WTA Sonny Ericsson Championships, Madrid

Sony Ericsson Championships, Madrid, Spain

Here they are...

Justine Henin1.66
Serena Williams6.50
Ana Ivanovic10.00
Svetlana Kuznetsova10.00
Maria Sharapova11.00
Jelena Jankovic13.00
Daniela Hantuchova26.00
Anna Chakvetadze51.00

Odds from bet 365, couldn't paste Betfair's.

Let alone Henin, but Hantuchova showed good form recently and I could take a bit of her price since Betfair offers 60 at the moment, it can go even higher later.

What's your opinion, Ladies and Gents?

Re: WTA Sonny Ericsson Championships, Madrid

OK, Serena's out , Bartoli's in

Maybe Henin's gonna try to give the French a spanking for Wibledon's semi.

I'm interested only in Kuznetsova v Sharapova. Sharapova won her first match surprisingly for me, but obviously Hantuchova is not capable of producing anything special. Kuznetsova showed good tennis, but Ivanovic prevailed in the end. From what I've seen i don't think Sharapova should be a favourite today. We know that the feelings between these two aren't quite friendly. I want Sharapova to win it, but I think that Kuznetsova can outplay her and win, even 2:0 is possible.
So - Kuznetsova @2.05 - 2 pts.

Jankovic v Chakvetadze will be a strange match maybe. Chakvetadze still looks like a tryer and got lucky yesterday against Williams. On the other hand Jankovic played awful and obviously she's got too much tennis that year. Yet I see her as a favourite, but I'll go for breaks in play. Both of them had difficulties to hold serve and there can be some good in-running winners.

Re: WTA Sonny Ericsson Championships, Madrid

At the time I thought it odd when Venus went out east to win some cheap points in some very ordinary tournaments merely in order to crawl into the line up for Madrid.
A kind of justice that she couldnīt make it but Serena did take her place knowing full well she was crocked. Why deprive somene else of a place?
Null point, Serena. Not even for allowing Bartoli to walk into a barn door of a Belgian with little chance of showing what she can do further in the competition.
