decent results this week, but always liable to throw in the odd defeat to lower ranked players (Besser, Woerle and Thyssen just a few recent examples). Happy to take her on here at those kind of prices. Llagostera Vives tb Errani @ 1.64 4pts Llagostera Vives 2-0 v Errani @ 2.53 2pts Llagostera in impressive form so far this week, seeing off top seed Peer in straight sets in the first round, and then dropping just 3 games against young compatriot De Andres in the 2nd round. These 2 have met twice before, in successive weeks in February of this year, with Llagostera taking the first 6-2 6-0, and the second 7-5 6-1. Throw in the home advantage for Llagostera, and it looks a decent enough shout. Am also looking along similar lines to Engineer concerning Granollers, although I'd prefer to lay 2-0 Monaco rather than back Granollers outright, trying to get matched at a decent price there though. Good luck today Engineer (apart from Bondarenko ) and Martens |

Re: Tennis week 09.06./15.06.2008 (WTA + ATP)
Nadal starting to get his nose in front. 4/7 now. Long way to go though. I aint a big tennis bettor as you will all know but i love the way the games get scored and how one bad shot can turn a game etc. It must be oneof the most exciting sports to have a bet on.. The big man's lanky body is starting to get heavy for him to move about. Some serve and scope behind him. He's really hammering in these serves. Come on Nadal break his serve. Bah. bah and blast. That serve is a powerfull weapon

Re: Tennis week 09.06./15.06.2008 (WTA + ATP)
Pretty shit day for me. Hewitt never threatened, Karlovic ran Nadal close but not quite close enough, got lucky with Llodra retiring in the first set when 4-0 down, so got the stake refunded there, and Granollers and Ivanova both went down in straight sets. Only Erakovic and Llagostera Vives (although unfortunately not in straight sets
) came in.Anyway, I'm off for the next week, but will be back just in time for Wimbledon, and hopefully won't be picking up from where I've left off . Good luck with Nottingham/ s'Hertogenbosch for those betting |

Re: Tennis week 09.06./15.06.2008 (WTA + ATP)
Very interesting finals today:
Davydenko shouldn't be that short against Robredo. h2h on clay is 2:2 and the Spaniard won their last meeting in Rome in a marathon... Today it should be another close affair and the players have one eye on the grass courts, so it could go either way. Still I can see Robredo being more motivated and I'll gladly take that huge price. Robredo @3.15 - 5.5 pts A small punt on the young Belgian Wickmayer who proved she's great grass courter and no way K. Bondarenko should be favourite today. Wickmayer @2.30 - 1.5 pts Kirilenko should see off this M. Sanches, ranked no.140 in the world, but it could go closer than expected and I'm not etting involved there. Federrer v Kohlschreiber should be an interesting one. Fed is being impressive this week and obviously French Open is well behind him. But the German is flying also and will give him a performance. I'd rather go for Philip + some handicap, but now I'll try his chances to nick a set: Lay Federrer 2:0 @1.31 - liab 4 pts And Nadal - Djokovic will be a cracker, no doubt. The Serb will be extremely motivated to win this clash, especially after the two recent clay defeats... But this could bring him problems as Nadal will fight as he can and Djoko could lose his nerves eventually. Definitely a 50:50 game, so I'll take that nice price for Nadal Nadal @2.30 - 4 pts |
