If you want help doing the French and Spanish pages, let me know. Can't guarantee when I'll be able to fit it in, but I'll do it at some stage. Won't be perfect seeing as I'm neither French nor Spanish, but it'll be a damn sight better than anything you'd get from Google translations/Babelfish/etc.

For what its worth I used the "language" option the other day to translate the rugby thread into french.

It did to a certain extent but would have made little or no sense to a frenchspeaker. Hilarious actually, it translates literally which makes understanding it impossible.

Not being negative, just passing the info.

but it wasnt. Still its better than nowt and it's doing no harm i think thats's what we decided. Ive always tried to maintain that TDP is 'open source' snodser so always feel free to comment. Remember i just try my best to make the place as user friendly as i can. I need to be kept in check at times though. In a week's time i really do think that all thats left to do is start getting the forums busy with people

excellent Merlin and RC. Much appreciated the pair. Slick's gone and deleted the front page install would you belive Least it gives us a blank canavs to start again. lucky the blogs hadnt taken off. Im gonna reinvent the blogs Merlin as Websites. also front page contributers will have their own 'blog' which will look like TDP frontpage and melt seamlessly in they van log in and put their own banners up etc. Aye should be good. anyone that had an old blog then im sure slick will apologise. dlot forget folk im the one thats lost 6 moths worth of work and posting and stuff. fcuk im never gonna get this all done. still i have the will

I see your main page is back now, and the key words on the current page are MUCH better...

One thing though Komp, ... The keyword Komp is there 10 times ... obviously that's due to the blog comments...

It's obvious that your front page content will change from time to time, and that's good for seo... BUT, YOU DO NEED A PERCENTAGE OF STATIC KEYWORD CONTENT TOO -

Try and educate your bloggers, to put juicy key words in their titles, the bits that will come through to the main page...


As an example, your current page would be cached with these main keywords:

betting - 38 - 4.88%
poker - 26 - 3.34%
football - 16 - 2.06%
forum - 13 - 1.67%
komp - 10 - 1.29%
league - 8 - 1.03%
blogs - 8 - 1.03%
daily - 7 - 0.90%
latest - 7 - 0.90%
punt - 6 - 0.77%

PS: Notice you only got 201 URL's , much better than the 300 or so you had...you can still cut it down a touch though....not by much...

Truth be told Merlin i went to bed as i had been on the go since 6am this morning. I couldnt leave the frontpage the way it was though. The frontpage we had blew up funnily enough just about the time slick blew things up nah it was well before but it could have been related. Im gonna grab a coffee and gt myself stuck into it the now. i want to give up drinking but im feeling particuarly pained and torremented at the mo due to family probs so i mmight try and stay up for Spar at 8am. I havent even considered what i am gonna do next wednesday when i have to move out my flat. I'll sort it out though just like this frontpage.

we dont have any bloggers Aye im trying to stop betting bloggers from now on. Lost a few good posters to the blogs and then they were never seen again. Actually ive got a link that might encourage folks ill go post. need to rethink the whole tDP sites. I'll get that review of errrrrr Horse Racing Forum done too. Good man Merlin thanks. Ive actually turned this forum off to non members too. It was when you were telling me some juicy stuff I could sit and chat about all this all night Merlin as i love it. I have to admit that websites and stuff has taken over my life. I play poker a lot but when ive got something to do like now websites wins hands down. Part my prob the last year finishng up TDP has been that i do just like looking for more and more new things and working out how they can be implemented etc. shit im tired. i'll roll a quick smoke and go and check out your tool (oooer) Merlin

ps i just realised that that download link is pretty crappy as i juts like it for ...errrr nothing at all Aye i appreciate all of this Merlin and anything we can do for you mate just ask.
