Re: My World Cup campaign thread
Good day yesterday with both of my lays winning but today's the big one. England and Mexico going through would put my campaign on a serious knifedge. I'd settle for England and Argentina both going through to give me the option to lay Argentina over 90minutes in the next game.
I've backed Frank Lamplard to score on the spread betting and I was about to press the button for Johnson when I had a change of heart. I can see JT getting forward regularly for set pieces if they go a goal down so I'm going for him at 1pt at 5. |

Re: My World Cup campaign thread
I've always been a fan of "over the line" technology. I think everyone with a brain is. Sep Blatter and his retard mates aren't. Penalty decisions etc are a different matter. We've all seen expert panels sit for half an hour and still not decide whether it was a pen or not, fuck that, let the ref carry on fucking it up.Anyway, a good day for me today but more importantly, i'm now all green on the last six left in the comp on betfair. I could move some money around and make it a constant profit but that would take the fun out of the competition so I'll leave it with my main profits on Argentina and Spain. My Brazil and/or Spain to get to the final bet is half down and that means I'm relying more heavily on Spain than any of them. Tomorrow I have a straight lay of Argentina at 90 mins at about 6/4 to protect my long term bet and a bonus if the argies go through after ET or pens. Similar story with Spain with a straight lay bet at around 1/2 and an asian handicap bet for no bet if Spain win by one and plus or minus an even stake if they win by more than one or don't win. This way I lose some money if my teams win in 90 mins but make some back if they are knocked out or go on to win in extra time, pens (or Spain win by 1 goal) |
