WTA 23rd -29th July - Clay Austria & Hardcourt Standford
Stanford (Hardcourt)
Bank of the West Classic Bad Gastein (Clay) Couldn't actually find a website for the event in Bad Gastein - its a small new event in the calender and the first main WTA tour event in Austria for a long time. Very weak looking field and with some of the seeds out of form expect some shocks/ |

Re: WTA 23rd -29th July - Clay Austria & Hardcourt Standford
Solid 3 set win for Gallovits at heavy odds against to come from behind to keep up an excellent WTA run I have been for the last few weeks. One or two tasty looking WTA bets at Stanford tonight.
Poutchokva-Srebotnik Massive price on Poutchokva tonight IMO – due entirely to her wretched form during the clay and grass season - W3 L7 on grass and clay this year. Hardcourt is her best surface however and while she has been poor on hardcourt this year she went 24-8 last year and made 4 finals (2 Challengers). Among the scalps were Jankovic, Mirza, Kostanic and Ivanovic. She hasn’t become a bad player overnight. Srebotnik has hardly covered herself with glory either as a W17 L15 record shows – she has suffered hardcourt defeats to some very average players. Lay Srebotnik @ 1.28 (0.75 Units Risked) 0.25 Units Srebotnik 2-1 @ 4.6 (Avg) Craybas-Osterloh The two Yanks have shared 4 games between themselves with Osterloh winning the sole outdoor game. This looks an even game to me. Form for the year favors Osterloh and Craybas was very poor in her last outing in Cincinatti.Osterloh was slightly better going out to semi finalist Amamurdova in the QF. A 50 : 50 game – value with the dog here. 1Unit Osterloh @ 2.36 |

Re: WTA 23rd -29th July - Clay Austria & Hardcourt Standford
Some good results yesterday to show a nice little profit on the day. Tonight I'll be backing two underdogs who I feel offer a little value.
Lay Bammer @ 1.47 vs Sugiyama (1 Unit Risked) 1 Unit Shevdova to beat Vakulenko @ 2.96 |

Re: WTA 23rd -29th July - Clay Austria & Hardcourt Standford
Shevdova a break up in the final set. Should have been two. Have hedged my stake at long odds when she was 3-0 up but hopefully she can close it out. I need some relief from the hammering the men are giving me
.A final Stanford bet for tonight. Morigami-Mirza Both are coming of execllent runs ins Cincinatti. Mirza made the SF and Morigami the final. Both were beaten by Chekevatdze en route to her winning but Moriagmi got demolisghed while Mirz lost a tight 3 setter. Morigamo has won 2 of the 3 meetings but I've never fancied her as a player and hardcourt kis definitely Mirzas best surface. Injury took her out of circulation for a while but I think she is on the road back. 1.25 Units Mirza @ 1.98 |

Re: WTA 23rd -29th July - Clay Austria & Hardcourt Standford
Pennetta loses a tight 3 setter. Full update tomorrow.
2 from Stanford Schynder-Shvedova Had a nice 3/1+ winner on Shvedova as she beat the inconsistent Vakulenko in 3 the last night. She lost the first but numerous errors and a collapse of her serve by Vakulenko let her back into it. Schynder was n a great run this time last year but has been inconsistent of late. Her Cicinatti blog suggested her confidence was high but she exited tamely to Morigami, a loss that she was unable to explain. She has a great record here with Final, SF and QF in the last 3 years. This is a big leap up for Shvedova and having played 4 matchs in the last 5 days she could feel the pinch. She has had a few injury issues aftre playing a succession of games this year and I think this might be one too far. 2 Units Schynder @ 1.37 Mirza-Golovin Golovin looks too short here at 1.42 - she has beaten Mirza twice in straight sets on hardcourt but Mirza has hit some form after her injury woes making the SF in Cincinatti last week and putting the finalist Morigami out here in the first round. Fatigue might play a part but I'll take my chances at the prices. Lay Golovin @ 1.42 (0.75 Units Risked) Golovin 2-1 @ 4.15 (Avg) 0.25 Units |

Excellent couple of days with the ladies
1.75 Units Pennetta @ 1.69 -1 Unit2 Units Schynder @ 1.37 +0.70 UnitsLay Golovin @ 1.42 (0.75 Units Risked) +1.70 UnitsGolovin 2-1 @ 4.15 (Avg) 0.25 Units -0.25 UnitsWTA Event Staked 12.75 Units WTA Event Profit +4.98 Units ATP Event Staked 35.25 Units ATP Event Loss -3.10 Units 3 from Austria Lino Dominguez – Meusburger First WTA QF for Meusburger playing at home so the edge in experience very much with Lino who has been in 9 (W 4 L 5). Similar type of results this year but I’d rate Linos two wins here (over Salierni and Malek) as better than Meusburgers. At slight odds against she gets my shout. 1.25 Units Lino @ 2.02 Schiavone-Sazay Sazay made her WTA breakthrough last week following her ITF win in Zagreb with a win in Palermo. She leads the H to H 2-0 (both comfortable on clay) but I feel she is very very short here against a player of Schiavone’s experience who has beaten some big guns on clay. Schiavone has a poor record at the QF stage of clay events (W2 L11) but she has competed on the full tour for most of her career and I’m going to chance small stakes on her here. 0.75 Units Schiavone @ 2.66 Sanchez-Knapp Knapp looks very under-priced here. They met twice in 2006 and shared the games (both clay) – both went to 3 sets. Sanchez’s career stalled a bit this year with injury problems but she has come through qualifying impressively here to shock Groenfeld in the second round. Knapp made the SF in Palermo and in Biella prior to that bt shes played a lot of tennis this month and against a player who has run her close in both meetings I’d want more than 1.40. Lay Knapp @ 1.40 (0.75 Units Risked) 0.25 Units Knapp 2-1 @ 4.15 (Avg) |

Re: WTA 23rd -29th July - Clay Austria & Hardcourt Standford
Stand still today. Schiavone wins at odds against, Sanchez shuld have but ran out of steam.Lino loses.
1 bet from the Stanford QF Hantchova-Govortosova 2 Units Hantchova & 1.37 Govortosova having a great run for the last two weeks but Hantchova rarely fails at these odds (W8 L1) and with Govortosova coming through qualifiers you'd have to fancy fatigue as an issue. Hantchova won in 4 & 2 on grass baxck in June and is having her best year since 2001 in terms of W L rations |
