I'm not so sure of that, she seemed pretty shaky against Schnyder yesterday. I was vaguely following it via the live scoreboard, and Hantuchova had three match points in the second set, wasted them all and lost the set, then was serving at 5-4 in the deciding set, went 40-0 up and wasted those three match points as well. Eventually ended up winning it, but made very hard work of it.

Schynder played some great tennis yesterday RC. She saved 4 or 5 match points with some fantstatic shots. It was a real high quality game.

Hantchova well on top here and playing with real confidence - Bartoli's body languge is terrible. She's also being a grade A 1 bitch to one of the umpires who made a call she didn't like. Every time I see her playing I like her less and less. She's an unpleasant woman to say the least.

Mixed bag again today. Verdasco should have won but squandered his opportunities. Schuettler went ahead in the first but having got caught and pegged back never looked a winner. I watched the Hantchova match and she was very impressive although how much is due to Bartoli’s poor attitude is a open to question.

Update tomorrow

Bangkok

Tursonov-Becker

Verdacso only took 2 of his 10 bps against Tursonov and lost as the Russian took his. Becker shocked Berdych to set up a third meeting with the big hitting Russian. He has lost the last two most recently in the Ukraine last year when he went down in two. Becker is coming f a major slump and it would be a big shock if he pulled of a win tomorrow – Tursonov has an excellent career record in finals (W11 L4 overall and W5 L2 in ATP events). Becker is a less impressive W5 L4 and this is his first ATP event final – he has incidentally lost both finals he contested against higher ranked players (Tursonov and Del Potro). Becker’s serve should keep him competitive and he might nick a set but the Russian has a far superior all round game and should add to the three titles he has won already this year.

2.50 Units Tursonov @ 1.46

Mumbai

Gasquet-Rochus

This looks a big mismatch here. Gasquet has been in super form all week and has been only broken once. Rochus has had what can only de described as an easy draw to get here – an easy SF against yesterday’s man SF and a retirement from Kiefer in the QF ensured the pocket rocket of his first ATP final since Munich 2006 when he got a dream final win against a dire Vliegen. The h to h is 1 apiece but the form is old and Gasquet is a different player now then their last 04 meeting which he won comfortably. Rochus will run for everything but his serve is one of the weakest on the tour and against a solid returner like Gasquet that should prove fatal.

Gasquet 2-0 1.75 units @ 1.61

Luxembourg

Hantchova-Ivanovic

Two very impressive performances by both finalists in their respective SFs and I feel that Ivanovic is slightly underpriced her against a player who easily beat her (admittedly on grass) during the summer. Indoor suits the Serb’s power game better but if Hantchova can find the lines like she did today then she run Ivanovic close.

Lay Ivanovic 2-0 @ Evs 1 Unit Risked

Re: Tennis 24th - 29th Sept (ATP Mumbai & Bangkok, WTA Luxembourg, Seoul and Gungzaha

3 from 3 helps today me into the green and reverse 2 weeks of losses since the US Open. A very disappointing 6th straight week of losses in the WTA although it was fairly minimal this week. 5 winning ATP weeks from the last 6.

I’m glad to finish ahead but felt that I should have been a lot more up given some shitty breaks earlier in the week with voided bets.

I’m going to post my year to date (well since I started posting here in May anyway) as well at the end of every week. Still well ahead for the year an goal to increase my bank by 50% still on.
