Re: Sony Ericsson Open, Miami (WTA + ATP)
Yesterday was a day to forget about - tennis betting wise.
All four games went tits up after a nice start for most of them. Today's matches are just about to begin, here are my fancies: Hanescu to beat Troicki @2.24 - 1.5 pts Cornet to beat Paszek @2.20 - 5 pts, great value! Llodra to beat Melzer @2.06 - 3 pts Voskoboeva to beat Zheng @2.16 - 7 pts, great value also! Also considered to lay Fish after his heroic efforts last week, but Clement is in too shittie form now, can't be trusted in a singles game. |

Re: Sony Ericsson Open, Miami (WTA + ATP)
to bet on tennis events, proved to be the most easy way to lose money
if somebody comes and tell me that he makes profit after betting or trading on tennis, i am sorry but i will not take it.. it is a "you never know " kind of sport, everything depends on every individual player's mood, condition, health, and many other parametres, that shouldnt have knowledge of their existence, any of us bettors ,this is a completely blind bet imo, however, sometimes, with the correct information, you may shot one and make profit, but that is rather the exception of the law i am afraid see you ![]() |

There's very often value to be had in backing the underdogs.Anyway, a couple for me today. Starting off with a copy and paste from a post I made in the Indian Wells thread:
Venus 2-0 @ 1.85 4pts Venus -4.5 games @ 1.833 2pts I know I've said a few times how I think Peer is over-rated, but I still think she's worth a shot today. We've already seen 3 of the 4 finalists from Indian Wells going out early (Djokovic, Fish and Ivanovic), Kuznetsova is the only one left, and she's struggled this week, losing a set to Chan in the first round and saving a match point against Azarenka who appeared to choke badly, losing 10 games in a row H2H is 2-2, with the hard court meetings being 2-1 to Peer, all since 2007.Lay Kuznetsova @ 1.48, liability 2pts Lastly, Sela to beat Acasuso. Seem to be swimming against the tide somewhat with this bet, most places I've looked at people seem to be backing Acasuso, but I really can't justify Acasuso being favourite for this one. He's got a 26-42 record on hard courts, and while he may have had a decent result last round beating Hewitt, Sela has also done well, getting past H-T Lee who must've been high on confidence after a good run at Indian Wells, and the out-of-form Robredo, both in straight sets. He's 49-19 on hard courts for the past year (albeit mainly at Challenger level), but I'd have him much shorter than the price on offer. Sela @ 2.45 2pts Now, after telling Martens it is possible to make a profit on tennis betting, watch as all three bets lose in style ![]() |

Re: Sony Ericsson Open, Miami (WTA + ATP)
Sorry, RC, hopefully it wasn't me that jinxed both these...
Good luck with Venus though. Now have some time at home, the wife bolted to the gym and the baby fell asleep, so I'll take a short investigation at the fixtures. |

Re: Sony Ericsson Open, Miami (WTA + ATP)
Not many games left for that night, so I'll be going for some nicew value shots, as the games look well leveled to me.
Only my bet365 account is healthy enough at the moment so I'll be placing my bets there. Almagro to beat Youzhny @2.62 - 2pts Tipsarevic to beat Johansson @1.83 - 3pts Sugiyama to beat Zvonareva @3.50 - 2pts |

Re: Sony Ericsson Open, Miami (WTA + ATP)
Nice call on Tipsy engineer and unlucky with Almagro - serving it out at 6-5 final set and deuce, and then this happens...
Youznhy batters his face with his racket, has to stop cos the blood starts running down his face, injury timeout, and then comes back after the doc patches him up and breaks back, before winning the tiebreak. Hilarious stuff ![]() |

Re: Sony Ericsson Open, Miami (WTA + ATP)
That was pretty strange stuff there from Youzhny
![]() Yesterday pretty much typical of my tennis betting this season, scraping a profit but nothing much more. Only one for today: Nadal v Mathieu over 20.5 games @ 1.833 (sporting odds) 6pts These two have met 7 times, and Nadal has won all 7 of them (although the most recent one was by a 2nd set retirement). However, all 6 of their completed matches have gone over 20.5 games (one of them was in a grand slam, but even if it had been best of 3 sets it would still have gone overs). Mathieu has managed to take the first set in each of the last 3 completed matches, and in the other 3 he at least managed to drag one set to 7-5, losing the other 6-4. |

H2H is 2-2, with the hard court meetings being 2-1 to Peer, all since 2007.
