Re: Tennis 7-13 May (ATP Rome, WTA Berlin and Prague)

Wouldn't rule out Volandri taking a set off of Gasquet, Rene. I don't get to watch tennis as often as I'd like, but whenever I have seen Gasquet play, he's never really impressed me all that much. Maybe I've just been unlucky and seen him on a few off-days or something? He's certainly in good form at the moment though, 8-2 for his last 10 matches. Guess home advantage may give Volandri a boost like you say. Tough one to call though, can't really see Gasquet slipping up, but difficult to say whether Volandri might nick a set.

Having said that, I wouldn't take much notice of me, I'm having a terrible week

Re: Tennis 7-13 May (ATP Rome, WTA Berlin and Prague)

I'm at home watching the tennis at the moment and have had an interest bet on Volandri. He's at home in front of a fierecly partisan crowd and Gasquet has played a lot of tennis in the last few weeks. Will take the 2.9 on BF as it looks too big.

Roddick played very well to beat Gaudio. Lot more variety than he usually shows on clay. Probably won't trouble the big guns but he will be more competitive than he usually is on the red stuff.Gaudio was dire first set but came back into it in then second. Weird mix of gthe brilliant and the awful.

Gasquet - Volandri
4-6;7-6;3-4 at the moment

The 3 Set punt was right and Volandri has a good chance to win here....

I'm going terribly at the moment on the match betting, I'm leaving it for now unless anything really screams out to me to be backed.

Chakvetadze out of the Berlin event too, but Chela's through for me in Rome, hopefully Ferrero will follow him through tonight

Re: Tennis 7-13 May (ATP Rome, WTA Berlin and Prague)

The Volandri - Gasquet match was pretty poor. Lots of UEs by both players. Gasquet has medical attention a few times (possibly dehydration) and Volandri still made hard work of it, choking on a number of occasions. I was all set to oppose Volandri next round when I see he will be playing Federer.

2 from 2 so far today. Have put some more on Ferrero. Looked back at the previous prices he was when playing Starace and no bigger than 1.6 which makes the close to Evens today an even better price IMO.

No chance to bet on it built. Never know that the ATP have a station in Dresden .. But I looked to german bookers and no booker offers some odds for the todays meetings there.

Here´s the official site: http://www.atpdresden.com/atpdd/

But the site is in german only,if I seen it right.

But I saw that some better players are in. Dick Norman,Rainer Schüttler,Florian Meyer and Björn Phau... not bad.

Re: Tennis 7-13 May (ATP Rome, WTA Berlin and Prague)

rene Schüttler lost today 2:0 so that was some kind of suprice but I still beleive that F. Mayer goes in final this week.
About ATP tournaments this week:
Djokovic is one of my favourite tennis players but he plays tommorow against Baghdatis who's in great form and he had 19:9 score this year. Also he is tipical clay player so it will be very difficult for Djokovic to win this match so maybe I will try to bet on 2:1 for Djokovic but we will see about that.
Kuznetsova is in great form and I only see her win tommorow. I bet on Kuznetsova 2:0.

12:15 PM Dinara Safina (RUS) 1.78
Lucie Safarova (CZE) 1.78

12:15 PM Jelena Jankovic (SRB) 1.10
Shuai Peng (CHN) 4.65

11:00 AM Ana Ivanovic (SRB) 1.28
Alona Bondarenko (UKR) 2.92
More tennis for tommorow

I was watching Ivanovic and she played excellent. She easy won 2:0 and she is in good form but on the other hand Bondarenko is also in good form and she won against few good players last weeks. For me, I think Ivanovic will win but it will be very hard. I will put her with handicap for low stake.
Cibulkova is very interesting for me. She is young but strong player. She likes clay courts and in first match she won 6:2 6:1 I think so I will put her tommorow.
All in all lot's of interesting matches tommorow but from me NO big stake

Re: Tennis 7-13 May (ATP Rome, WTA Berlin and Prague)

I never bet on chicken Tennis built... they´re to inconsistant imo

Roddick - Chela
uhh.. looks like a tight match but Roddick lead the H2H 6-1 versus Chela. They met only on Hard Court but I looked to the Tourneys this season and imo Chela isn´t more successful than Roddick on Clay.

- 3 Set match (2-1)
- Roddick win

Re: Tennis 7-13 May (ATP Rome, WTA Berlin and Prague)

Robredo - Simon
Robredo is the better one in my eyes here. The H2H is 1-1 but Robredo had the better performance this season and also on clay.
At last he lost in the semi final of Estroil versus the 5th in ranking Djokovic. He also finished Barcelona and Monte Carlo in R16.
Simon was out in round one in every of his last 2 Tourneys. In Valencia he was out in the second round. All of the 3 tourneys were clay tournaments ...

- Robredo to win
