Re: Spread Betting
KJ Choi ended rnd 3 -5 and R Sabbatini ended -1 so KJ won by 4 strokes
10pts for the win and 3pts per stroke is 22pts, -the 5 leaves a nice tasty 17pts (£170) profit. ![]() |

Wigan vs West Ham (1st goal 12th min) +20pts (£100)
![]() Arsenal vs A Villa (Arsenal 1st goal 89th min) -51pts (£255) ![]() Stevenage vs Accrington (1st goal 24th min) +14pts (£70) ![]() Stevenage vs Accrington (2nd goal 45th min) +19pts (£95) ![]() Really annoyed with myself for the arsenal bet.. Not just because it lost and cost me over £250 but because it was a changed bet from one that i was initiallt going to take.. My bets were going to be sells of 1st and 2nd match goals in both the wigan and arsenal games and if i stuck to my original intentions i would of made 105pts (£525) profit.. but instead i made £155 loss which is a pretty hefty £680 difference ![]() Ref had a shocker too in not awarding arsenal a nailed on pen 1st half.. RVP also hit the post.. and just before HT, RVP rolled Dunne who tripped over his own feet.. RVP squared it across for a simple tap in and the ref gives a foul against RVP ![]() Managed to claw back the arsenal losses straight away in the stevenage/accrington match. I was thinking of selling 1st match goal in the A Bilboa/Malaga and villareal/madrid games but at 30 & 29 bit to low for me.. so I have left alone and nothing more on the spreads this weekend.. Weekend Profit: +£180 Peanuts compared to what it really could & should of been.. if i stuck to my original bets i set out to do then id of made £960 profit which for 36hrs cant be sniffed at |

Re: Spread Betting
I'm quite interested in spread betting but never signed up for any accounts, prob have a good study of it over the summer and look to get into it over next season..can see from your figures over the weekend of how it can go right or horribly wrong, in reality you called all the matches well and I would have agreed on the sell of the West Ham game certainly, just a bitch so much profit was wiped out by the gooners. Do you stick to £5 point always in football matches?

Re: Spread Betting
Spread betting can have massive swings so if you are just getting into it my best advice would be to stay away from the HIGH VOLATILITY markets such as "total goal minutes" (TGM) etc etc these can have 150-300pts swings which can cost you dearly..
it is best to stick to markets where you're losses will be limited like "total goals" markets etc where you only win/lose a few pts rather than 100's of pts. As for my stakes it all depends on how volatile the market is... Bets i do most on the spreads are "1st & 2nd match goal" and these i use £5pt stakes as these markets are'nt too bad unless you sell and the game is 0-0 then that can be damaging..Corners is another one of my main bets and i always BUY doing corners i NEVER SELL so losses here are never too damaging as losses are only normally 1-3pts whereas the wins are 1-10pts. Corners I bet at £25pt and other market i sometimes use is total goals where i stake £100pt but it is rare i use the spreads for total goals as i prefer to use betfair so I can trade in-play if needed. Now again I play the "total goals minutes" market if i think there is some value to be had and here I only go about £1-2pt I have only been spread betting for 1 year.. i looked into during last years world cup and played aound abit then took it more seriously during the season.. Corners so far this season I am +67pts with just next weeks premiership games & play of games remaining to make some cash. Total goals I am only 9.2pts in profit but like I said the majority here is done on betfair. 1st & 2nd match goals are good earners for me and so far this season I am just under 1800pts in profit.. I dont really do much in the summer.. play a few of the scandinavian league markets just to keep me ticking over but june/july very quiet for me (time for holidays and drink) |

Re: Spread Betting
Cardiff vs Reading
Shane Long TGM BUY @ 16 (£5pt) Ian Harte TGM BUY @ 8 (£5pt) Going for a couple of reading goalscorers tonight.. worst case scenario is they both fail to score which will result in a £120 loss but I am Ok with that. A 2nd half hat trick would be nice ![]() |

Re: Spread Betting
Excellent 1st half for me in the cardiff/reading match.. went exactly as I expected it would..
Guaranteed £375... if long or harte can find a 2nd half goal will be superb (the later the better) |
