My Football Betting Season
YEY, football season is almost back and I’m coming prepared.
I need a plan, some guidelines, something to focus on, prepare for. Something to learn from and take into the following season. I’m going to trial a some different bets (with small cash), on 5 different systems/strategies, a couple of which are based on two competitions that I enjoyed playing last season.….. Football Prediction Game - I Know the Score - from the Premier League Fantasy Premier League - a Fantasy Football Game for the Barclays Premier League Both are great competitions and I know some of you already play them, if you don’t then check ‘em out. As already said this will be treated as a trial with small cash stakes, I’ll not always have time to post the bookmaker up but the odds will be up from a choice of these. … BetDaq, Betfred, Blue Square, Coral, Hills, Paddy Power, Skybet and Stan James (to start). Anyway, on with it….. Bet Type 1 - Prem’ Correct Scores From the correct score market, based on the I Know The Score game, every score I enter I will have a whopping 50p on. With 380 Premiership games to be played, this bet will cost me £190.00 over the season. One correct score from each game week will probably bring me short of breaking even, a little above that and I should be in profit. Bet Type 2 - Goal Scorers From the Fantasy Football competition, 1 or 2 players from my dream team each week (or who I’d like in my dream team but have missed the transfer deadline), who i think have a good chance of scoring. 1st, Last, Anytime and e.w market. £4 per game week, total season cost £152.00 Bet Type 3 - The Accy' A £2 accumulator on all games in the prem each game week (1X2 market). This bet will cost me around £76 over the course of the season. Should I land a full week (10 games) I could expect to see anything from £1000 to a £7000 hit. Last season through playing I Know The Score, I hit 1 x 9/10 correct and 3 x 8 out of 10 correct. I did see 2 other players (out of 19) hit a perfect 10...and both finished some way below me. So there is a small chance of a nice payout if lucky enough . This may take a season or 3 before I land one. Bet Type 4 - The Odds Against Single £4 on, with a max’ of 2 bets per week. I’ll be doing this bet not so much for checking profit or loss but more for checking win and losing sequences. I’m possibly going to be looking at a Martingale system next season so my aim for this season is to not hit 5 consecutive odds against losers.Bet Type 5 - The Loose Tenner A Maximum of £10 per week on anything I like from the football markets. Other than a maximum of £10 per week there are no other rules. I may split my tenner over the course of the week. So that’s me hobby sorted for the season, Dream Teams, Predictions and Small Bet Trials galore. About £25 - £30 per week, (to anyone offended, apologies for using £s instead of pts, but it’s small stakes on trial, not big bollocks betting and i just cant be arsed to convert). There’s still a couple of weeks before I start so if you have any doubt’s or questions, then feel free to mention. Right, i’m off to tinker with me dream team ![]() |

It's all irrelevant anyway as i'm knocking this on the head, it's to much pissin aboot. I've changed my mind on what i'm going to do with my gambling this season. I started the thread with £160, i'm £3.93 down and have put another £6.07 on Man City to win the Prem @ 17 This leaves me with £150 to go for a Martingale (variation) system. Yep..that's riiiiiiiight ![]() I wanna get that buzz back in my gambling, that shit your pants feeling when you're chasing losses with a big stake for a small profit. Now i know that sooner or later it's doomed for failure but how far can i go before it does? Can i go long enough to pull a small profit off it? I'll go find out. The plan.... £150 bank start To Win £5 profit with bet 1 Should it lose.. to win back stake + £5 profit with bet 2 Should that lose.. to win back stakes + £10 profit with bet 3 Should that lose.. to win back stakes + £15 profit with bet 4 Should that lose.... i'll assess but will probably say fuck it and go all in with remaining fund (including any profit accumulated) with bet 5 I can only back at odds greater than 2.00 and should the bank double then so will the targets. I'm away to look for a bet ![]() |

Re: My Football Betting Season
OOH 4 bets down, what a shitter.
All in with 83 quid then? Nah, sod that martingale bollocks (how poor attempt was that). I’ve not really been putting the necessary time into my gambling, i’ve almost lost the love for it tbh. I haven’t touched the horses for 3 or 4 months and poker about the same. So instead of going all in on a single match or dwindling it down to fcuk all I’ve stuck the reamaining money on Ante Post, for a longer interest. I may still have the odd bet on the shop coupon but not really to interested for now or the near future. Here’s how I’m leaving this thread… Quote:
£33 @ 15.5 on Man City again. £50 @ 2.3 on Chelsea to win the Prem Obviously i hope both go down and Liverpool win it... i just get the feeling that blue is the colour this season. Original Bank start £160.00 Chelsea returns £113.70 Man City returns £538.41 |

Re: My Football Betting Season
Why not Horsham?
They have the players to score lots of goals..Kanoute, Negredo, Adriano and Fabiano... Fabiano i rate very highly. With a bit of luck along the way i think they could well be semi finalists, i can lay them at a much shorter price then. I doubt they'll win it but semi finalists or even finalists with that bit of luck. I just talked myself into another £5 @ 38 |
