Crystal Palace v Hull (The Championship)
Johnson is priced at 2.00 by
Bet365 to score at any point during this game. This is a good bet once again, just like it was two weeks ago when Crystal Palace played Stoke. Given that he takes all of the penalties, and has a very good scoring record over the past two seasons this bet looks good. Hull are likely to finish around the middle of the league, so in a game like this the chances of Johnson scoring seem higher than the 50% implied by the odds. Johnson has scored 63 goals in 109 league starts for Crystal Palace, with several of those games in the Premier League.
William Hill offer much lower odds on the same bet.
Southampton v QPR (The Championship)
Southampton have looked in decent form all season, while QPR were well beaten in their last game at Wolves. Southampton are of a similar standard to Wolves, and look to have a particularly strong midfield for this level. QPR are not a terrible team, but look to have a lot of mediocre players. This should be a home win.
Kilmarnock v Dunfermline (Scottish Premier League)
Dunfermline have only picked up a couple of draws this season, and look set for a struggle all season. Kilmarnock have been playing quite well, and look like scoring goals, especially at home. They beat Dunfermline three times at home last season, and should do so again here.
Arbroath v Stenhousemuir (Scottish Division Three)
By all accounts Arbroath are defending very poorly at the moment, which is not a good sign for this game, given that Stenhousemuir probably have the best strikers in this division. Stenhousemuir have won all of their league games so far and look a good bet here. This is especially true as usually there are almost as many away wins as home win in this league. Arbroath suffered the same number of home defeats as away defeats last season.
Cowdenbeath v Berwick (Scottish Division Three)
There have been a lot of changes at Cowdenbeath this season, both managerial and on the playing side. They have not had a settled team, and it may take them a while to show signs of improvement. Berwick have been scoring goals for fun and have looked very impressive all season. Cowdenbeath may well do alright this season, but at the current time, Berwick are on much the better form, so have to be the bet in this game.
Summary: The cricket bet on Northants will be settled today, with Northants having a fair chance of winning providing there is no rain. Any bets for Sunday will be sent in good time as usual.
Best of luck with any bets you decide to place,
