Austria's Stefan Koubek has been thrown out of the Moselle Open after a heated dispute with the tournament supervisor.
He was leading Sebastien Grosjean 5-7 7-6 4-2 when the umpire ordered a point won by Koubek for 0-15 to be replayed.
"He asked for my intervention, but did not accept the rules and used strong language - I told him the match was over," said supervisor Thomas Karlberg.
Koubek was also disqualified during the 2000 French Open and in qualification for the Paris Open in 2003.
Grosjean now faces top seed Tommy Robredo of Spain in the quarter-finals.

I actually backed Grosjen here so was delighted to catch this sweet break. Its not explained very well up there but Grosjean was serving when the incident occured. The linesman called the point in and when Grosjean (playing in France) protsted the umpire Steiner overruled the linesman which prompted a burst of colorful swearing from Koubk. The match was beig shown on French TV but the camera swung away from the conforntation unfortunately

.
It seems a bizarre way to go out and a bizarre point for Koubek to go out on. If he gives in it is a replayed point still at 0-15. He still has a break with serve even if he loses the game

He was I read banned in 2000 for bunging a racket at a ball boy during the French Open. Throw in the drugs bust and he is a more interesting character than I have given him credit for.
