i fixed it

Well i should have done. Its working now for the new blog ive set up but not with MikeTV. I'll go and try and sort it Winrew. I dont want to start deleteing blogs incase it causes probs.

I'll use this blog as a test/demo area then seeing as its just as folks will see.

Winrew ive set up a user called test (password posted in my secret garden) that should get you in. We'll look at how to recover your user name Winrew. Right i'll go see what the next problem will be. I'll add Keem and Winrew's sites to the directory too. Dunno if we'll get a cookie problem between the blogs and the forum login slick. Be ok when we get the fireboard in as you can make people eternally logged in. they have to hs their hard drive with a sledgehammer to log it out

the gifs on Keemas skin are also none existant

What theme was it Slick/Keem? Search at portalise slick for wordpress. got about 400mb of them.

IE7 major prob i cant seem to edit the widgets in WIDGETS (click top right of the widget) I'll look to see if the same happensa n firefox later. Ill have a quick google search. It will be the xajax

I think it was 2cd dark grey, in fact i'm sure it was, best to try a different skin first as i cannot change anything as i cannot get into keema account.

Click BACKEND slick when in SITE ADMIN menu. that should let you into folks 'backends'. Im just going through a few themes i uploaded loads of themes there and plugins slick. starrting to come together. I stupidly added a global alexa thing to rocket our rankings but i think ive fcuked up. the most important things i can think of what we need is possibly that alexa thing and also a site wide google site map. we'll sort it in time though.

Nah it wont let me as you probably found Slick. thats good though as it truely does allow our memebrs pages to be truely indepent from us. dont forget folks i was running a Wordpress blog last year (kompressayr.com) I was getting 50,000+ hts a day. With the Stats Widget i added lets she who's blog gets the most visitors now. You all know i'll beat you all hands down

actually ive got no reason to try and get into Keem's blog as there is nothing wrong with it. If people need a hand with something technical then add USER to your blog and use admin@thedailypunt.com as the email invite. Make it Administrator level afterwards too.

ps the widget problem i mentioned earlier about IE7 might jst be me. If not then just double click the config part of the widget a few times for it to appear

Alright Komp, i've a wee problem and I haven't got the bloggiest idea how to fix it!

Applied for a blog on Monday and it said it would send me an activation link to my hotmail account. 2 days later and zilch. Am I suffering from a lack of patience or have I done something wrong?

Firstly George i'll go and make you up a new username and pasword to access your blog you can then create a new Administrator with a new name (FC BAsher for instance) and then delete the one i make for you. I'll post the details in the komp forum.

Chief...errrr i dont know what to make of it. Obviously Winrew and Basher got theirs and thats why we can see them so thats a diff prob. There's nothing in admin for you. I wont take the easy way out and make it myself as this would need to be addressed. Have you checked in your msn spam folder? Is it possible for you to try again with the same blog name Chief but with a differant email address? IWe'll sort something out Chief even if we have to make it. Let me go see admin for a bit.

I belive if you dont actiate your blog in 2 days Chief it just gets cancelled. I note that all the folks signed up already havent used a hotmail address. I'll look into it more but i would say that the email will be in your spamm. I'd like to offer some of our memebers TDP email addresses poss in the future and if its not going to cause a prob i probably will. Try another email address for now if you can Chief. Failing that post up your site domain name you want and i'll sort oyu out. Got a horrible day today. bloody...actually i wont even start. Lets just say i have to go tidy up in a minute and then the shits gonna hit the fan all day. all this with no smoke too. Bah is there no end to this torment

Excellent! Just set up my blog, used a different email as suggested by the esteemed Komp and alls well in the world again. everything is just perfect.....
