Tennis 18-24 February (ATP: Buenos Aires, Rotterdam, San Jose; WTA: Doha, Bogota)
No time for anything other than starting the thread and posting a few quick thoughts this morning.
In Rotterdam, think even Berrer in the poor form he's in should have too much for Bachinger, have gone for Berrer 2-0. In San Jose, not sure Serra should be the outsider against Isner, will likely be backing him. Also like the look of Garcia Lopez and, as a long shot, Capdeville. In Buenos Aires, obviously Nalbandian is favourite against Luczak, but 1.1 (Betfair) does seem very, very short. For the women, in Doha, have laid Bammer, who's in terrible form. Admittedly her opponent Nakamura is in pretty bad form herself, but with the form Bammer's in, there's no way I'd make her a 1.3 shot. Also interested in Niculescu, Cibulkova and Medina Garrigues, but no bets placed there as yet. Nothing of interest for me in Bogota today. |

Re: Tennis 18-24 February (ATP: Buenos Aires, Rotterdam, San Jose; WTA: Doha, Bogota)
Sorry guys. The baby is moving into my office (to dribble and poo rather than work
!) and I need a new connection at home. I should be up an running at full steam later this week. Although given last week a break would do no harm. |

Well any advice you can give on coping with dribbling, pooing babies in the office while trying to place tennis bets will come in useful, Wittmann. It seems I may need it myself in around 7 months from now

Congratulations!
Ours hasn’t arrived quite yet but we’re getting the room ready as there is no way we’ll have the time after. Not sure how I’m going to fit everything in. They sleep for the first 4 to 6 months I’m told but after that our sleep pattern will get shot to hell. I can picture it now – bottle and baby in one hand while I’m watching a live streaming match from Asia on the laptop . |

Congratulations to you too in that case
![]() If this doesn't bring in new posters, I don't know what will - "Posting in the TDP tennis forum is statistically proven to increase your chances of becoming a father" ![]() First bet of the day in as Berrer comfortably sees off Bachinger in straight sets. |

Hantuchova's withdrawn from Doha, should anyone be tempted to back her like I did this morning

Well, I'm being a veteran in that aspect then, my baby is nearly 5 months old now and me and my wife are intending to make her a tennis player, although both of us aren't much of a tennis players Hope everything is OK, of course ![]() Congratulations to both RC and Wittmann, I can give some advices obviously, but maybe we should open a new thread about it ![]() Sorry to hear about RC's decision about modding also, but we'll discuss it in the right place, not here. By the way, now I'm posting more than ever in TDP, so don't both of you think it will be impossible to do so after the baby has come. And maybe we should talk about some tennis betting later, be back in a while... ![]() |

Only one for today, but strong bet in my eyes, starting in a while:
Shvedova to beat Zheng @2.40 - 5pts Last edited by engineer : 18-02-2008 at 15:26. |

Re: Tennis 18-24 February (ATP: Buenos Aires, Rotterdam, San Jose; WTA: Doha, Bogota)
I think something is wrong with the odds for that game, Shvedova can't be underdog here
![]() Maybe there is something I'm missing, but I'll put some more on that bet - 2 more pts, totally 7 pts on Shvedova. ![]() |

Re: Tennis 18-24 February (ATP: Buenos Aires, Rotterdam, San Jose; WTA: Doha, Bogota)
Yes, I should be missing something, the price for Shvedova was drifting steadily to 2.84, now back to 2.74, but something is going on obviously. Still I see this as a great bet, no way the Russian should be that overpriced.

OK, Shvedova won the 1st set and can be laid at 1.80 now (still too high price in my eyes). I'm off from work now, will stick to Betfair mobile in the car, hope for a good profit from that one

Shvedova scared me a bit, but dominated the 3rd set 6:1
![]() ![]() ![]() My largest bet for long time and a nice winner ... More to come tomorrow... Good luck if anybody goes for it during the night |
